I contacted Ricardo about a newly listed property available for rent in the location I desired with all the amenities we were looking for at the price that fell within our BAH (basic allowance for housing) from the military. Ricardo's immediate email response was to require that we pay a $25 credit check fee per adult UP FRONT prior to seeing the property. This a very shady practice (we've been both renters and homeowners throughout my partner's 15-year military career). My last straw was when within a few hours of posting the property and garnering my interest, Ricardo increased the monthly rent by $100! Real estate agents are supposed to know the value of the properties they represent. There are apps and websites to help with this process. To go from one price to another in a matter of hours is horrible service. I will be avoiding Ansley Realty from here on out. I do not recommend renting nor listing a property for sale with this company. read more

I really hope from reading all the reviews that they aren't jerking us around.. We submitted applications and were told that they'd call us back. Not one call at all. An it's like I'm having to beg for any information whenever we call back since they can't return our calls like they said they would. If I could give this business 0 stars I would. Do not ever even think about wanting to rent from this company . They say they will send you an application through email and they don't ! Very unprofessional. The person I spoke to was Ricardo he was very nice until I mentioned I had an emotional support animal, then his attitude totally changed because they don't accept dogs but I'm sure as a company you are not supposed to deny emotional support animals. This company needs to hire new people and fire this dude and those broads that work in the office. All these bad reviews . Do not expect professional service from this property mgmt. company. They have zero concern for the tenants and are only interested in financial gain. If you have any repair issues, expect to ask multiple times over several months for help, with only repeated broken promises and lies. Most recent example: Six requests to make a repair (2 to the office, 3 to the maintenance guy, and 1 to the owner of the company). "We will take care of it immediately" "I will do it tomorrow" "we will make sure it gets fixed asap", etc. Well, still waiting after 4 weeks of requests. Weather damaged front door and garage doors that pose security risk? They decided to finally repair them after 2 years of tenant requests, only because the residence is now being put up for sale. I've never worked with such a horrible Realty company such as this one. Poor business ethics, incompetent people work there and their service to their tenants is awful. I really don't know how this owner of this company is still in business. I've had awful experience with this Realty company having to make sure things get repaired in a condo I rent not own. Rented a commercial space from them. At move in carpet was dry rotted and would shred millions of fibers at every vacuum. Reported to Brian several times, owner refused to replace. at new 1 year lease, owner agreed to replace carpet and tile within 90 days of lease signing. Did not happen! Reluctantly, they eventually gave me a 1 month rent credit for the 12 month of the lease. Owner refused to give credit for the value of the carpet and tile cost. At move out, was charged an extra $200 plus dollars for 11 days after my move out date because my move out notice was given on the 11th of the month. Technically not a 30 day notice but owner was given prior verbal notice with the promise of a written notice when move out date was determined. Staff members (not all) are rude, inattentive. They are very slow to respond to maintenance needs (if they respond at all). Greed! read more

Where to begin? I rented a property with a one year contract, under their management. I was supposed to move in on Labor Day weekend, and got there with all my stuff on a Friday night. The place was a mess... I mean, from roaches on the floor, to mold on the freezer, old food in the refrigerator, to things left behind from the previous tenant.... So I did not move in. I gathered all my things and went to a friends house for the weekend, since I had moved out of my property that same day, and could not go back. To make the long story short, I contacted them via email and phone. No emergency contact was available for immediate assistance. After asking them to contact me ASAP, I got an EMAIL back from them the night after. No phone call, just an email apologizing. Finally spoke to them on Sunday, and after asking for a full refund, they told me to contact their office on Tuesday. Spoke to them Tuesday and Wednesday, and pretty much got the run around. Until finally, I was told that I "had obviously changed my mind about the property, and that's why (I) did not want to move in." I had to ask to speak to Mr. Wayne Ansley himself, and when he asnwered his phone I got nothing but rude service, screamed at me telling me I did not want to come through with my contract, and that if he was in my position, he would've moved in anyway if he had no place to go. So pretty much blamed ME for the property not being up to California Code. When I did mention CA code to him, he told me I "had no idea what California Code was" and that I "have not been doing realty for 40 years" like him. Also, he asked to give Ansley AT LEAST $100 to $150 for the "inconvenience" I caused. Excuse me? Inconvenience? I'm the one with all my things in boxes and no place to live! I threatened to sue, and the next day I got my full deposit and full first month's rent. I don't know why I had to threaten to sue, when it should've been something simple. Recognize you screwed up, and give the money back. But, apparently not giving people good customer service, and thinking that peopl have no idea what they're talking about, is basically how they conduct business. So in other words, DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. read more

If I could score this business a negative 5, I would! My family and were going to rent a home from this company, thank God we did not! I went to turn in the application for a rental home, and was treated horribly by the man at the front desk. I over looked it thinking he may have been busy and using a bad day. I returned the next day to turn in the security dept and when I walked in, a woman appeared and did not greet me in a nice way at all, she hastily said "how much money did you bring?" I brought the amount we verbally agreed on per our phone conversation. Suddenly that amount had changed by $300, not in my favor. So, we really liked the home so I was willing to pay it. Next she handed me a piece of paper stating I needed to sign that my deposit was non refundable. I told her that is illegal and had to call my husband, at work, to verify. I stepped outside to call and after telling him of my experience he said to leave and forget it! When I walked back in and told we were not willing to sign that paper she said "you have failed us"! I grabbed my deposit and my toddler and left. Very upset that we had been treated so poorly and were now back to square one on our very limited time search for a home! I never received a phone call or anything! Now, we are actually in the market to purchase a home. It only did they lose the referrals of friends and family that I would have given them but we would have worked with them to purchase our new home! Their loss! might I add that I have been a Property Manager for seven years and if any of my staff had EVERt treated someone in this fashion, they would have been terminated promptly! If Mr. Wayne wants a successful real estate/management company, he should consider completly cleaning house of his office team! The most rude, insensitive people I have ever encountered! Btw, I'm happy to report that we are now in a home that is beyond amazing from owners that absolutely wonderful! Your loss Ansley! read more

Wish I could give ZERO stars. This is one of the most unprofessional businesses I have ever encountered. I see that I am not the only one who has taken the time to comment on their blatant lack of concern for ethical and professional behavior. Danny who used to work there along with Brian were courteous and respectful, got us in our apartment right away without hassle. Now there has been a change of new management apparently and Ricardo could not be more condescending and rude. Despite effort on our part as exceptional 3 year tenants with only two maintenance requests during that time, Ricardo sent out plumbers to look at our clogged kitchen sink and 'fix' it. A week later, the sink/disposal was backed up once again. Instead of partnering with us to provide useful suggestions on how to properly care for our obviously sensitive disposal he immediately denies any responsibility for this issue and states that it is the tenant's responsibility. The quote is $327. How on earth could we have clogged the sink in one weeks's time? Perhaps the plumbers you hired didn't do it right the first time? I calmly stated that there wouldn't be an issue in paying for the repair if we were informed of what we had been doing wrong when using the sink/disposal. He said "don't put food down the disposal." Ok so that should be assumed? I just got my own estimate and the sink/plumbing was completely cleared out from the main line. Bills Plumbing in North Park was fast and kind. He said this was a common main line issue and that several other lines ran directly to this line so it's likely that it will continue to happen and there's not much we can do about it. Anyway he did it and charged me only $110. Lovely man, great business practice. Ansley Realty on the other hand, con artists. I will also be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. read more

I would give no star if it's available. I do not usually write reviews but I just have to do this time so no one has to fall in the same mistake we made. We hired Ansley Realty as our property manager since 2010. We were happy with Brian, previous manager. Brian was very professional. Since he left few years ago, this office had gone bad with the new manager. They charged me for lawn service with dead grass. Didn't know until HOA sent us pictures for completely dead grass. Property had notice of moving out but no post for rent. No ads for 3 weeks after tenant moving out. Keep asking for link to rent ads, get nothing back accept for " will email later". After 3 year of rent, they told me the rent still stays stay the same as fair market rent and no link to ads made available to us. We looked around and found out rent in the area for similar property was at least $350-400 more. We finally decided to take property back and now rent it out at $300 more only one week after taking over the property. Hope no one made the same mistake like we did read more

Ansley is the worst property manager you will ever rent from. I would not rent from these people if I had to live in my car. We relocated to san Diego and rent at Hawaiian gardens at 1031 imperial beach. We pick up the keys and saw the apartment for the first time, it was unbelievably dirty: the toilet was nasty, the apartment is extremely hot and to find out it was a hot pipe due to bad plumbing and it was always 90 degrees. We told them and nothing was done. We did not know we can get out of our lease. Everything was old and looks like they have not upgraded this unit for 60 years. The refrigerator was old and broken down and they refused give us a better one. There was no lights, ceiling fans, the counter was chopped and it was chopping board. We asked for a vertical blind and brian kelley the property manager said go and get it at home depot. They did not even do a walk through. There are constantly complaints of termites and roaches. We had no onsite manager. We finally had a manager and she quit after a month saying that these are the "shittest" people to work for because they would not spend a penny to fix anything for the tenants and they made her pay part of her rent and pay her very little. After 5 months later they found some harassing manager name veronica Martinez: she threaten you constantly like towing your car, cutting bike locks if you left them outside on bike rack and she sold them, if you come and talk to her about the apartment she said you were harassing her, she will never answer your calls and was never in the office. Older residents who have been here for said this place is going downhill ever since anlsey took over. When they cut the trees, they busted a pipe and there was an open sewage line or open sewage: toilet paper and dirty water were everywhere flowing in the street. Recently there is tagging all over the apartment and we feel very unsafe here. Anyways, please beware of anlsey and Hawaiian gardens. read more
