The ambiance falls between casual and fine. Cannot say enough about the options. All four of our meals were excellent and prices for what you received were very fair. Known for their Italian dishes (and fish fries) I tried the veal parmigiana with angel hair pasta id it was great. If you can, order a side of greens which were really flavorful. Dessert options are limited but we were too full to even consider any. I am sure they are good. You can take your date or your whole family.

First, the sandwich. Bun NOT TOASTED. Lazy cooks; unacceptable. Toast the bleeping bun! I like cheese as much as the next person, but I didn't ask for a taffy-pull sandwich with flavorless mozzarella (which should've been white American or provolone) that was piled at the bottom of the thing, but should have been mixed in with the beef and onions. The bell peppers they added were okay, but peppers don't belong on a Philly. The onion slices were very large, very few, and on the al dente side. Inconsistent slicing and cooking. Lazy cooks. The ground beef -- not the appropriate thinly SLICED beef; it's a Philly CheeseSTEAK sandwich -- was very DRY and somehow, even with the inappropriate peppers and the onions mixed in, it lacked seasoning. It was bland. Very bland. You know where these folks made up for the lack of the sandwich seasoning? By drowning the fries in salt. While I was pleased to see real potatoes used, the salt dump made them pretty much inedible. I hate throwing food away, but the salt was overwhelming. It's an absolute truth that you never get a second chance to make a first impression; this is especially true of restaurants. The "Fireplace Philly," at $13.99, was over-priced and below average. I have zero incentive to give this place a second chance.

The venue was beautiful inside and out the food was INCREDIBLE and honestly a dream. My friend new what she wanted and asked for it planning and planned a BEAUTIFUL wedding. She hired a personal wedding planner to help make her dreams come to life and it was beautiful. HOWEVER, let me just say my bride showed incredible compassion and grace day of because if this had been MY day I would be getting my money back. The staff of the barn was disorganized and SO rude. They made comments about the bride and her family as well as the groom and her family TO GUESTS at the wedding. They were also exhibiting the same behavior to an entire wedding group the day BEFORE the wedding. I know some of the other vendors who were staffed at my brides wedding personally and they even said that the coordinator is rude and hard to work with and that's it their least favorite venue to work with. The unprofessionalism of this woman ALONE would lead me to NEVER recommend this venue to another person or family who is looking to host one of the most sacred and special ceremonies of their lives. Like I said my bride had a wonderful time because she didn't let it ruin her day but I would NEVER wish that experience on some one else. Your wedding day should be all about you and you shouldn't have to worry about a grown woman exhibiting such immature and UNPROFESSIONAL behavior.

Prior to this we had several events at this hall, and the one next door, including a wedding shower. I can say with full confidence that we will NEVER BE RETURNING. As the pandemic raged we called to see what our options were about the baby shower. We knew that we signed a contract that said we would not get our deposit back due to events outside the halls control. That being said Ohio was in a full shut down and gatherings were not permitted. We were told by management that our event was not part of the shut down because it was a "religious ceremony", and we would not be able to collect our deposit. We questioned them about how this was a religious ceremony, but they would not provide us with an answer. We asked if we had any other options because we did not feel safe having the baby shower, and knew the baby would be born before it was safe to gather again. We were told by an employee that we could either reschedule an event within the year, or we could get our deposits worth in banquet food to go. We were unsure of what to do since the pandemic still had everything closed, and we knew we had a year to figure it out. Fast forward to this May, 2021, we finally felt comfortable to have a few people at our house. We called Avion to use our deposit to get food, but they refused. They told us that we were lying and that buying food was never an option. It is a shame that a local business would take advantage of people during a global pandemic, and make promises that they would later lie about. I would recommend anyone to look elsewhere before scheduling an event with such an untrustworthy organization.

The place is beautifully decorated and the outside views of the golf course and the huge manmade lake are spectacular (see photos). The food....oh mamma the food! This buffet style event included pasta with marinara, Italian greens, Chicken Milanese, garlic green beans, Italian sausage and peppers, carving station with Angus Sirloin, Caesar and tossed salad options and their homemade peppers and oil. Zero and I mean zero complaints on any of it. From the perfectly cooked and tender sirloin to the Chicken Milanese to the pasta, all was absolutely delicious. The dessert table or as we call it here in Youngstown, "The cookie table" included mini cannoli, mini Bundt cakes, homemade cookies and cupcakes. This was not provided by the venue but still worth mentioning because all was delectable. After dining, I proceeded to the outdoor deck that overlooks the ninth hole and the lake and enjoyed a nice after dinner cigar with friends. Great food with great service and great views, this is a solid five star venue. I hope to be able to attend another event here in the near future. Everything was that good.

I found this to be extremely disheartening and discouraging, as the condemnation stemmed from sheer racism and Islamophobia. Yet me advocating for Palestinian rights outside of work, off the clock, cost me my job. I just feel like people have the right to know what kind of business they're supporting-- and at The Lake Club, you can be served by someone who threatens to kill people in the kitchen, but not someone who says "free Palestine" 7 hours away from the club.

Given its condition, it should either close or at least offer a discount, informing guests about its current situation. After a long drive, we wanted a clean and comfortable room to rest in. Unfortunately, this hotel didn't have what we were looking for. The AC in our room was off, the room was hot and dusty, visibly they were working on it. The bathroom was disgusting, the toilet wasn't clean, some of the towels seemed to be dirty, and the floor had some stains, that visibly needed a deep cleaning. At this point, we were tired and just went to get some sleep. We went to breakfast around 8:30, but they ran out of eggs and bacon, so we didn't eat anything. The employees were too busy eating breakfast as well to ask us if we needed anything. The hotel was a mess, but it seemed like they didn't care.

We were in town for the OAC wrestling tournament and one of the selling points when we booked was the pool and gym. Our first issue was that when I booked(on the phone) I was never told these ammeneties that we booked for would be unavailable. I understand that renovations happen and I do understand it was listed on the website, but again I booked via a phone call. I found out two days before arrival via an email with confirmation of my stay. This was annoying and incovienvent but not an overall giant issue. However, we had MANY incoviences during our stay. The automative lights in the hallway of the rooms were an absolute nightmare, they went off at least four times a night- anytime someone would roll over or their feet hung off or a pillow fell. This would wake the kids up and cause adults to have to get up to turn them off. There was no hot water Saturday evening or Sunday morning, so not showers...although we had decently hot water Friday evening on arrival. The lock to our bathroom door did not lock. Multiple outlets by the bed did not work. There were silverfish in one of the rooms showers-again this is a small issue I would overlook if not accompanied by many others. We came to breakfast at 8;30am Saturday and ourselves as well as others were waiting quite a while for food to be made as all the hot items were gone and the breakfast area was out of disposable plates... I will say once more hot food came out I thought it was a nice morning spread. The beds were comfortable, the rooms seem recently renovated, and the woman at the front desk was appologetic, helpful, and friendly. The hotel is obviously still doing some repairs and/or renovations but this should be told to people booking and if it interferes this much with someone's stay the establishment should consider closing for the renovation time.

I can only assume it was the manager/owner that delivered our food. I asked why we had a limited menu as I read here on Yelp I should have the prime grilled cheese. This man offed it to me on the house now that is some great customer service. I had to decline bc we have such a long drive ahead of us but he hands down was so kind. So I'm going with 4 stars.
