I personally loved it. I like the decor and vibe but music is a bit loud for my taste. Food was fantastic, I got the Broken egg Biscuit Sandwich, Heavily buttered biscuit with two seasoned right fried chicken tenders, sausage gravy that was tasty af and I got it with my egg scrambled. And cou try potatoes, cubed, crispy, and had good flavor. Wifey had the Lobster hash. Lobster was tender, had a poached egg on top of crispy hash, she loved it. We both got side stacks of pancakes. Bourbon Street and the goat cheese blueberry. The blueberry ones were dry, but the flavor was good. Now the Bourbon ones were sauced up with a Bourbon caramel, bananas and pecans. It was delicious. Service was decent. We got there early but it got filled up pretty quickly and of course have impatient customers that become Karen's and mess with the flow of things. Finally ate here after driving by and seeing all the crowds. Wed. Morning wasn't very busy when we first came but was full by the time we left. I had the Shrimp and Grits and wife had the Apricot Pancakes. The S and G was very good and very tasty. Wife thought they were skimpy on the apricots and berries on top. I do think the prices are a little high for ELP but I get it with inflation nowadays. I wish them well but judging by the lines, I think they will make it. read more

Went in for breakfast around 11 am on a Friday and got seated right away. It seemed pretty busy, but not overwhelming. Paul helped us and he was great! Super friendly and informative, while making great conversation in general. My husband and I got the strawberry pound cake french toast and the southwest scrambler. The french toast came with a side of the egg and your choice of meat and the scrambler came with tortillas and your choice of a side. The scramble was great! Good flavors and is not something that I could get tired of quickly. The guacamole and salsa on the side were a great addition also! My French toast was a bit too sweet for me, but I think it's probably just because it was a bit early in the day. It had a subtle touch of cinnamon and the pound cake was super soft and moist. I was born in NOLA and was looking forward to trying this place. I had a break been appointments and decided to pop in, by myself, for a late lunch. Entryway was cluttered with odd construction stuff and hostess seemed either annoyed or unsure of what to do. I had to promt with "table for 1 please." That was the extent of the conversation though. The new location seems to be sorting out some issues, but the menu is creative and has potential. The 80s/90s vocal pop/rock background music is a bit much for a relaxed brunch place. Lemon blueberry pancakes presentation left something to be desired, but the taste was fine. Some undercooked batter in the middle and really uneven distribution of berries and goat cheese crumbles. My over medium eggs were perfect, but the tiny chicken sausages arrived nearly 15 minutes after the rest of the food. The house blend coffee is nice enough - I appreciate the option to request a "strong" brew. Not sure why the server asks which creamer you want when they give a small assorted basket rather than the item you requested. Refill arrived quickly, but without the half and half to enjoy it. The custom coffee mugs are cute and fit in the hand nicely, but are on the small side for my personal tastes. I write this as Guns & Roses blasts on the speakers and I'm considering whether I'll be back. 2 eggs, 3 slightly odd pancakes, 2 tiny sausages and coffee for $20.00. Maybe I'll give it a few more months to sort out things and give it another try. My server was polite, apologetic and generally good. Just not a particularly satisfying experience. read more

Newest place on the Westside. They took over the old Village Inn on the corner of Sunland Park and Mesa. They are a breakfast, brunch and lunch place only with a Louisiana Creole and Cajun flavor! Very unique taste with lots of great options and a full bar! The servings are pretty big and the atmosphere and service was on point! We went on a Sunday at around 12:30pm for brunch and there was a wait until we were offered seats at the bar, it was super comfortable and again the service was excellent! This place reminds me of a classic American diner. It's a place your grandparents would love and your kids would be comfortable at. They have an extensive menu, which even included crab with eggs!
