I had heard of this place so I decided to give it a try and see what it had to offer. I read the prior reviews which had mixed comments but nonetheless I wanted to try it for myself. Right off the bat, they don't carry beer which is a must with seafood. Nonetheless, I bought a six pack and now armed with my beer, I stepped up to the challenge. The place was empty at lunch time(not good) but I continued with my spirits high. The menu was bland looking, it was lacking pictures of the food and all prices were market price so u didn't know the price of what you were ordering. Unless you are going Dutch, bring a fat wallet just in case.... The waiter was very friendly, patient and explained the dishes very well but he did need to go and check current market price. He set up my beer on a bucket of ice so that definitely kept my hopes alive. When the food arrived disappointment slowly crept in. EVERYTHING was bland and the food was over powering with the seasoning. The potatoes were rock hard and were not edible. The lobster, crab, shrimp and corn all tasted as though they had been cooked separately and then thrown together and a bunch of seasoning was then added to the mix. The French fries and sausage were good but in the end, disappointing and for the price...extremely disappointing. Verdict: my beers were kept cold and truth be told; they were the highlight of this meal. If u want seafood...sad to say, go to Red Lobster if that's even considered real seafood.

Today, unfortunately was the last day for dine-in. From tomorrow onward, it will be take-out. The young man at the counter was super nice and friendly. He helped us make our choices. I had steak and lobster. My husband had shrimp and crab. My steak was prepared perfectly. The lobster tail was split lengthwise so it was easy to pull off the shell. One full piece of corn, rice, potato and sausage were a part of the meal for each of us. My only complaint was that next time I will ask for the sauce/topping on the side. There was too much sauce for my taste. Other than that our meals were wonderful. Please patronize our local restaurants. Enjoy your visit to Trap and Crab.

It's my son's 6th birthday today and we're new to El Paso we've been moving around quite a bit so he doesn't have many friends here yet. He's feeling a little down and I must say El Paso has been very welcoming. Thank you for your recommendations! I reached out to Trap N Crab since someone was asking about fresh seafood in a Facebook post in a local group and Justen was offering 10% off the first order. Justen was super responsive when I told him that we were looking to spend around $50-$60 max for 4 adults. Dianne was awesome coming in a little early to make it on time. The seafood was so well flavored, big portioned, and hit the spot! Thanks for accommodating our family! Omg it was a huge hit!

This is the lobster, double crab and double shrimp combo. Food was very cold, oily, and overcooked. !!!NOT WORTH YOUR MONEY!!!

One star because I received my food. This is the lobster double crab double shrimp combo. Lobster tail was cut in half and very small, probably about a $5 tail, tasted like it was drenched in soy sauce. Double crab was 2 knuckles. 20 shrimp, includes the shrimp from this combo and a large shrimp combo. Everything was overcooked, oily and very cold. Will not be returning after this experience.

At the recommendation of a friend I decided to try this place. I was not disappointed. Every entree/combo comes with rice, corn, potatoes and sausage. I ordered the crab and shrimp. I got a good helping of everything with a good cajun flavor(although not really spicy). They oddly only had 2 menus, one taped to the front door (facing to the outside) and one on the counter where you order so ordering took a little longer (there were 4 of us) since we each had to take a turn reading through the many options. All and all I think this place will be great once we can actually stay and eat inside.

    King crab plate was delicious.

Literally the best seafood that I've had in EP, customer service was great and fast and extra cautious. I'll be back for sure!

This restaurant looked very promising. But the food was gross and didn't have any flavor at all.

One young lady, I imagine she was the hostess, made a displeased face when we walked in, sighed visibly and trotted over to greet us and seat us at a table. Terrible first impression, I have to say. Our server, Trey (hope I spelled it right) was nice, professional, knowledgeable and overall a pleasure. I guess he made the experience more bearable, but not by much. We ordered some appetizers (mozzarella stick, chips and queso, hush puppies and shrimp) that were good. The main dish, the crab fried rice, touted fresh crab in its description. I don't expect the crab to move in my plate to prove it is fresh, but whatever was put on top of the fried rice was not crab, by any definition I have encountered. It seem it was leftover scraped crab from the day's cleaning of the shells, combined with too much pepper. WAY TOO much. The fried rice wasn't any better, could not eat much of it. The onions that were cut with an axe were the proverbial onion on your fried rice. I believe that when restaurants have something to hide, they will over season the food, so the customer can't tell it was not fresh. Very disappointed. This place is not sure what it wants to be : seafood, Southern Louisiana, Korean, Japanese or Chinese. They should pick a theme and stick with it. It's expensive for the quality of the food. Won't be back, and don't recommend.

We both had the snow crab boil. When my friend's came out, it was clearly not a pound, but the manager was very polite and brought her another cluster. The crab was excellent! It wasn't overcooked so it was easy to eat and the garlic butter was to die for! This was definitely the best crab boil I've ever had and will be returning during my next trip to El Paso!
