In 2012, I decided that it was time for me to change the hairstylist that I used to go to since 2001. The reason for the change is because I used to have long, healthy hair when I started getting my hair relaxed in 2001, thanks to my hairstylist at the time. Then, in 2008, I started noticing that my hair was thinning out and I explained this to my old hairstylist but she didn't even attempt to do anything about it.. Unfortunately, I did continue to have the old hairstylist do my hair until I realized that I really needed a change.. And that is when I met Tanika. I explained to her my situation, she changed my relaxer and now my hair is back to being healthy again. And all it took was someone to listen. Tanika is a wonderful person and she definitely takes pride in all that she does. She is never in a rush while doing my hair and I don't have to wait hours before I even get my hair touched. Also, all of the hairstylist, that work at her salon, are so sweet.. It is always a warming welcome when I go inside. read more

I really enjoyed my time here! I called to schedule a visit very last minute and they were still able to find me a time the next day. Admittedly, it took a while to get started since I had to wait over an hour between the previous client and starting on my braids, but I otherwise appreciated Kemi, who did my Senegalese Braids. She had lots of suggestions for me and took great care with each braid during our 9 hour session. Going forward, I would not get this sort of style one with only one braider, but Kemi took it all in stride and made sure to chat with me to keep it lively. Overall, a great experience and I definitely would recommend Kemi if you want some beautiful braids put in! read more

This is my favorite hair salon and my go to whenever I need my hair done. If you're looking for an amazing hair style or a weave that looks like it's coming from the scalp this is the place to go. Tanika is amazing at what she does and always leaves me more than satisfied. I am very tender headed, and I've had trouble in the past finding a stylist that does it leave me going home with a huge headache until I met tanika. Although their prices are a little high, trust me it is worth it. read more

I had Diana Cortez braid my hair in a beehive today and she exceeded my expectations!! For one I was expecting my scalp to be on fire (lol ) due to braids being to tight and it wasn't too tight at all and yet secure. and two my natural hair is quite long so I was expecting to be there a couple hours and she had me done a little over an hour! I will definitely be coming back to her again! Thank you Diana! P.S. she also very sweet and patient . read more
