Usually when I dye my hair it burns badly due to a scalp condition I have, but she was so gentle and there was no pain at all. I told her I had attempted the blonde look myself with box dye to disastrous results, and she was not at all judgy or mad that I had used boxed dye like many other stylists I had been to in the past. She was understanding that sometimes we like to play with our hair ourselves, but she fixed my mistakes and my hair feels even healthier than it did when I came in this morning. She was so fun to talk to and is just such a joy to be around as well. On top of the great experience I had with Rachel, I love that this place is also a beauty supply store with a large variety of products that you can purchase, from dyes and styling products to cute jewelry and makeup. I would highly recommend this salon, and I will definitely be back.

It would not hurt trying to try her out I did! The first time I met her she easily put me at ease. I wanted a low maintenance hairstyle and stay dark. I told her my bachelorette was that night, and she amped my big curls that stayed on for a couple of days. I also had my make-up done there with her brother, Patrick. I left there feeling all glamorous. My second session, I wanted to go ombré. I was a little nervous since I have been dark for a few years. But 'lo and behold, I loved how she made my hair look! It looked great on natural lighting with the caramel color weaved in. Again, I felt like a glamour star. Azelle styled mine and my cousins hair twice and both times, we loved it. Her personality is amazing and she is great at making you feel welcome. I like the fact that she is by appointment only so she only concentrate on one client at a time. It is a small studio with street parking. I love their set-up. Azelle know what she's doing when it comes to hair and her brother, Patrick, is a make-up pro.

When I came to Azelle I still had a lot of red in the lenths of my hair and really long roots with blonde highlights. I am now a blonde again. No red. No roots. It is beautiful and natural. Give Azelle a call. You will not be disappointed.

I then consulted other salons after receiving cut and color from here and was told that it was completely botched. (See the pictures below!!! | I also attached the reference photo that I showed her) When I asked to get a refund for my 180$ service, I was told that I had to either have her fix the mess or receive a 35$ refund. I did not feel comfortable having her redo my hair since she had messed it up so badly the first time, so I politely asked for a refund and was rudely told that she believes her work is great and that 35$ was all I would get back. Also,I was told I would be in the salon 2-3 hours, but instead was there for 5. I had an appointment, which I mentioned beforehand that I needed to go to, but she couldn't finish in time so I ended up leaving the salon with wet hair and couldn't see the horrible results until afterwards. I was a loyal client of Gina's for 6 years but she has shown me that she doesn't care about keeping…read moremy business. It disappoints me to have to update my review. I cannot in good conscience support this business any longer. No matter how talented someone is, customer service and basic decency are paramount. Gina showed me the height of disrespect by not delivering a good product (after months of waiting for it) and then turning around and getting rid of hair that did not belong to her. Picture attached. In October, I asked Gina to make a wig for me. I was so excited about this and provided all of the hair (3 bundles) for the wig construction plus two closures. I asked for it to be completed in time for Halloween. She told me she was working on it. It was not completed in time. For the next several weeks, there was no update and as the holidays approached, we touched base again about the wig. She told me she had done a strand test on the hair (back in October) and that it would work for the color that I asked for. I was not told of any issues until right before Christmas.... Did she really do a strand test then? Just before Christmas, she informed me that she was having difficulty with the hair. I told her we could just do something else but she wanted me to see the hair first. At this point, she had an opportunity to be honest with me and tell me that she could not accomplish what I wanted. Instead, she told me that she needed more time. Again, I was patient and trusted that she was being honest. When I finally saw the hair (pre-wig construction) she had bleached the hair but had not successfully added color back to it and the hair was damaged. She said it wasn't a big deal and that she could continue forward. Since she is the hair expert, I again trusted that she would deliver what was asked for or be honest and tell me that she couldn't. After Christmas, there were more delays and she was unwilling/unable to produce a picture of the wig. She said it would be done by New Years Eve. On Friday, December 30, she sent a pic of the wig. One pic from the back. This was not an attractive wig. The color was not good. I informed Gina that I did not like what I saw. She said she would take the loss. After further consideration, I decided that the best thing to do was to donate the wig to a charitable cause. I did not think it was a total loss. I am sure there were other solutions and I would have liked the opportunity to discuss them with Gina. When I reached out to Gina about picking up the hair and donating it (since she had already said she would take the loss), she informed me she "got rid of it" when I said I didn't like it. She GOT RID OF HAIR THAT WAS NOT HERS. She was unapologetic. She did not offer to compensate me in any way. I am confident that we could have worked something out as professional adults. Gina was unwilling to discuss the matter or offer a respectable solution. I still cannot believe that someone would be so cavalier and cold to a loyal client of 6 years. I have reason to believe that she gave the wig to someone else or possibly sold it. Regardless, she says she no longer has it. Completely unethical. The issue is not that this didn't go as planned. The issue is that Gina's lack of honest, up-front communication and basic respect for me have led me here. I have never dealt with anything so unprofessional and unethical from someone I trusted. Wholly disappointed and disgusted. -----------------------------------------------
