We wanted to incorporate new and traditional elements in our wedding and we weren't sure how to execute all of it. I also ended up traveling last minute for business and had to hand the reigns over to my husband the month before our wedding. Samantha was a life saver! She helped us so much and was our moral support throughout. She was like our "wedding mom" and did everything from providing great recommendations, completing last minute errands, managing our vendors/family/bridal party/guests, and offered words of support. On our wedding day, she and her assistant kept everything moving along. We had a hiccup during our day (totally out of our control!) and she kept us calm and organized the groundskeeper of the property and fire department to come and speedily correct everything. Also a recommendation from our good friends didn't hurt. So we reached out to Jennifer and we all meet at a cafe and Jennifer was eager and ready to work. She asked the appropriate questions, the general vibe we wanted for our wedding, and gained a good perspective of who we were as a couple. Throughout the months, she was on top of everything as well as being always available to answer any questions and getting any requests we needed as we prepared for our wedding. Also, Jennifer nailed the venue we wanted which to this day, our guests tell us is the prettiest wedding venue they've ever seen. Well played Jenn. Now I thought Jennifer was on top of things pre-wedding because she had a beautiful laid out plan through Google Sheets and she had made sure all the vendors had come together as one to celebrate our special day. The amount of organization and attention to detail for something like this is not easy and she made it look effortless. Once we filled out what we needed to fill out like guest information (contact information, allergies, etc), table placements and all the other items, she was quick to look over what we had and provide any edits or advice on anything and everything. Pre-wedding Jennifer is a superstar. Wedding day Jennifer? Absolute beast. Every T is crossed, every I is dotted and with emphasis and enthusiasm. Our rehearsal went smooth and she was always receptive to hear what we wanted and as everything flowed, she could steer everything to make sure it did just that. Wedding day, the event couldn't have gone more perfectly. All those months of planning finally turned into the greatest night of our lives. Not just ours as the wedding couple, but our wedding party, our family and all our friends. Jennifer hasn't heard this yet but as she reads this review, all the family and friends could not get over how the day was just so seamless from each event to the next. We, the wedding couple never felt an ounce of stress. I'm sure Jenn shouldered that entire load but she never showed it and she was always able to give us updates for everything that was going on. We were so happy with everything from beginning to end. Our wedding venue only provided the space, so we needed to hire all of our vendors. Diva was one of the first we booked, over a year in advance. Even though she was technically our "month of" coordinator, she was very thorough in the year and months leading up to our event. She checked in regularly to make sure we had everything we needed and were staying on track, which I did not expect but loved. We had trouble sourcing a few vendors, and she was able to help us out with some suggestions. We ended up hiring 3 of her vendors and they were all great! Since our venue didn't have a waitstaff and our caterer served buffet style, we opted to hire some of her staff members to set up and break down the space, dismiss tables for dinner, fill water and champagne toasting glasses, light candles, set the tables etc. I had a very specific vision of what I wanted the space to look like, and they totally nailed it! My husband and I were stunned and overjoyed when we entered our reception space, they had just done such a great job! Diva created a schedule of events for the day and stayed on schedule for the whole night. As with any event, small hiccups beyond our control arose here and there, and as soon as we notified Diva, she was on it. We were married by a friend who had never performed a ceremony before, so we needed some help running our rehearsal. We hired Diva to do this and she did such a great job. She efficiently led the rehearsal and made sure everyone knew their places and roles. All in all we cannot say enough about Diva and her crew! We put a lot of responsibility on her and she totally shined. If your venue provides the space and nothing else and you need some help, Diva is the person to call. I chose Splendor & Bliss to be my June wedding day-of coordinators. I wanted to do the planning…read moremyself so all I needed was someone to put everything together. Even as day-of coordinators, Kelly and Judith met with my husband and I a total of three times. The first time we met at a coffee shop for introductions and wedding details. What I liked most about the first meeting was that it didn't seem like all business, but comfortable amongst friends. The second meeting took place at the venue. This gave the coordinators the chance to see the venue and discuss with us all the details of the wedding. They made suggestions as well and I liked that their attitude wasn't "it's whatever you want, you're the bride" because lets face it, the bride isn't always right :). The last time we met was the day before the big one for a rehearsal. Kelly and Judith spent about an hour and a half with the whole gang to run through the ceremony and reception details. They even gave everyone a printed timeline. They also had us bring all the items that required setting up for the wedding on this day so that they can hold on to it and set them up the day of. This lifted up the burden of us transporting items the day of and possibly forget something. Throughout this whole experience, I was in constant contact with the coordinators, mainly Kelly. My e-mail exchanges were mainly with Kelly and she was on point with responses, with no more than a day passing. I think it's smart for one of the coordinators being the constant contact because if both of them were to respond to me and at differenct times, there would have been a lot of confusion and/or mix-ups. They have both stressed that I can e-mail them at any time about anything regarding the wedding. Boy did I take advantage and they were still nice to me :). Discussing the timeline alone, Kelly and I exchanged 24 e-mails before getting the perfect schedule (yes, I counted), that's dedication. Kelly sent me a checklist of what I should already have finished and packed for the wedding, which helped immensely. For the wedding, Kelly and Judith an amazing job setting up the venue, if not better. They organized all the decorations according to images I sent them. They gave my husband and I each a small emergency kit. Mine included a packet of tissues, bobby pins, tide wipe, sewing kit, tampon, and breath mints (this one was most important ;) ). Kelly and Judith checked on us often to make sure we were good and comfortable. My wedding was nothing but smooth sails thanks to both of them. They took care of the whole venue, guests, vendors, and timline all in one day. They stayed later than we did to help clean and make sure everything was in order with the venue.
