OMG! This is an absolute must stop in and eat place! The food is so delicious and the dishes are perfectly flavorful! We ordered pad Thai, spring rolls, chicken lemongrass, sautéed beef and shrimp rolls. We were not disappointed at all and each bite was melt in your mouth delicious. Was visiting the red woods National park and stayed in eureka. I was sick of American food for the day and wanted something that tasted like home. I was a bit skeptical because we weren't in an area where there were any Asian people so I wasn't sure if the food would taste authentic but to my surprise...it was amazing! I really liked the pork roll. It reminded me of our Vietnamese dish banh cuon. The pad Thai was too mushy. Not sure if they meant to have it that way but the noodles were over cooked and broken and mushy. The luc lac aka shaking beef was very good. The Cambodian version is a little different. They used sliced beef and had a sour dipping sauce on the side and it was very tasty. I would highly recommend dinner here if you're visiting the redwoods National park. Pretty good southeast asian food. So far the food is consistent and the staff is always friendly. I would say there's nothing spectacular about this restaurant when you come from a city with lots of other options at half the price that blow Annie's out of the water. But for Eureka, it's pretty good. The Curry's, Lok Lak and most of the stir fry have been satisfying. Food always takes forever to come out but if you live in Eureka, you know that. read more

Lamentably, I was unable to experience Annie's Cambodian at its best; the pandemic has relegated their business to exclusively a take-out format. To my delight - as well as that of my party - this did not diminish the flavor of the cuisine. I had Amok Trei, their "signature" dish - catfish soaked in coconut milk and steamed in banana leaves - which was fantastic. The noodle and rice-based dishes my party ordered received resounding approval as well. I will certainly return. Please do consider extending your business to this establishment. Despite the quality of the food and it being dinner hour, we were one of only two cars in the parking lot. Local businesses such as Annie's are struggling through the pandemic, and we must support them before it's too late. read more

This is my favorite place in Humboldt county. Their food is incredible, the art around the restaurant gives such a great vibe to the place. I usually get the Lok Lak, and am always happy with my meal. They are usually pretty busy, but they're always willing to help you with anything you need. Recently ate at the new location. Tried a variety of items on the menu including appetizers, soup, entrees and dessert. The food was great! The service was delightful. Uhm... I didn't have a bad experience at all, it's just not very special. Exterior condition of the building is horrible - where's the pride of ownership? Interior is below average Food was Slightly below average - lemongrass stir fry oily heavy etc. Server (bar seated) was polite as I zipped in 8 minutes prior to 3pm closing. I promised to be quickly in-and-out while other guests were finishing their meals. We were all gone from the restaurant by 3:15pm ( so kudos to the kitchen for the quick stir fry). Wine - a thimble for a glass of white wine, it was laughable...but the server wasn't amused at my disappointment. Oh well. I wasn't inspired in any way at all. So...that's why there aren't any photos :( If this is "five star" rated by others here...well ... I won't even say it. A cool little place - a little hard to access but worth making a stop - our recent visit was enjoyable and satisfying - our meal was fresh and more than enough food for two people. The spring rolls were quite tasty and the chili sauce gave them that extra zing. The red curry chicken was spicy but no where near over the top on the heat, and was flavorful and filling. The service was friendly and accommodating. Overall a good four stars for food and price. Anyone who gives Annie's a poor review doesn't understand ethnic Cambodian cuisine! Moving up from Long Beach I didn't expect there to be a Cambodian restaurant in Humboldt County but I'm so glad there is! I came in on a Monday surprised to see it super busy with a packed restaurant and a decently long queue. I was also pleased to see all of the awards on the walls! I ordered the grilled pork w/ rice and the shrimp papaya salad to go. Understandably it was a little bit of a wait and they did forewarn me that it would take a while. The food tasted similar to how it would taste back home, I loved it! I have a feeling I will become a regular here. read more

Was in town for work and found Annie's. (Spoiler Summary : skip this place and go to nearby Siam Orchid) Called for takeout but was put on hold for 20 minutes. I eventually gave up and decided to order inside instead. The place was empty and ominously lit when we walked in with the shadowy wooden statues giving us a good spook. We were greeted by the owner? And placed our order through her. was told the food would be ready in 15 minutes so we drove to nearby target to pick up some supplies and came back 30 minutes later. Our food still wasn't ready so we waited another 10 minutes inside. During our wait, things got awkward and all we could hear were the kitchen ladies yelling at each other. We wanted to wait outside but it was freezing cold. When we finally got our food, we wanted to pay but the credit card machine didn't work so we paid with cash. Not to be mean but everything up to this point has been kind of "iffy" in terms of experience, service and ambiance so we were hoping the food would be good. I'm not nitpicking either as all of the aforementioned legitimately happened. Sigh.. our disappointment continues. We ordered Lemongrass soup, papaya salad and their house fried rice. -The papaya salad was warm... not sure why. -The Lemongrass soup tasted like canned coconut milk with chili oil in bamboo shoots poured in (the ones you pick up at Asian supermarkets) with cuts of pineapple and whatever random vegetables they had in the kitchen dumped in. It also tasted like curry than lemongrass soup. It was viscous, yellow, really random flavors. Not a fan. -And the fried rice was heavy with soy sauce, super salty and gross. Oh and you also have free hair inside, if you're into that. Terrible experience, didn't finish our food and we picked up some In-and-Out at nearby Bayshore Mall instead. Go to nearby Siam Garden instead. They offer many of the same dishes and are tons better. read more

Small restaurant with great service. The menu is large so we tried a few things to share. Cheese puffs and spring rolls for an appetizer. You can't go wrong with fried dough and cream cheese! The vegetable spring rolls were really good and are served with a sweet sauce and chopped peanuts. The lemon grass beef and rice was the best part of the meal. Peppers onions and beef in a lemongrass and ginger flavored sauce. The pad Thai was a little disappointing. The flavor of the sauce seemed off and it weirdly smelled like puppy kibble. If you love Asian food, be sure to try Cambodian. It riffs on other cuisines but has a distinct mildness of spice that make it unique. Annie's is a cute, hole-in-the-wall spot that could benefit from a bit more time spent cleaning by the staff. My wife and I shared two dishes along with some extra rice. June, 26 2021 8:00 pm We stopped in at Annie's to grab some dinner not expecting to go in anywhere dressed in house clothes. When we got there they were incredibly nice and willing to help us out. We placed a full good sized order and they let us wait while it was cooked it didn't take more than 10 - 15 min. We went straight home and WOW we were so impressed. As a chef I can be very critical. Everything was cooked absolutely perfectly. Beautifully seasoned, good portion sizes and the house made sauces were fantastic, even down to the cheese puffs and sweet and sour sauce. I have never had anything that hasn't tasted great here. It's a small spot kind of tucked away and definitely worth a stop in. They open for dine in Monday. I am increasing this place to a 4 because I eat here almost everyday for lunch. Price is cheap and quality of food is decent. Most of the time I am enjoying their cheese puffs. They have a nice selection of food from pho to combo plates, to hot pots, and more. I have tasted their hot pot. It was a nice change of place. Small enough to feed one person. Only thing I dont like about it, is the noodles they serve with it. I think it would be best served with Vermicelli noodles or udon. Vegies and beef were great! Combo plates: I had their sauted beef. Its a typical plate with good portion. Taste like any other asian restaurants combo plates. Pho: For a place that does not specialize in pho, this place is pretty good. Its great when compared to other spots in eureka. Adding thai chili to the pho gives the broth more impact. Thus, increasing the flavor and deliciousness of the pho. read more
