Used to be great! I had to cut my pancakes with a knife and fork, they were definitely not light and fluffy, more like rubbery and tasteless. After giving some thought to how they were so bad, I'm thinking that they were pre-cooked and microwaved. 3 pancakes for $8.99 is a bit steep too! my husband had 2 eggs over easy with bangers and hashbrowns. the bangers were excellent, eggs ok and hash browns not cooked all the way through. it was better when the English girls were here, although I'm glad the singing/dancing waitresses are gone...that was a little cringey. read more

Man I love this place for breakfast! It is now my favorite place for breakfast! This was my first time visiting this Annie's location, and it is even better than the Lake Elsinore location I have visited a number of times! Much like the Elsinore location the food is excellent and has a very reasonable price. I had the corned beef hash with 2 eggs, hash browns, and sour dough toast. It was some of the best corned beef hash I ever had. My wife got Annie's Super Special which included 2 eggs, 2 sausage, hash brows and toast/biscuit. Both meals were very good! My kids got french toast and pancakes, which was also very tasty! Annie's breakfast is just simply good eats all the way around! Now what makes this location better that the Lake Elsinore location (which I also gave a 5 star review) is the decor is nicer, as is the booth seating, and the staff is more fun. The staff was all not only friendly but they were all into the dancing and fun atmosphere that Annie's is all about. I say you should come to Annie's for the food, but stay around and also enjoy the entertainment! What a fun place! You can count on Annie's Cafe to turn a dull morning into a completely energized one. My family and I were visiting some of our relatives in Murrieta, and on our last morning with them they took us to Annie's Cafe. At first glance, it seems like a normal British-American breakfast place...even though, British-American is new to me. But throughout our dining experience, so many quirky and unique attributes came to light. For one, as first timers - we all were given these goofy hats to wear during our meal. I had to take mine off, otherwise the Flamingo would have eaten my breakfast for me. BUT we were told if we were caught not wearing them, we would have to dance. That brings me to quirky and unique attribute #2 - a lot of dancing. In the hour or so that we were there, we witnessed not 1, not 2, but 3 different dances being performed. Shake it Off! by Taylor Swift, Gangnam Style - Psy, and the frikken Macarena. The waiters perform but so do customers! Beware. It was great to have this kind of entertainment while I was still waking up. Not to mention, the food was absolutely delicious. I ordered the double play! Which addresses all basic food groups. Most breakfast places give you the option of bacon or sausage...this joint lets you have both. Plus your sweet carb (pancakes, french toast, or a waffle) and two eggs any style - only $8.99. This wasn't our first choice for breakfast, every interaction upon arrival though won us over! This area it seemed many locals come out in droves for breakfast and pack the regions establishments, I'm not too picky where I sit so if a counter position was open for a friend of mine and I we were good to go... So what was the first seating that became available? Two seats on the end of the half rectangle counter, perfect! lol The whole place was decked out with Halloween decorations, a waiter had us our soda and water and as we waited to put in our food order my friend said, "Look over your shoulder.", I look and I see a T-Rex costume! Another of the wait staff mentioned in front of me as she noticed my amazement, "Normal, right?!" A number of the staff begin to for a line next to the dino-costume and then Rocky Horror's Time Warp song comes on and they break into dance, hilarious! My friend and I are saying to ourselves what a great place to drop into, by then our order arrives and all looks hearty and delicious. I had the two 5oz. pork chops with hash browns and two eggs over hard, the wheat toast pile was hearty as well. Buddy had the eggs benedict, and we both became quiet as our very hungry tummies were now being looked after. Right about then another line formed that also featured what looked like a father and his two young daughters, this time the music from Thriller came on and more dancing ensued! My sister is visiting from Guam and this was her first breakfast place she went and she loved it so much I had to check it out for myself. I ordered the Annie Special that came with 3 bacon, 2 eggs, hash brown and toast plus a side of French toast. My over easy eggs were kinda almost hard. The hash brown needed to be cooked more and the 3 stars are for the bacon that was cooked perfect. The French toast was too eggy and it was hard. The margaritas are fantastic and our big old Newfie was welcomed with open arms plus everyone is very friendly ... Annie is special, interesting and sweet ..we drove over from Oceanside just to check this place out...The bangers and mash are as good as any in England... Oh my god, what a fantastic place! I am so sad to live so far away, else this would be my go-to for a big breakfast. We stopped here on our way out of Temecula. Since it's located in a strip mall, parking was super simple. To give some context: it was a Monday morning. The restaurant is seat-yourself (at least on a late Monday morning). We ordered the smothered home fries, some other kind of breakfast that had all the basics, one glass of orange juice, and one glass of grapefruit juice. Everything was GREAT. The breakfast sausage - delicious, the bacon - delicious, the pancakes - delicious, the home fries - delicious, the orange juice - delicious. Service was also great. I can't remember the name of the woman who served us, but she had gorgeous Halloween-themed nails - so thank you for making us feel so welcome! read more

They describe themselves as serving great American food with just a twist of British attitude! (the owners are from the UK), which is evident in the snacks available for purchase at the register, to the decor, to menu items, etc. The staff is amazing, friendly and attentive. You can tell they actually enjoy what they are doing. And who wouldn't when the owner breaks into a song and dance - the staff joins her and sometimes, even a customer or two. Came here on a Sunday with a group of 8. Wait was approximately 30 minutes. We were seated down and drinks and food was provided At a timely manner considering the busy Sunday crowd. Are waiter Wendy was very helpful and kept checking on us constantly. As far as food good goes, everything was good. Personally my plate was my favorite which was the country fried steak. Haven't been to Annie's in a long time. Last time I was there with guests I was very disappointed. Ordered the fish and chips and it wasn't very good. This came as a surprise to me because the food is always good. This time the fish was flat and greasy. Not what I am used to. Usually it's flaky. My wife, and I discovered Annie's Cafe by accident on the way looking for another place to eat when we stumbled across Annie's. From the moment we walked in we felt at home by the warm greeting from the cashier to the pleasant waiter who served us. This place is much more than a cafe'. The food was superb. We had breakfast, and it was nice to finally find a place to eat where the cook can make a soft scramble egg correctly. The place was a little crowded, but we were seated in less than 5min. We soon discovered why this eatery is so popular. It was our first time so we were given silly King, and Queen hat's to put on, and acknowledged that this was our first time. Went there with a group of friends to celebrate a birthday and was not disappointed. The owner and the wait staff are friendly and fun and even do a little dance for everyone that's goofy and gets the whole restaurant involved. You get to wear a silly hat if you've been there for the first time but it's not just the atmosphere that makes me want to go back. The food was wonderful with generous proportions and imaginative dishes. The owner is British and you get treated to the option of bangers and mash or some corn beef hash. Just tried Annie's for the first time and will definitely be back. The atmosphere is relaxed and the staff is warm and friendly. The decor gives a diners a small feeling of being in the UK. They were busy but we were able to seat a party of five within ten minutes on a Saturday afternoon. I had the BLT with avocado and it was delicious. They do not skimp with the bacon or avocado. The bread was so tasty, one of the best BLTs I've had in awhile. Portions are very generous and presentation of the meals were wonderful. Should have taken pictures but honestly could not wait to eat. Be prepared for a fun time when the servers break out in song and dance. We even causing a glimpse of the kitchen staff busting a move or two during one of their numbers. It is so refreshing to see a restaurant with employees who genuinely look like they like working there. Do yourself a favor and take a break at Annie's Cafe on your next wine tasting trip. Our first time here. They sing a welcome song to you if you tell them you're new. Also have dancing waitresses. No wait on a Sunday morning is unusual. We've driven by other days and there was a line outside. Food was excellent and splittable. Pancakes are very large, fill up a whole plate, but not heavy and doughy. They were light and tasty. The only thing we didn't care for was the sausage. It had a spice we didn't like, but everything else was good. We had breakfast but want to try lunch sometime. The burgers looked amazing. read more

The staff was attentive and genuinely friendly. The owner Annie was there working and talking with customers and you can tell why her staff are the way they are. Annie's has to be my favorite restaurant. When I go there I always order the same thing, the Winston Churchill. It is an English breakfast and it comes with English bacon, bangers, eggs, beans, potatoes (I get them hash brown style), mushrooms and tomatoes. The bangers are great, juicy on the inside with a snap on the outside. The English bacon is nice and flavorful, it taste like it has the perfect amount of salt. I get a side of fried bread which looks like regular toast but by no means is. It is very good. That is probably my favorite meal ever. I was in England a year and a half ago and loved the breakfast over there. Then I come to find out about Annie's by where I live and it is just as great as the breakfast I had when I was over there. Service is good most of the time. The woman who I believe might be Annie, or for sure the owner is friendly and very attentive. One time they didn't cook the bacon to her standards and she apologized to me and had them make me another batch. I didn't complain she saw it as she was bringing out the food and said they cooked it too long. Taste wise the bacon was good but visually not up to her standards so I got to eat two orders of bacon. I recommend this to everyone. When someone visits me this is where I take them. I don't always go there but when I do it is always great. There are three guarantees in life: death, taxes, and that Annie's will always be delicious. read more

This place is great! We stopped by for a late lunch about 30 minutes before their closing time and they were so sweet to us. They got us right in and served us really quickly. We had our kiddos with us and they turned on some loud music to dance with our daughter. We felt like part of the family. What a lovely group of people!! read more

I understand that places have bad days sometimes. The owner, Jan, and I spoke about my previous experience at this location and I was given an option to return. I took her up on that offer, but not before I paid for a meal on my own dime again first. The experiences were much better on my last two visits, reminding me of what I liked about their sister restaurant. The hats, the hourly staff dance (the choreography is impressive on the current "Uptown Funk" song), the British decor both inside and out, and of course, the food. Their breakfast and lunch menus are extensive. I had the Number One (egg, bacon, two pancakes). The pancakes have a classic diner appeal with their large size and delicious fluffiness. I also had a little something called the Cupcake Macchiato, which on a rainy day akin to typical British weather brought a warm, sweet comfort to my taste buds. On my most recent visit I had the Monte Cristo (you can request it deep fried but it is not for the faintest of hearts) but look forward to returning for other menu great looking items--perhaps another full English breakfast (Winston Churchill order) as I'm now assured the plate will be served on par with what I tried at the original location. The waitstaff was attentive and the dining room was filled with patrons on both occasions. I've been a fan of the Lake Elsinore Annie's location, and now after giving them another shot I can say I'll be coming back to this Temecula location. It's a treasured local business with the sweetest of owners. I appreciate Jan's efforts to make sure all of her customers are satisfied and acknowledge what needs to be improved. It was pretty packed on July 4th. The staff is super friendly and like to dance and sing songs it seems. I got the Double Whammy which was decent but it was a little pricey in my opinion. Probably one of the reasons why I typically opt out of eating breakfast outside. $11.49 for two eggs, two bacon slices, two sausages, hash potatoes, and french toast is a bit much. Guess can't really blame them since they get enough volume with those pricing but this isn't for me. The sausages were pretty good to my surprise. The French toast was okay, not the best I had. My friend tried the Country Skillet which unfortunately wasn't good. Ok so eating out during this covid pandemic has been a challenge everywhere I have gone service has been brutally slow. Not at Annie's though! I was instantly greeted and seated with a coffee in hand instantly. Servers were amazing, very prompt and friendly. The owner herself was out waiting tables and taking orders. Being a business owner myself I absolutely loved the fact that she was out and interacting with customers, making sure everyone was satisfied, answering questions, bringing food and drinks out. Decided to go there instead of Richies Diner and I regret it. Ice berg salad was 15.99, I selected crispy chicken and it was way over cooked and cut in huge pieces. My husband got the Philly cheese steak ($16.99) sandwich and the meat was rubbery and looks like the Ralph's brand shaved meat. Amazon Fresh store salad bar is way better and half the price.
