Service is great. Our server, young British guy was very nice and very helpful. Halfway into our meal, the staff broke into square dancing or line dancing which was pretty funny. I had the fish and chips. I was with two others who ordered pancakes. Pancakes were fantastic. Chips needed salt. I wish the fish was crispier on the outside; and the inside was over cooked. This wasn't our first choice for breakfast, every interaction upon arrival though won us over! This area it seemed many locals come out in droves for breakfast and pack the regions establishments, I'm not too picky where I sit so if a counter position was open for a friend of mine and I we were good to go... So what was the first seating that became available? Two seats on the end of the half rectangle counter, perfect! lol The whole place was decked out with Halloween decorations, a waiter had us our soda and water and as we waited to put in our food order my friend said, "Look over your shoulder.", I look and I see a T-Rex costume! Another of the wait staff mentioned in front of me as she noticed my amazement, "Normal, right?!" A number of the staff begin to for a line next to the dino-costume and then Rocky Horror's Time Warp song comes on and they break into dance, hilarious! My friend and I are saying to ourselves what a great place to drop into, by then our order arrives and all looks hearty and delicious. I had the two 5oz. pork chops with hash browns and two eggs over hard, the wheat toast pile was hearty as well. Buddy had the eggs benedict, and we both became quiet as our very hungry tummies were now being looked after. Right about then another line formed that also featured what looked like a father and his two young daughters, this time the music from Thriller came on and more dancing ensued! My sister is visiting from Guam and this was her first breakfast place she went and she loved it so much I had to check it out for myself. I ordered the Annie Special that came with 3 bacon, 2 eggs, hash brown and toast plus a side of French toast. My over easy eggs were kinda almost hard. The hash brown needed to be cooked more and the 3 stars are for the bacon that was cooked perfect. The French toast was too eggy and it was hard. Oh my god, what a fantastic place! I am so sad to live so far away, else this would be my go-to for a big breakfast. We stopped here on our way out of Temecula. Since it's located in a strip mall, parking was super simple. To give some context: it was a Monday morning. The restaurant is seat-yourself (at least on a late Monday morning). We ordered the smothered home fries, some other kind of breakfast that had all the basics, one glass of orange juice, and one glass of grapefruit juice. Everything was GREAT. The breakfast sausage - delicious, the bacon - delicious, the pancakes - delicious, the home fries - delicious, the orange juice - delicious. Service was also great. Haven't been to Annie's in a long time. Last time I was there with guests I was very disappointed. Ordered the fish and chips and it wasn't very good. This came as a surprise to me because the food is always good. This time the fish was flat and greasy. Not what I am used to. Usually it's flaky. I didn't complain because of my guests I didn't want to make them uncomfortable. I plan on going back to give it another try. Hope I'm not sorry I did. This place is great! We stopped by for a late lunch about 30 minutes before their closing time and they were so sweet to us. They got us right in and served us really quickly. Just tried Annie's for the first time and will definitely be back. The atmosphere is relaxed and the staff is warm and friendly. The decor gives a diners a small feeling of being in the UK. They were busy but we were able to seat a party of five within ten minutes on a Saturday afternoon. I had the BLT with avocado and it was delicious. They do not skimp with the bacon or avocado. The bread was so tasty, one of the best BLTs I've had in awhile. Portions are very generous and presentation of the meals were wonderful. Should have taken pictures but honestly could not wait to eat. Be prepared for a fun time when the servers break out in song and dance. We even causing a glimpse of the kitchen staff busting a move or two during one of their numbers. It is so refreshing to see a restaurant with employees who genuinely look like they like working there. Do yourself a favor and take a break at Annie's Cafe on your next wine tasting trip. If it wasn't for Oscar letting our server know that we were still waiting to get noticed we would have left. Came here after reading a previous review from today and I am glad i did. Just a charming friendly place with good tasty comforting food- perfect for New Year's day! The staff was attentive and genuinely friendly. The owner Annie was there working and talking with customers and you can tell why her staff are the way they are. It was pretty packed on July 4th. The staff is super friendly and like to dance and sing songs it seems. I got the Double Whammy which was decent but it was a little pricey in my opinion. Probably one of the reasons why I typically opt out of eating breakfast outside. $11.49 for two eggs, two bacon slices, two sausages, hash potatoes, and french toast is a bit much. Guess can't really blame them since they get enough volume with those pricing but this isn't for me. The sausages were pretty good to my surprise. The French toast was okay, not the best I had. My friend tried the Country Skillet which unfortunately wasn't good. My family and I were visiting some of our relatives in Murrieta, and on our last morning with them they took us to Annie's Cafe. At first glance, it seems like a normal British-American breakfast place...even though, British-American is new to me. But throughout our dining experience, so many quirky and unique attributes came to light. For one, as first timers - we all were given these goofy hats to wear during our meal. I had to take mine off, otherwise the Flamingo would have eaten my breakfast for me. BUT we were told if we were caught not wearing them, we would have to dance. That brings me to quirky and unique attribute #2 - a lot of dancing. In the hour or so that we were there, we witnessed not 1, not 2, but 3 different dances being performed. Shake it Off! by Taylor Swift, Gangnam Style - Psy, and the frikken Macarena. The waiters perform but so do customers! Beware. It was great to have this kind of entertainment while I was still waking up. Not to mention, the food was absolutely delicious. I ordered the double play! Which addresses all basic food groups. Most breakfast places give you the option of bacon or sausage...this joint lets you have both. Plus your sweet carb (pancakes, french toast, or a waffle) and two eggs any style - only $8.99. Man I love this place for breakfast! It is now my favorite place for breakfast! This was my first time visiting this Annie's location, and it is even better than the Lake Elsinore location I have visited a number of times! Much like the Elsinore location the food is excellent and has a very reasonable price. I had the corned beef hash with 2 eggs, hash browns, and sour dough toast. It was some of the best corned beef hash I ever had. My wife got Annie's Super Special which included 2 eggs, 2 sausage, hash brows and toast/biscuit. Both meals were very good! My kids got french toast and pancakes, which was also very tasty! Annie's breakfast is just simply good eats all the way around! Now what makes this location better that the Lake Elsinore location (which I also gave a 5 star review) is the decor is nicer, as is the booth seating, and the staff is more fun. The staff was all not only friendly but they were all into the dancing and fun atmosphere that Annie's is all about. I say you should come to Annie's for the food, but stay around and also enjoy the entertainment! What a fun place!
