country-fried steak

annie's cafe is kinda like a dennys/ihop, but so much better. got there on a sunday around 1pm, wait was only 20 minutes for four people. they do send a text when your table is ready but make sure to check within the wait time given because sometimes their texts don't go through. service was great, attentive & friendly. food was good, they serve a breakfast & lunch menu. lots of options to choose from! i got the annie super special & i was able to do one of each (bacon / sausage) so ask for that if you don't know which one you want more. my boyfriend got the country fried steak with hashbrowns & eggs. both were comforting & delicious breakfast. it wasnt too crowded or loud for a diner. would definitely come back to try their other popular items like the hawaiian french toast next time.

I've been to this café several times and every time I've had really great service. The food is pretty good, I'm big on breakfast so that's usually all I get here. I've tried the chilaquiles, corned beef hash, and their specialty French toast. All of which were very delicious and filling. The restaurant is spacious but also gives off a cozy vibe. Definitely one to try out whenever you're in town or you're a local with a hankering for a good breakfast.

Annie's Cafe local restaurant in Temecula. This is my first time to this location. We received fast friendly service here. They even had live entertainment where they played music and staff started dancing. The food here was delicious. I ordered the fish and chips that came with steak fries and coleslaw.

I wanted to add a follow up review for Annie's because my experiences here just keep me great. The food is so YUM. The chill British atmosphere is nostalgic and the servers are among the best in town. I'll keep coming to Annie's for as long as they'll have me. If you haven't tried, please do! Eat local, not big box. Go to Annie's!

I felt that the food was pretty average breakfast food. If you are a big breakfast person then I think you'd enjoy going there. The service was great and we were consistently checked on. It was very quaint in side and the decor was cute.

A few more visits later, everything is still amazing. Ordered the chilaquiles with carnitas. Carnitas were piled high and were super tender and flavorful. Wendy was our server and took great care of us. Later, Mimi took over when Wendy was off for the day and service was still spot on. A constant flow of guests throughout our visit came in keeping the place busy on a Saturday afternoon. Keep on Yelp'n!

Went in for brunch and ordered my usual, the avocado toast with fried eggs on top. It's a simple dish, always satisfying and filling. I like to pair it with their homemade green chile and salsa, it's such a great combo. If you're craving breakfast or brunch, this place should be on your list. Cozy vibes, great food, and consistent quality. I'm already looking forward to my next visit! Yelp ya later!

Let's just start with Dottie and Rose. Amazing servers with the right attitude, get the right food out, be pleasant, and give the customer a good experience so they will come back. A dying art but they are keeping it alive at Annie's in Temecula. Let's talk food. We ordered one meal to share, and good thing we did. I ordered corned beef hash and eggs. It came out perfect! Light crisp on the exterior of the hash, and hash browns crisp as I ordered them. Oops almost forgot, the music was 70's-80's and set the happy tone for our meal. If you come here and it's not too busy, ask for the 'cuddle corner' we sat there and cuddled while eating! A++

Been coming here couple times and love all their breakfast. I never had frenchtoast with bawain bread and look at the portion is humongous. The staff super friendly and helpful. I love the dance they have - I don't know what is the occasion but its so fun and joyful.

Stopped for breakfast here. Food is great and service too. We have eaten at the lake Elsinore and it's just a good. We like the British look, we have a son in England so we visit there and we compare to American version of their food.

We were in town for a mini vacation and wanted to try Annie's Cafe, based on the reviews and the location. Sitting right off of the freeway in Temecula, it's easy to find and get to, although you may miss the turnout if you're not paying attention on Jefferson. There are a few British photo-op props you can take pictures with while waiting to be seated, or even afterwards. They also have a small merchandise area, in case you wanted a small souvenir. Gratuity is automatically included for larger groups. The knight's armor display between the bathrooms is pretty cool. We arrived bright and early around 730 on a Saturday, and it filled up very quickly. While I'm not sure if it's a weekend special or a daily special, there was a chalkboard out in front highlighting a $12.99 steak and eggs special before 9AM. AMAZING deal to start the day. The steak is cooked to order, and you have a few options to choose from, and they're decent options....not cheap menu fillers. Probably why it filled up so quickly. Service is fast and friendly, and for larger groups, there are small table extenders that connect two together - great as a space-saver for fixed booths and tables. Boysenberry syrup is available for you pancake, waffle and french toast lovers! The waffle itself was huge, and the french toast was just as hefty. I didn't realize the portion size and ended up taking most of my toast to go. They have plenty of Smuckers jams, jellies and syrup to chose from - great for the to-go orders. The food is good, comes out very fast and will fill you up...also probably the main reason why the restaurant filled up so quickly. While there may be quite a few options nearby for breakfast and brunch, you won't be disappointed with the fluffy french toast, waffles, pancakes and the savory food.

Came in to have lunch with my friends and it was a cute diner spot. Our server was nice and explained the menu if we had any questions. They also had a moment where the servers sang and dance. The food was good! Def a lot so i recommend sharing as my friends and I underestimated how much we could eat.

It's been years since I've been here, but for the exception of the prices increasing, the food quality and staff remains excellent. Awesome music playing in the background and waiters are very attentive and helpful.

Is the place pet friendly?

no, the waitress is not nice for my pet

Do they offer anything without wheat flour? any gluten-free options?

We sure do Kim! We offer gluten free pancakes, waffles, French toast, and regular bread for our sandwiches. It never hurts to let your server know if there is an allergy so we can take extra care when we prepare the dish.

We came here because of the good reviews on Yelp, so I thought I would add my own to the menagerie! They were able to seat us on a Friday morning right away and I believe this is because they also have a lovely heated, outdoor seating area. We were very comfortable and happy to enjoy the ambiance outside. I had to try their rose matcha and I was so very pleased with both the presentation and taste. It looked and tasted special, especially with the dried rose garnish. Another unique menu item was the Reuben Benedict. Corned beef is a very big favorite of mine, as is hollandaise sauce and a poached egg. All of it came together beautifully and really deliciously too. The choice of cheese was a very good accompaniment. I got the Parmesan potatoes and they were really tasty too, I did add my own salt, but that was fine because all the other tastes and textures were on point! A special breakfast that was worth a couple extra dollars! For me it's either diner food for breakfast or a special brunch and this fell into the special brunch category and they did a wonderful job. Hope if you're reading this today you have a lovely day

We spent the night in the area and decided to grab some breakfast after check out. I looked up a few places on Yelp and decided on this place. Parking was a piece of cake since it's in a shopping plaza, so we had zero issues finding one. Once we walked up to the door, we were greeted by the hosted who was set up outside. She grabbed menus and quickly seated us inside. The menu is a bit overwhelming, but everyone made their decisions and I went with the shrimp & grits. That was probably one of the best shrimp & grits meals that I've had in a long time and everyone else's meals looked amazing. The kids had eggs bacon, sausage and hashbrowns. My wife had the French toast and my mom had a ham & cheese omelette. There were zero complaints and the service was great. If you like shrimp & grits I highly recommend ordering it. Our server Andy--who is also the manager--took amazing care of us from start to finish. The service was friendly, attentive, and perfectly timed. Andy recommended the sausages as an appetizer, and let me tell you... we're still talking about how delicious they were. And the BBQ was even better: the brisket and burnt ends were incredibly tender--soft and practically falling apart, with tons of flavor. I ordered the 2-meat combo platter with brisket and pork ribs, plus mac and cheese and beans. Unfortunately, the food was pretty underwhelming for the price. The brisket arrived dry and slightly oxidized-looking, with only two slices included. The ribs were overdone and mostly from the cartilage-heavy end of the rack. Flavor overall was decent, but nowhere near memorable. The mac and cheese was bland, the beans were okay, and even the pickles had an odd chemical taste to them. The service was genuinely great, which was the highlight of the experience, but at around $48 for the combo plate, the food quality just didn't justify the cost. For comparison, Heritage BBQ in San Juan Capistrano is in an entirely different league when it comes to quality and execution. This place felt much more geared toward tourists than serious BBQ fans.
