Treated me poorly because I am a Latina that doesn't speak/ understand Spanish. The front lady led me to the back where majority of the Hispanic women are to get my nails done. Every time I would speak English they had an attitude but they were able to communicate effectively with a white woman. I couldn't believe it. I left feeling so disappointed because I was having a stressful day and wanted to treat myself by getting my nails done. Awful experience and a very rude, bully high school atmosphere in this salon. Although I do not fully understand/ speak Spanish, I was able to make out little things they were saying such as the color I chose was horrible, I am difficult because of the language barrier and I'm sure more was said. I don't want to post a photo outta embarrassment for the work. My nails chipped within a couple days, and my cuticles are atrocious. I was charged $16 for a regular manicure, without tip included. My nail tech was very nice. However the salon is charging 50.00 for a basic gel pedicure in an overcrowded in need of a facelift salon. The pedicure did not include callous remover or even a five minute massage. I have been to this salon several times in the past and they must have recently increased their prices. The main reason I picked this place is proximity to my job. The experience for fifty dollars not worth it all. For twenty more dollars I can sit in a posh salon in manhattan and have a decent foot massage and a bottle of water. I tipped my tech more than 20% because she was nice but I'll never go there again. I was in a rush to get a pedicure so I ran into this spot and I don't think I'll be back. I guess if you're in a pinch and just need to do something basic it's okay but the lack of cleanliness was a bit of a problem for me. The place is really tight (which is to be expected in queens) but I don't feel that the staff take the proper precautions to be sanitary. The person that did my pedicure didn't wear gloves and I really don't think she used clean tools. My pedicure smudged the second I left the salon even thought I was told I was good to go. This has been my go to nail salon for years. I have recently moved into Manhattan and I travel back to Forest Hills every two weeks to get my nails done here...they're that good. I originally started coming here because I wanted a place that could do designs on my nails and they said they had someone who could. Ever since that first appointment (I see Esther, but everyone there is excellent), I have been hooked. I get the UV gel on my nails which allow them to be long without breaking. Also creates a larger surface for the beautiful designs that they give me. I seriously question the bad reviews on here because I have been coming here twice a month for years and have never had a bad experience. Because of the nature of my manicures they take a little longer than a regular one, so I get to observe what goes on in the store. I have never seen any of the ladies that work there being rude to anyone and it's usually the other way around; customers or people who walk in are rude to the employees. Yes they may ask you to wait if you don't have an appointment because they are usually busy...I make my appointment weeks in advance...it's like a good restaurant, if you don't want to wait make a reservation! Don't get angry because you decided to just walk in. I usually get manicures but when I do treat myself to a pedicure I am never disappointed. They take their time and leave your feet smooth, clean and beautifully painted. I recently had a pedicure with Grace and my color lasted me five days at the beach and a full week later it still looks perfect. They have one of the largest selection of colors I have ever seen and even have the "fun" stuff like tons of sparkles and neons. I live in the city and won't go anywhere else besides this place. Everyone who works there is fantastic, their color choices are amazing, its super clean and comfortable and if you make an appointment you won't have to wait. A good place for a fast and convenient nail service. I went for a pedicure and was taken right away. They had the typical polish selection and the workers were pleasant. It is a busy salon and very efficient with numerous technicians - great if you don't have a lot of time to spare, but don't expect the little extras here. The pedicure I had was fine - no foot massage or much past the cuticle cleaning, a very brief exfoliation and nail polish. It is on the pricey side for standard services ($27 for a regular pedicure), but I'm sure the rent on Austin street is quite high. read more

I visited this nail salon last month and asked for a gel & acrylic nail set with a stiletto shape. The nail technician gave me an almond shape and made my nails shorter than I asked for. The total I paid was $140 + tip. Then when I returned to remove my tips, the same lady that did my pedicure charged me $15 instead of the regular price listed ($10) a week ago. I've gone there about a dozen times I am usually seen right away. The longest I've waited is maybe 10 minutes. I typically go on Sundays. The pedicurists are efficient and accommodating. I have smudged my polish on the way to the manicure table and both times it was repaired with a smile. I usually get acrylic wrap and reg paint on my nails. People ask if they are my real nails. It's a busy place and time managing all these Karen's in the comments can be difficult. Came in for a 9:30am appointment and Tina was late by 30min but another lady took care of me while I waited for Tina. They have a wide selection of powder nail colors. I went with a natural shade. Tina was really gentle and careful with my nails. I previously had on tips but she said I didn't need it this time. I told her my nails are really sensitive and that I didn't want my cuticles cut, although she suggested twice she didn't push for them to get cut. I love how evenly she painted my nails and how all the shapes were even which is a huge plus. Overall I would come back despite Tina being late since she did a wonderful job. She also suggested that I shouldn't get my nails done every two weeks and should get them done every three weeks since my nails are thin. read more

I have been coming here for a few years and their service has declined. It has declined so much that I will not be going here anymore. This place is not clean. They do NOT clean the tubs in between pedicures and when they do it's just a quick wipe using a dish sponge. The same dish sponges that you will find on the floor or tucked beneath the pedicure chairs to re-use. For my pedicure I requested a plastic wrapping to be placed in the pedicure tub for hygienic purposes and I was quickly told they did not have anymore ... once I then refused the pedicure ... miraculously they found a plastic wrapping. RED FLAG. I am so upset with their services and how they lack the knowledge on the importance of infection control and cleanliness ... I am someone in the medical field and I WILL be calling he department of health to visit this location. They do not update their nail polishes. It's still the same old colors from when I first arrived as their customer in 2014. If you made an appointment .. don't bother. You'll still be waiting. I don't mind paying a good amount of money for nails, but I do have a problem when they're done wrong. The ladies rush and don't speak English very well. I got manicure and pedicure and the lady got my sneakers and put them away. I forgot to take them with me and when I came back a couple of days later to get them, they said they threw them out. They didn't even apologize and they were my favorite nike sneakers. I highly recommend to go somewhere else. These ladies were not kind not helpful.
