We've lived in the area for a while and though devoted to numerous shops Downtown, were never quite able to figure in a visit to Annata. All that has changed over the past year and a half. Despite the countless challenges of the pandemic and 2020 on the hospitality industry - Annata was one of the many spots we were very happy to support via their curbside options. As terms and guidelines were adjusted, we started visiting once a month with friends who were also eager to get out and about, while trying to keep to local shops. Annata has become our monthly spot, we've been for both lunch and dinner - equally enjoyed by us and our friends who attended. Between the diverse meal options and the countless wines (both local and international) as well as the mixed drinks selections, it's a pretty complete evening for any occasion. The service is always prompt, polite and welcoming - which, after this past year, is an enchanting aspect of any restaurant visit. We stopped by this place on a Thursday night when they had some live music going- Very cool ambiance and good vibes. The menu is very geared towards sharing, almost like tapas with slight bigger portions. Here's what we tried: -Gnocchi- if you come to Annata and don't order the gnocchi, you're wrong. End of story. These pillows of goodness were so light, so airy, they just melted in your mouth. One side is tossed in an herbaceous nutty sage brown butter sauce, the other side swims in tomato bisque. A knockout of a dish, seriously. -Annata egg rolls: This was a nice Italian riff on an egg roll- stuffed with sausage, eggplant, arugula and a gooey center of fontina cheese. These come in a bath of tomato soup which surprisingly works as a dipping sauce. -Filet mignon sliders- I found these very dry and lacking flavor. Although it sounds fancy, filet really isn't an ideal cut for a burger and this is exactly why. Skip these, you can find a better burger/slider literally anywhere else. -Special: Burrata with vanilla apricot sauce- although it was a special and you may likely never eat this, Holy cow was it good! The burrata was creamy and light, a perfect compliment to the not overly sweet sauce. Slather this all over a toast point and man was it heaven in your mouth. -Ahi tuna- This was not the best quality tuna I've ever seen, it was not all that fresh and that flavor just sort of permeated the whole dish. The sautéed arugula was really nice, like a warm salad almost, but the tuna on top really killed it. Overall the dishes were hit or miss, but very cool place to hang out at. I might not go out of my way again, but I f you find yourself here, order the gnocchi. read more

We have absolutely fallen in love with this Tuscany style wine bar restaurant. Starting with the host to the servers excellent interaction we love this restaurant. The wine list is comprehensive and reasonably priced. Our app: roasted oysters.. terrifically prepared and scrumptious. Pan seared Chilean Sea Bass was perfect portion enhanced with a delightful sauce. The gnocchi was bite sized, delivered in separate blush and white sauces: absolutely fantastic ! And don't pass on the whipped sweet potatoes.. so smooth. Btw , we chose Opus French Syrah Grenache blend ... very nice indeed ! ... definitely 5 star worthy, can't wait until our next visit ! read more

Beautiful atmosphere and friendly staff. Party of 14 for a 60th birthday celebration. Seated at 5:30 pm reservation and mostly empty. Drinks served promptly, appetizers over an hour later and left at 7:40 pm due to watching every other table served while we waited, waited and waited over an hour and a half after ordering. Finally began bringing plates of mediocre food at best and we left. Would never recommend and never return. Ruined our celebration. I'd give a 0 star if the option was available. read more

We recently went here for our anniversary dinner. We ate on their new patio. The atmosphere was great. The service was okay. The entrees were fantastic. Negatives. Cheese Tray was WAY over priced. Nothing was explained to us on the tray since it seems to change along with the market pricing. We paid $18 for what seemed like 2 piles of Kraft cheese (most of which had been solidified by being exposed to air in the fridge), 6 slices on pepperoni, 6 slices of salami, and a mash of olives. Drinks were all $12 which was so over priced and honestly I didn't like either drink my self or my husband ordered. I looked over the wine list. There were mainly local wineries to chose from. Most of these bottles I could purchase for $12ish at our local discount Liquor store. I understand a mark up, but they were selling these same bottles for $30+. That's a huge mark up! Dessert options were limited. We chose the creme brulee cheese cake. It tasted very processed. Also, we found wax paper stuck to the bottom of it. We however loved our entrees. We went to Annata's for a birthday lunch and celebration. It was 4 adults. This was our first visit but not our last. Everything about this place was relaxing, enjoyable and delicious. Everyone was happy with their meals. I had the Caesar Salad with a crab cake. I am from Maryland and have been eating the finest crab cakes since I was a child. Annata you stole the trophy from my favorite crab cakes, my own. The service was good. I look forward to making the trip back. read more

Convenient location on the main strip in Hammonton, there always seems to be plenty of street parking close by. The atmosphere in this place is great, live music some nights and the most comfortable lounge chairs to sit in while you dine. The menu is unique and most dishes are pretty good. The portions are huge but they give you an option for smaller, cheaper portions. We generally order the full size entrees and share or have something to bring home for lunch the next day. The place is suitable for a romantic date, a get together for larger groups, or a business dinner. read more

So we were told about the martinis but they forget to mention the delicious food. The martinis are really good. Not too strong and a nice variety. Chocolate Banana and espresso were on our order. They feature a wine assortment of local wines if you are familiar with Jersey Wines. They also have a nice selection of California, Oregon, and international wines as well. The food was exceptional!! Gnocchis were so light and flavorful. The butter sage left the comfort that a great gnocchi has. Also we shared some pot stickers. The sauce wasn't too spicy and wasn't over done. It has been a long six months Covid et al. went to Anata. Been there before, and it was nice. Tonight I kicked myself. Why haven't I popped in in the last six months? The wife made a reservation and we strolled town prior. Nice area. Anyway, details: Service: Outstanding Food: Had a wide variety--Oysters, clams, and Italian entrees. Everything was excellent. I mean relly good, and pricing was reasonable. Eggplant-10. Cavatelli-10. You get the drift. Excellent wine menu. Entertainment: Great, great acoustic act. Loved it. On a beautiful, sunny yet freezing cold afternoon, this was a great place to check out. Was definitely quiet inside, maybe a table or two sat, no noticeable music playing (and there should always be something playing..). Bartenders were friendly. There were three spots to dine in these 'coves', which is always a cute option, a little more privacy. The bar itself could use a small makeover, get organized, less cluttered. I went with a glass (or two) of Chardonnay (Foggy Oaks). Full flavored, crisp, delicious. $8 bucks was reasonable and the pours were heavy. We ordered a couple of different choices on the tapas menu: Cheese plate- it was fine..but seriously up your game please. The presentation was something I wouldn't even do for a friend's house invite, and the variety- boring. Manchego was one, and the other two were so similar but with a dry rub. Why not a goat! Or brie! Or triple creme?! Throw a little fun in there please. (Yes, I can be a cheese snob.) Also, there should always be some type of vehicle to eat said cheese. I found it odd when you asked if we wanted crackers, instead of just giving them to us, or even some sliced bread. Oysters- these stole the show and make me want to come back. Recommended by the bartender and excellent choice. They came out hot, topped with this slightly creamy, spinach, garlic, diced tomato mixture and were perfectly seasoned. Lamb lollipops- (3)chops beautifully cooked with just the right hint of rosemary, served standing up, leaning against a delicious mound of whipped potatoes. All in all, a little pricey, $80 and that's without tip, so it's not something I want to dine every weekend. I'm curious to taste more and see it a little more lively. read more

Very nice atmosphere. Tables spaced nicely to allow for conversation. Cushioned chairs were almost too deep and comfortable. Better suited to a cocktail lounge than dining. Food was very good and service - both busboy and waitress - was excellent. Would have given five stars but as we were sitting and chatting after coffee the hostess came over and told us they needed the table for another reservation so we had to leave. We had a reservation for 7:45 and at 8:30 having watched them seat an 11 and put together a big party who everyone I the party not there we were still waiting only to be told they were dropping the check on the table that was supposed to be ours. We have all worked in the restaurant industry and can appreciate and understand a busy Saturday night but if you cannot accommodate a 4 top don't take the reservation we are also not locals and drive from the Shore area to eat here. We enjoyed our dinner at Annata! We were seated out front so we didn't worry about social distancing. We started with a delicious burrata and tomato app. Drinks were delivered promptly. The last time I came here the food was pretty good. I don't leave a review until I have been to a place 2 or 3 times to give the benefit of off days from the kitchen, etc. This time, not so much- subpar. Got the ahi tuna that tasted watery like it wasn't thawed out enough before service. The gnocchis were good. Eggplant tower was kinda soggy and the sea bass was ok. The waitress was very kind and accompanying. Staff was top notch. I feel what is being charged for the food doesn't match the value. Quality needs to improve. read more

It's a beautiful bar/restaurant and the environment is very romantic. I definitely recommend it for a date or a get together. The food was delicious, I had the lobster Mac and cheese and the small portions is not small at all!!!! They also have good selection of wine. Just have reservation before you get there because they are busy and do not seat at there high tops because I kept banging into the wine bottles they had hanging on the walls. My family and I went to dinner there last night. I called ahead and asked if reservations were required. I should have known by the way the woman on the phone spoke that it wasn't going to be good. Idk who this woman is but she should not be the person answering the phone. First impression is everything. Well anyway, I made a reservation and showed up on time only to be told we were going to be seated outside. I wasn't told my reservation was for outside. We had 2 children with us and i was late and chilly. When I told the woman I wasn't informed that it would be outside, she was rude. She looked around and there clearly a table available wi the green chairs, but oh no where does she put us..... Right behind the check in stand at this little dinky table that squeaked when we moved. Now the other table was bigger and still open. We had 5 people (3 adults and 2 children) and then 3 people came in and were seated at the table with green chairs. We live in Hammonton and enjoy going to our local Establishments to support them during this time. Our waitress was amazing!!!! Never had to ask for anything. She was on top of everything. Food is always delicious here but just the the tone and the way I was talked to left a bad taste in my mouth. My husband said he doesn't want to go back after last night. read more

My wife and I went here on a friend's suggestion and it didn't disappoint at all. I think we found our new go to spot. The staff from the host to our waitress were gracious and accommodating. I will get straight to the point.....GET THE GNOCCHI!! They were like fluffy airy pillows from heaven and a great sized plate for $13....best choice of the night. I'm going to make this even more simple: 1) Had the smoked Oysters with Goat cheese and bacon special....DELICIOUS 2) Had the Annata Egg Roll...excellent 3) Had the Ribeye Meatball...great. 4) and like I said....the Gnocchi were made by God himself!! we are frequent patrons of annata's but tonight we have really nothing good to say. we made a reservation at the last minute but did get a table....when we were seated we asked for another table because it was in complete sun, doors wide open and flies everywhere. we were told all the other tables were reserved we went at 5 pm we left at 615 the reserved tables were still open!!! A random couple came in without a reservation the hostess did not turn them away but seated them in a supposed reserved area which we had asked to be seated in and we were told they were reserved . Clearly management needs some work and maybe some proper attire for the hostess. read more

Visited later in the evening, 10pm on a Friday. The kitchen closes around that time, so we got our food order in just in time...whew! The front dining room is spacious. The Annata vineyard salad was amazing...along with the Tuscan potatoes. Wine-poached pears and delicious raspberry vinaigrette Potatoes were tender and seasoned well. Large portions. Yum. Martinis and wine were great. There was live music going on in the back room of the restaurant, and it was extremely LOUD. I can't believe we waited this king to try this great spot! Having driven by countless times on the way to the Jersey Shore we always said, "that looks like a cool place to eat". Finally we had the opportunity to give Annata a try. We made last minute reservations on a Friday night and were promptly greeted upon arrival. It is a fairly spacious restaurant so we didn't mind grabbing a glass of wine while we waited for our table to be prepared. This is a Wine Bar by name and it didn't disappoint. I was pleased with the selections of wine by the glass and the prices were very reasonable. Our meal was outstanding. We ordered a few small plates for the table to share and then mains for dinner. The gnocchi was some of the best I've had in years. Light and flavorful. We ordered the burrata and tomato as well. The tomatoes were crispy fried and a little spicy, excellent. In addition, we ordered sausage egg rolls and a meat and cheese board. I would eat all of these again in a heartbeat. Many distinct and fresh flavors. As an entree I had the hangar steak with a hash of sorts. This was outstanding and tender. There were a lot of nice wine choices even for an intermediate wine snob. I ordered a bottle of the Nebbiolo and added a glass of one of my favorite Riojas that is actually very hard to find. Prices were $34 for the bottle and $11 for the glass, by all standards inexpensive vs quality. Dessert was a creme brûlée cheesecake and cappuccino. All in all, we really were impressed with the food and atmosphere here and can't wait to return. Certainly give it a try! read more

This place has so much potential, but falls short of a top notch wine bar by not being able to deliver an expected ambiance. While the dinner crowd demands the best of behavior and service, the later hours are left to staff that talk loudly and inappropriately about sexual exploits, combining multiple vulgar words to form incoherent sentences, and lowering the standards of excellence down to a dive bar. I was here with my girlfriend last night and upon leave the bartender apologized for "late night antics" when I was paying the bill, even though I didn't say a word. This indicates that staff is fully aware of their actions and I can only recommend to the establishment to properly train your employees and set a code of ethics for their behavior. read more

This is, hands down, the best Italian food in our area. Growing up, I was spoiled with home-cooked and made-from-scratch Italian meals. I've always been hesitant to eat Italian out, but not after discovering Annata Wine Bar. My fiancée and I have been 3 times now, and we have had phenomenal meals each time. I've had the butternut squash gnocchi (this was a special), the regular gnocchi's, and the Vitello Annata. I wish the butternut squash gnocchis were on their regular menu! In addition to the top notch food, Annata Wine Bar has a friendly staff and an upscale but comfortable atmosphere. Our most recent waitress (I can't remember her name) was very knowledgeable about the wine list, and she helped my fiancée find the exact wine she had enjoyed the previous time we were there. Just once in a while, you get to dress up and take in a fine dinner and a show Right? But Hammonton New Jersey? When I was growing up in South Jersey, Hammonton was the Italian Capital of the area. Known for their rich history, parades and of course Blueberries. In the last few years, downtown Hammonton has been going through a Renaissance of sorts. Once destined to deteriorate away, now is a hub of fabulous eateries and shops and local theater. The stand out is the Annata Wine Bar. Annata, which translates from Italian to English to mean 'Vintage Year' Nestled in an old store front, Annata Wine Bar offers a comfortable atmosphere where guests are welcome to enjoy one of the extensive wines offered by the glass, bottle paired perfectly with a selection from their Italian-inspired tapas menu. We were greeted at the hostess stand by a beautiful and pleasant woman who was the co-owner with her brother the head chief. (Oh did I say reservation are recommended.) We were taken to our table with comfy "lounge-style seating" conducive to a relaxed wine-soaked conversation. Being our first time there, were given the "rundown" on the how the evening would progress. Our server Dawn explained the process to us and the night began. I immediately noticed that the dining room began to fill up and that is because one can come here to this intimate, upscale enoteca where "knowledgeable" servers pour a vast selection of local, Californian and Oregonian bottles that can be paired with wonderfully sophisticated snacks. If you are not of the wine crowd, they also offer signature martinis, artisan scotches and imported beer selections. I of course choose a Bombay Sapphire Gin Martini a little dirty with two blue cheese stuffed olives. We began our dinner with a cheese platter that consisted of strawberry cheddar and anther cheese paired with delectable dried meats. That coupled with the fresh roasted peppers and green olives, which should have been our meal. The menu offers an array of delectable dishes. They offer the smaller portions or the full size, we choose the latter so we could sample three dishes. We selected the Chilean sea bass basilica filets in a white wine, tomato and basil broth. $12, a duo of house made potato gnocchi in a sage brown butter sauce with house made spinach and ricotta gnocchi in a creamy tomato basil sauce $10 and one special which was veal scaloppini with a rich wine sauce. These coupled with an Oregonian pinot noir were a perfect match. At no time were we rushed or bothered by Dawn our server who was just perfect for the atmosphere. We just relaxed and enjoyed the night. What can one say about a wonderful dining experience except that if you are in the area, this Wine Bar is a must and will be the destination where we will bring a special guest. read more

Boyfriend and I were pleasantly surprised by Annata. After an incredible meal at El Mariachi Loco down the street (see my review!), we decided to check out Hammonton's wine bar. I expected us to be out in about 20 minutes, but we ended up really enjoying our time here. Typically, there's a lot of pretention going on in Hammonton. You walk in a place, you get judged 15 times by the time you reach your table. I expected to get that vibe at Annata, but it just wasn't there. We headed to the bar and took in the gorgeous surroundings and dim mood lighting. It is quite lovely inside: built-in wine racks line the walls, filled with some of the 163 different types of wine they offer. There is table seating, bar seating, and a couple of 2-tops nestled into nooks of the bar. These seats were my favorite- they actually look like you're sitting in a wine cellar. It was packed on our visit, at around 8:30. Not an empty table, and almost no empty seats at the bar. We were promptly greeted and given menus. I can't remember the bartender's name, but she was very knowledgeable and offered suggestions. She kept an eye on our glasses throughout the night, offered a food menu, and was just generally pleasant througout the experience. Another bartender, I think she said her name was Lisa, checked on us a couple of times as well. She was just as pleasant. The wine list was humongous. Boyfriend made a beeline for the reds, and I stayed where I am better acquainted (champagne.) They also have a cocktail list, and many of them sounded very good. I was a little disappointed that my first glass of champagne was basically flat. It had bubbles upon pouring, but none when I took a sip. I drank it anyway, because it's still champagne and it's still delicious and unless something is just abhorrently unacceptable, I hate sending things back. The issue was remedied by the second glass. Boyfriend very much enjoyed his wine, though I have no idea which one he chose. One thing about Annata really stood out to me, and sealed the deal that we will definitely be coming back. Boyfriend's younger brother stopped by with his girlfriend for about 20 minutes. Neither of them are 21. They both sat at the bar. The bartender could tell they were not going to order any alcohol, so she offered them water or soda. Because they weren't staying long, they declined. The bartender was more than gracious and generous in letting them sit for a few minutes despite the fact that she knew she wouldn't be making a tip off of them. I felt it was a very classy move on her part. Had there actually been other patrons looking to sit there and place an order, I'm sure the result would have been different, which is fine. But the way the situation was handled was very impressive and made me feel very good about coming back here again. From what I experienced, this is an excellent business in Hammonton. They have jazz music on Thursdays, and an acoustic duo on Fridays. We will definitely return and try some of their tapas! read more

I've been here twice, the first time with 5 other people, and the second with 2 other people. Both times I'd say it was ok. The last time I went, I went with 2 people who I consider "wine snobs." Snob 1 felt the wine selection was great and very pleased with the selection, which included wines from all over and also some locals. I was expecting she'd be more critical about the selection, but surprisingly she ordered her wine and was very happy. Snob 2 was harder to please, but I believe it was because she wanted a Zinfandel they ran out of and then put the poor waitress through the wringer with 3 different tastings and ended up drinking something she normally doesn't like. I ordered a pomegranate martini and it was A+ (I actually ordered 2- was made perfect and not weak at all). So we ordered - I ordered the pear salad, cheesesteak eggroll, and the Nona's risotto with a side of braciole. The other gals ordered a cheese plate, a veal dish, eggplant tower, and a fish (I believe it was Chilean sea bass, not sure though.) -- WAY too much food BTW for 3 girls. Anyway, the pear salad was delicious, the eggroll was pretty good, the Nona's risotta was covered in marinara and the braciole was dry even with the marinara. I was disappointed because I was very excited to get braciole and sad when it was dry. I tasted the veal, that was good, and my other girlfriend's fish was sitting in a bowl of broth, which she wasn't thrilled about, but I think she thought it was ok. I wish there was an ability to give a half star rating.. Overall this Wine Bar had some good wines, but mostly a selection of "eh" wines. The food comes in bigger and smaller Tapas portions... I would say their Tapas have an Italian influence in them... You probably won't find something like squid and chorizo meatballs here. The service was mostly a hit, but there were a few misses. The Food had great aspirations... and could have made them reality if they had taken a little more time and if the chef had a little more delicacy in his flavors (loads of fresh garlic on sauteed spinach is not considered BALANCED) The decor: Annata Wine Bar is about the most sophisticated thing you will find in Hammonton... I was surprised to find this place while cycling from Cherry Hill (approx. 30 miles). Being sweaty, smelly and very underdressed, I walked into the restaurant hoping for a table outside. To my surprise, I noticed a great jazz band in the corner of the restaurant and the place was actually quite busy on a Thursday night. I stood for awhile taking in the cozy, tasteful decor (dark hardwood floors, huge cushioned seats).. i never did see the "warehouse-like back room though..) SERVICE Decor and atmosphere aside, I became a bit less enamored with the place when the server was somewhat rude when I asked to be seated, "She (pointing at the real hostess) will seat you." and walked off. I figured this might happen because of the way I was dressed (in cycling shorts and T-shirt complete with riding gloves)... but i really hoped it wouldn't (MINUS A STAR here - SNOBBERY is never a good thing) The Hostess, who heard the conversation looked up and continued to reorganize the seating for possibly a larger party that was on their way, but within 5 mins came to me and seated me outside as I requested (she looked relieved) Our server, was a happy, sweet girl. She explained the portion sizes FOOD and WINE As I looked through the menu, I noticed a good representation of a variety of wines, however, I was a bit disappointed to see some of the wines that make the Olive Garden variety but gave them the excuse that there are many people out there who love those wines. I, personally, was looking for a pinot noir from Willamette County, Oregon (known for their wine in general.. but their pinots are GREAT), but I didnt find any.. I opted for a Malbec instead. The entrees varied in size from larger and smaller Tapas. The tapas here are definitely Italian influenced (ie. risotto instead of tortilla) and not a huge representation of the Spanish influence. I got the roast beef (End pieces.. i like mine medium well to well.. but this tasted more like a piece that was burned onto the grill... i didn't seem previously roasted at all) The dish came out with sauteed spinach with loads of fresh garlic (too much and too pungent if you ask me.. and I LOVE garlic) and mashed potatoes (made fresh... and yummy) My dining/cycling parter had the risotto (tomato sauce based). I can say that it was pretty good, but could have been better with maybe some basil oil/pesto added.. it just needed something. We skipped out on dessert because we were stuffed...but I will go back again and check out this restaurant in hopes that I caught them on an unusually off day. Updated versions of classis Italian specialties done really well. Unbelievably good - especially for this area. The town REALLY needs more places like this. AMBIANCE: Unlike anything around. Coming from the NY area, I admit I've become a bit jaded and its very hard to find nice places to eat in South Jersey unless I go to AC or Cherry Hill/Marlton. But Annata looks great and has impeccable service. It looks like a warehouse with exposed beams, cute booths with tables-for-2 tucked off to the side and the most comfortable chairs you could ever want to have in a restaurant. Perfect for a nice long dinner. Our server was bubbly and attentive. An added plus: Live music. Listening to Sinatra definitely added ambiance to the evening. FOOD: We ordered the salumi and formaggio platters. It all came out on a long wooden tray and was HUGE. There was an interesting mix of high-quality meats and cheeses with more than enough for 4 ppl to share. The Annata salad was very fresh and had beautifully poached pears. We also had the chilean sea bass, gnocchi duo, duck special and beef braciole. Everything was superb but the gnocci really stood out. Luscious and pillowy. I'm not Italian but one of my dinner companions said it rivaled her grandmother's recipe. DRINKS: Amazing wine list. We started with a round of French Kiss martinis...and then had another round. :) They were delicious! We then shared a nice bottle of Sangiovese. Again, you will be hard pressed to find a place with this selection anywhere around here. OVERALL: I loved it. I was super impressed. This would have been a 5-star review if the entree portions weren't so small. But it is tapas-style dining so I shouldn't really compare them to entree sizes. This part of the South Jersey DESPERATELY needs more places like this. There are so many businesses around here but no place decent to eat out. To top it off, this area has so much fresh produce and seafood but no place great to dine. Annata's solves that problem. I was happy and excited to make the trek to Hammonton to try a restaurant that I had heard such great things about. I was not disappointed. One of the best parts about the meal here was the interesting collection of dishes. One of the specials I had, squid ink pasta (yes the pasta was made with actual squid ink, making it black) was delicious. Of course this being a wine bar, the meal would be incomplete without a delicious Italian wine. I was happy to try this little gem in the middle of the state and will make the trip again. read more

(Disclaimer- our visit was in spring 2009) My husband and I arrived at Annata on a Friday evening without a reservation. We were slightly surprised to see the place was packed, and took a seat at the bar to wait for a table. We were really impressed with the ambiance. It was cozy, chic, sophisticated and reminded me much of a wine bar in the city. The wine list is definitely impressive, and included wines from a few local wineries as well. I don't remember exactly which ones we tried, but the bartender was very helpful and took the time to make recommendations based on what we told him we liked. We waited for about a half hour at the bar for our table to be ready. We were a bit disappointed though, when we were led out of the comfortable front room, and into a separate back room. The back room had high ceilings, sparse decor, and fewer tables- almost a warehouse feel. It definitely didn't have the cozy ambiance that the front part of the restaurant had. Our server was attentive and friendly. No problems there. The food was very hit or miss though. It was tapas style, and we ordered 4 plates between us: the gnocchi duo, the daily soup (which was a seafood bisque), pancetta wrapped pork tenderloin, and lobster mac and cheese. Gnocchi duo- while it was a tapas plate, it was still smaller than we expected (just a couple bites each). The gnocchi seemed mushy and overcooked, but sauces were tasty. Seafood bisque- delicious, creamy, flavorful, and filling. Very good. Pork tenderloin- good flavor, but the pork looked dangerously undercooked. Wasn't sure what to think about that. The potatoes that came with it were delicious though. Lobster mac and cheese- the lobster was overcooked and chewy, and amounted to a just few chunks on top, no more.
