The petit four flavors that I tried were the red velvet and the triple chocolate. Everything I had here was so beautifully made and tasted fresh. I will definitely be back here again.

They offer an extensive selection of flavors of their pasties which includes various macaron flavors, cupcakes, and cakes. I got a cannele, hazelnut financier and a mango iced matcha. The pastries were fresh, soft and mouth watering. The mango iced matcha was a little disappointing due to the bitter after taste of the drink. We were able to select a mix and match half dozen of their mostly local brews, which our lovely shopkeeper was able to put together with transferable can clips into one unit. There appears to be other things for sale in the way of snacks and light lunches, but we didn't pay much attention to them. We knew we would be stuffed with Maryland Blues, chowder and key lime pie that night and were saving our appetites until then. It was cool to buy our night's beverages in a shop that might have been selling grog and heavy ales for the last 250 years!

It can make navigating tricky, especially if there are more than a handful of customers in there. Still, the décor is wall-to-wall candy, mostly self-service by-the-pound options. The great thing about this setup is you get to pick what YOU like. And there is a great variety to satisfy most sweet tooths! The price... it is what it is. While I won't say it's prohibitively expensive, it's not "in-expensive." They have a rewards program, though, and my kid did get a free rock candy stick because of it. Maybe not the best value, but I will say that a lot of their items are a bit boutique. That's not a complaint, just an observation. They also have a decent selection of unique and fun beverages, such as "Duff Beer" and Aggretsuko energy drinks. A variety of ramune "marble" beverages, too, flavors I'd never seen in person before! I prefer flavors with a vanilla base like Funfetti and Snickerdoodle. Blue Crab Cupcakes has the best vanilla cupcakes that I have ever had. Never in my life would I have thought a vanilla cupcake could be so sophisticated and absolutely delicious. Blue Crab Cupcakes offers regular flavors, seasonal flavors and even some gluten free cupcakes.
