They are very professional, polite and patient whoever we're choosing items for our family's gift. My family loved their products too. Annebeth's is the refreshingly personalized liquor store on Maryland Avenue, Annapolis. It sits in the historic downtown area close by the marina, Naval Academy and State House. East to find with street parking right across the street. The space is small, but they have a decent cross section of wine, beer and harder stuff. If you're thinking booze warehouse you will be disappointed, but if you prefer more human scale, you can find happiness with Annebeth. We needed a six pack for our dinner at a local crab house. We were able to select a mix and match half dozen of their mostly local brews, which our lovely shopkeeper was able to put together with transferable can clips into one unit. There appears to be other things for sale in the way of snacks and light lunches, but we didn't pay much attention to them. We knew we would be stuffed with Maryland Blues, chowder and key lime pie that night and were saving our appetites until then. It was cool to buy our night's beverages in a shop that might have been selling grog and heavy ales for the last 250 years! read more

I found Annebeth's to be adorable! This small little specialty shop in DT Annapolis offers specialty foods, beer, wine, and even giftable items, such as salt/pepper shakers, bowls, chocolates, etc. Supposedly, this place was a classic film rental place, but slowly turned more into providing items for gifts and for entertaining. There was a sign that stated that they had fresh bread; I didn't notice any, but I did notice some baked muffins of some sort up at the cashier area. I enjoyed looking at the different preserves, cookies, and the cute salt/pepper shakers, especially the cute pug ones! There was only one employee by the cashier area, and she was welcoming and allowed us to peruse with freedom. This place is like a high-end convenient store. They have a HUGE variety of specialty wines and beers as well as international candies and snacks. My main reason for coming in here...Choco Vin!!! This is a huge party favorite! It is Chocolate Wine. I personally like this Chocolate Raspberry wine. It's about $14. I think you can get it cheaper at other places, but this is the only place that I know of in Annapolis. I also stop in here to get weird candy that I never see anywhere else. They always have samples and occasional wine tastings. I also browse the gifts in the back, but I don't really care for them too much. It's the snacks that draw me into this store. Annebeth's is our go-to place for beer, wine, and cold sodas on muggy summer afternoons. Located near the state house on Maryland Ave, it's a pretty convenient location that's walkable from almost anywhere in the old part of Annapolis. Since it's a small, local business they aren't going to be inexpensive, but capitalize on their size by constantly rotating microbrews and wines so there's always something different every time you go in. To put it simply, they keep it real. About half the time I'm there, they seem to be sampling sweet wines or specialty beers for free at the counter, and they sell one of my favorite indulgences: Jardine's Salsa, which is pretty much the best salsa I've ever had. They also sell really good specialty sodas, snacks, and other random good stuff. For such a small place, they do a great job. I go there all the time. Maybe I should improve my diet. read more

I like to look for unique beer, and this place had some while lacking a large selection. They seemed to have jumped onto the IPA bandwagon like even the cheapest of liquor stores, which baffles because there's better beer out there. They have other boutique like items there, but it only seems to take up space and make an already small area tighter. It's a tiny place, so trying to move around when other people are there is not happening. Probably good for some people, but I'll stick with other stores that have a bigger selection and better parking/access. read more

Super cute. Super friendly. Has wine and beer. I found some Angry Orchard wine- Muse flavor. Haven't been able to find it anywhere else and it was very nice to find. My friend noticed they have freshly made pepperoni rolls and fresh made bread. Local items such as eggs and dairy. Other cute, unique novelty gifts and some Japanese treats, alcohol, and food prep items. This store is so worth if you visit Annapolis or live in the area. There is a small freezer with local, natural meats and some vegan pizza. Imported sodas, import chocolate, and more. A great, eclectic fusion of local and international in a cute store. I had a very unfortunate experience here. Its partly my fault, I admit. I read such great things on Yelp that I came here to buy a couple bottles of wine for a party. My mother came with me to help me carry my purchases. Unfortunately, while I was choosing a bottle, her purse accidentally grazed a coffee mug, knocking it to the floor. A little piece of the mug broke off. The second it hit the floor, the woman at the register looked at ME and said, "are you paying for that?" First of all, don't blame the young person immediately. It wasn't me. Second of all, her tone was so hostile that my mom hung back afraid to admit it was her, therefore I continued to get chastised like a naughty child for breaking it. The mug cost $20, but she said I could pay $10 since I only broke off a little piece. Ok fine, but listen...I was about to buy at least $50 worth of wine from your store. So if you had been nicer to me, or maybe said, "its ok it was an accident, don't worry about it," you would have made more money. Instead, Annabeth's made me feel so uncomfortable that I just wanted to get out of there and buy my wine at another store. Accidents happen, no need to loudly and publicly shame people over it. *Please note - 2 months after writing this review, the owner of Annebeth's did write to me to apologize and encouraged me to return to her store.* read more

Annebeth has a fantastic assortment of Annapolis- and Maryland-made wine, gifts, chocolates, beer and food (like soups, stuffed croissants and butter) on top of well curated snacks, chocolates and wine from all over. This is a very interesting store. While not on Main Street, it is still part of downtown Annapolis and just a short walk from USNA gate #3 (Gateway Inn) on Maryland Avenue. Lots of nice little gifts, gourmet food, craft beer, and wine. I stopped by in September 2017 during parents' weekend. They had a good selection of cold craft beer and let you mix and match six packs. They even fill growlers. The owner was very helpful. This place is a hidden gem in Annapolis. read more
