This was my first time eating at Anna Restaurant and it was good. The delivery was a longer then expected but worth the wait.

a tray of food and a container of rice

Authentic West African cuisine my first time coming was a little over a month ago. They used to be in Southwest Philadelphia and moved recently to the new location. A huge selection of quality food: shawarma, Dibi dishes, potato greens, fish. The platter I ordered was very well flavored. Will definitely come more often this is definitely a spot you want to try and will not be disappointed.

Like literally when we walked in someone was on a mic encouraging others to sing Mario "You Should Let Me Love You" and then went on to more early 00s jams. Inviting to all, but very much a safe space for Blackness. It was what I would hope from Philly's first Black brewery. The food system was pretty cool. No Liberty Kitchen that night, but we ordered through an app and were notified when our food serviced from Corio was ready. They leave it on tray for you to pickup. The cocktail I had was very good and the bartender was friendly. The comedy show was 'eh,' I'll give it a pass. Some were funnier than others, and you could tell a few were still working on their craft. Comedy is hard. Overall, I'm excited for all their offerings like their tours, nearby beer garden and themed events.

The first thing that stands out to me about Two Locals is the huge space with all kinds of amenities. Whether its a seat at the bar, grabbing a seat by a barrel, or grabbing a table for a group of any size; it has the perfect seating arrangement for you. While the brewery side only serves libations the space also features the Landing Kitchen serving all kinds of damn good food. Another plus is the huge variety of games that they have to play, including an ice breakers questions game that made for a good second date activity. The service at Two Locals is great and filled with bartenders who provide good brew suggestions. And I love that Two Locals is a brewery that goes beyond pouring IPAs while also pouring some damn good ones.. Favorite beers of mine from here include the Nubian brown ale, the Gaspar dark Mexican lager, the Riots smoked rauchbier, and the Foway farmhouse saison. For events outside of beer Two Locals features events like a comedy showcase, movie screenings, gospel karaoke, and then some. And starting in Apirl 3rd they'll also be partnering with UCity Square to have a pop-up beer garden in The Lawn.

Aminta was our waitress very friendly and throughout, there wasn't a long way to get our food. The food had a homemade vibes to it, which was great everybody was satisfied with their meal. We ordered: + ham and cheese omelet (comes with your choice of grits or home fries -- I ordered the Home fries with green pepper. I liked the dish! It's just what you would expect, nothing fancy, but it fills you up in a feel-good way) + 2 eggs with beef sausage (my boyfriend ordered this, also with home fries. It comes with toast, which is very well buttered. He said he was very satisfied) + hotcakes (stack of three, plenty of butter. Very fluffy!) Loved the old fashioned chrome stools as well. Definitely coming back in the future for more breakfast in a pleasant, unassuming space.

Damn good delivery/takeout style pies, for a great price…read more I'm Philly born and raised, I bleed green, and even though I can't eat them regularly anymore because they'll kill me, I'm probably still at least 10 percent cheesesteak. That said, I think Philly, for the most part, has given up on corner store style pizza. Gourmet neopolitan descended pizza? We got that by the yacht load. But we all know that's too fancy for workhorse, blue collar, I used to have to carry boxes to save up money for my Playstation games kinda taste. I'm gonna give them their flowers this one time - NYC knows how to make cheap, solid, go to any spot and grab a slice and you'll be alright pizza. This is not something you can do anywhere in Philly. You gotta know your spots. Most places don't let their dough rise long enough to develop flavor, or they add a ton of sugar to their dough and or sauce, or they under bake everything to get the pies out faster. You know what I mean. You've been through this. You all have a spot where you're like "at 3 am after the club, sure. But sober?" For this reason, I learned to bake my own pies, at home. It's a multi day process. Make dough. Allow it to ferment in fridge for at least 24, but no more than 72 hours. Stretch, top, bake on a stone at 550F, and boom. The kind of pizza I'll enjoy sober. And Carter's is out here doing this for me! On a standard (I didn't ask for well done, I wanted to see how it would come out) crust, it comes out poofy, foldable, but able to stand up to its toppings. The dough i less salty than I would make, but plenty fine and full of flavor. Same with the sauce. The cheese pulls like a dream, and the pepperoni has just the right amount of grease. I think next time I will ask for well done, because this is the kind of crust where you get it a little toasty and whoooowheeeeee, we're gourmet now, guys and gals! You put this pizza in the dictionary and only internet nerds that no one likes would "well actually, pizza includes Chicago deep dish style" get outta here, nerd! We're talking workhorse pizza! I do love deep dish too so that's another conversation, but not the one we're having right now. Carter's - I salute you. You are my spot, right up there with Enjay's, for exactly what I want when I'm a little too lazy to cook, and want a delicious pie that I -never- question whether it's worth the money. And I haven't even partaken in your beer selection yet. Got-damn. I'll update this when I do.
