Dr. Holmes came highly recommended by Kristie W. at AAOBGYN and the pediatrician at St. David's North Austin Hospital. Their front desk, Dahlia, was very helpful in answering my questions, and flexible while I was in the hospital. We weren't sure if we were getting discharged after five or six nights, and Dahlia said it would be alright for me to call her at 8 am if we hadn't been discharged yet to reschedule the appointment for the next day. All of their pediatricians are open to delaying vaccines. I delayed the hepatitis B vaccine at the hospital as my baby was battling jaundice as a preemie. I trust Raquel, the nurse practioner who hails from Southside Chicago. She is very knowledgeable and was able to answer all of my questions on vaccines. She explained that the Pediatric RSV antibodies shot is not technically a vaccine per se, even though it's called a vaccine. She showed me the list of ingredients for the RSV antibodies shot which does not contain any preservatives or aluminum so that I felt comfortable giving him the shot one day after discharge. So far we really like Dr. Holmes. He's knowledgeable, kind, and gentle with our baby. He gives great advice to first time parents and isn't rigid on rules and feeding times as long as our baby is gaining weight. Our lactation consultant was giving us rigid rules and stressing us out, where as Raquel and Dr. Holmes put our minds at ease and said to keep doing what we're doing since our baby is gaining weight.

Dr. Veronica Supkay has made the transition much better than expected. She is kind, personable, and a very good listener- everything I need in a personal physician. She is great about answering my many questions, no matter how big or small. There is no resistance to my concerns and/ or requests for tests. You don't know how many times a new Dr. walks in the room, and it is quite obvious they have only looked at my name, age and perhaps why I am there today, nothing about those 8 other pages they make you fill out. Unable to see a child in pain and experts in bad behavior towards parents scheduled an appointment for 11:30 AM. It was entered in their system as 11:15, and I -- the parent who booked it -- never received a confirmation. We arrived three minutes past the grace period for a time we hadn't agreed to, and our sick toddler was refused care. My child was in visible pain with a worsening infection and was never assessed or even looked at. No other physician was offered, no referral, no urgent-care suggestion. The front desk and office manager spent the time arguing with us about the clock rather than showing any concern for the sick child in front of them. This wasn't a one-off. Getting a timely sick visit with the MD has consistently been difficult, despite the practice advertising same-day sick visits. Zero compassion. If you need a pediatrician who will actually see your child when they're sick, look elsewhere. We've moved our care.

I waited to give my daughter the heb B vaccine in the hospital because she was in the NICU and was very small, so I wanted to wait a few weeks to her due date to start her vaccines. Dr Baine put a lot of pressure on me and gave me a horror story about a woman who didn't know she had Hep B and gave it to her child. The follow up at my daughters two week was the same.. more pressure about not having the vaccine yet. Talking with her is like catching up with a friend and she somehow seems to calm any anxiety I have without making me feel like a crazy person. Sandra, who is a front office staff member just spent 15 minutes on the phone with me, helping me to schedule multiple well checks as well as get immunization records for all three of my children. She made it so easy and was patient with all of my various requests. I'm not sure why there's negative reviews for limited appointment times. Each and every time I've called for a sick visit, I am nearly always gotten in that very day. Absolutely would recommend them.
