2nd time I've used Ankmar, 15 years ago in my last house and now. Called on a Saturday for a broken garage door spring and they came out that morning. On time and got it fixed in 45 min. Reyes was great - professional and knowledgeable. Would highly recommend. read more

Door installer was friendly, professional, and efficient. However, the window insert we had wanted was the wrong size; replacement insert was to be ordered but did not happen prior to several phone calls we made to Ankmar. Quoted 4-6 weeks. read more

I found them to be easy, timely, fairly priced for a garage spring replacement. Would recommend

The Ankmar service department was able to get to our house quickly. The technician came on time and communicated accurate times prior to our appointment. Not only did they arrive on time, the technician was able to repair our door for $200 and cleaned up the existing system so the units function more quietly. In addition to fair rates, they did not try to sell us any unnecessary equipment or services. I would highly recommend! read more

The Ankmar night crew tonight on the phone (esp. Ms Allie and her associate) and then the night service tech, Mr Reyes, were VERY helpful after hours. They eased my mind about the problem, came as scheduled SAME night, and promptly resolved the issue. Mr Reyes took only a few minutes to figure out what was happening and got me back in action. I give them VERY high marks. Highly recommended. read more

I chose Ankmar garage doors because they are a bigger company with a long reputation in the Metro area, and have positive reviews. My experience was good. Fast estimate with no BS upselling. Many brands to choose from. I recommend reviewing all the different brands they offer and taking you time choosing the new doors. There are many options of insulation and windows.. Pricing was fair and communication and installation went great. I recommend Ankmar if you need it done right , on time , and on budget. I'm very happy with the thermacore doors. read more

Honestly am not sure if this is the company who installed the new garage door opener many years ago since I was told they claimed they had no information about the install; however they did a nice job replacing the springs. Will have to dig through records to see and will update this review as appropriate. But for now, their work seemed to be very complete as well as prompt. read more

Ankmar installed our garage door openers 27 years ago and have always serviced them. The technicians have all been professional and knowledgeable and friendly. We wouldn't use anyone else. read more

I had two techs come out. One to assess the garage door spring. The other to come install a replacement that the first didn't have on hand that day. The initial tech was concise and presented potential replacement scenarios, diagnosis was quick. The installing Ankmar tech, Robert, was great. He explained the process, showed me the broken spring, and performed the replacement quickly despite some of the obstacles present in my garage. Both professionals. Great service. Definitely recommend Ankmat based on this experience. read more

Chip of Ankmar did a nice job replacing our old garage door opener and keypad. Courteous, helpful and competent. Recommended. $700 for 2-car garage read more

If I could give Ankmar zero stars I would. Ankmar salesman Cantrell may take advantage of who he is selling too. It may take 9 to 10 months to get the everyday door as they are holding your 50% deposit. They may bring a door that looks zero like your adjacent door. You may get the real door at two years. That comes missing a window and needs a technician to come out three more times to get it it running Subpar without upgrading everything that makes the door work well. Lastly Ankmar may give a measly discount for this mess and say that's all they are going to do and threaten to put a lean on your home if your do not pay the remaining balance before the door is even fixed. Good Luck if you pick this company read more

I want to follow up about my previous review of Ankmar garage door. The company expedited the repair of the garage door opener noise . The management was involved and I felt that they genuinely wanted to make sure that their customers were satisfied with their work. I appreciated the follow up and I would not hesitate to recommend this garage door company. When considering garage door openers do not purchase Liftmaster model number 81550. read more

Quick response even though after hours and prompt scheduling of the repair the next day. Technician very professional , knowledgeable and courteous and repairs consistent with door type and size. A thorough exam and servicing of all garage parts and setting of remotes was included. We were very satisfied. read more

This company is ripping people off. $260 for cable replacement. the cables are $10 to $14 for two and takes less then one hour to replace. this is the second time they've replaced these cables and repair costs are half the cost of a new install for the entire garage door. just another greedy and dishonest company. watch YouTube and do it yourself or get ripped off by Ankmar!!!! read more

On Memorial Day, I backed up and hit the lower panel of our garage door. That thing was messed up, stuck half-way up with rollers off the rails, rails bent, and lower panel bowed out. Luckily I was able to get my car out. ANKMAR had done the initial install of the door 6 years ago, so I called their # on the back of the door. The technician, Jared, was there the following morning. First words out of his mouth were "this isn't as bad as it looks". Loved hearing that! He fixed it up, bent things back into place, screwed the bottom panel back together, then went on adjust the springs, fix the door trim, grease the hinges and reset the garage door open limit, all finished in about 90 minutes... and that door looks (nearly) undamaged from the outside, and just fine on the inside. I'm psyched read more

Ankmar installed the garage door on a new build I purchased in 7/22. The door no longer goes down. There is a metal piece pulling on the top of the door, separating the windows from the door. I've had 3 companies come out and state the door was installed incorrectly. According to everything I've researched, garage door expected life is 10-20 years. Ankmar estimates an $830.00 repair for the metal piece pulling at the door, but it will not fix the overall improper installation and the problem will reoccur. I cannot recommend this company for either installation or repair. read more

I received same day service. The serviceman was professional, efficient and diagnosed the problem quickly, which was followed by a transparent (no hidden extra fees) and reasonable estimate. Highly recommend them! read more

Scheduled my appointment that was available 3 days away from date of call. I felt this was very reasonable. Person answering calls was helpful with providing info on what to expect. The only thing that disturbs me is that there is a 4 hour window on when a repairman can get to me. This ends up taking a whole morning or afternoon depending on your choice. I get its not a fault of the business but maybe more people should be hired. With that being said, the repairman showed up only 30 min past the window start time so was very convenient. Marvin was amazing, friendly and fun to talk to while he was working. Provided information and options and future suggestions. Appreciate all of it. He was very knowledgeable. I would definitely use them again and in the future. read more

Had a new opener installed last summer, which was completed on time and budget. Recently, the garage door has struggled to close and often will not when it's cold. I called Ankmar (at the number on the sticker they put on the door) on 17 November at 404pm MST. I was given an appointment on 21 November from 12-2. At 210 when no one had shown up and I had not received any communication, I called to see the status. I was told that I had No appointment and it would be several days before they would come. This was conveyed in a rather curt manner and I was told several times that I was wrong about even having an appointment. A garage door not closing is something that needs prompt attention, so I do not trust Ankmar. Update: Ankmar contacted me to apologize and offer a tune up. I'm adding a star for that. read more

Friendly, efficient, knowledgeable. Service technician arrived and I informed him that this was for a yearly service call. I also informed him that I was concerned about the sound being emitted when the garage door opened and closed. He found that the cable on one side was getting stuck and corrected it. Sounds much better. read more

Needed new motor and remote components; excellent service, reasonably priced. Quick and efficient!

I called for a service appointment on a squeaky garage door. the technician came out the next day, diagnosed the problem in a timely manner, and then came the next day to replace the part that was squeaking. Communication was great and service exceeded our expectations. Thankful for skilled technicians at Ankmar. read more

I called them in May and placed an order for a $1,300 storm door. A regular storm door. Because of the supply chain the door can in August-no problem. Except it was missing a part. I was told it would be delivered and installed that week. I got the part today, 10 weeks later! They avoided my calls and took days to respond. Always friendly and nice but come on! 10 weeks for 1 single part? When I asked if I would have gotten faster service if I hadn't paid in full I got no response. Please price shop (certain I could have gotten it cheaper) and do not pay until the job is completed to your satisfaction read more

Ankmar has always done a fantastic job of meeting and surpassing expectations! They are good at letting us know when they will arrive, very efficient at fixing what's needed and letting us know what is fine as it is! Service requested by me: replace a broken spring on my garage door. When I calle, customer service kept me on hold for nearly 20 minutes. Why??? Customer service set up a 4-hour time period to get service the next day. The guy came late & said, "oh gee, I don't have the right size spring" even though a picture had been sent to the company. The guy promised that someone would come during another 4-hour period the next day. Well, a guy came AFTER the 4-hour period the next day just as I was about to leave. Quoted $517 for the repair to be done another day, but I said that I needed to leave, so no. Called another garage door company the next day. This repairman came right away & fixed my door PLUS! Cost $385. Definitely would NEVER call or recommend Ankmar to ANYONE! Go elsewhere! read more

I used Ankmar a while back at the recommendation of a friend after a spring broke on my garage door. This was a non-urgent visit and the guy came out during working hours a day or so later. I had received multiple quotes for the spring replacement by the time they came and they were all in the $500-700 range as these were larger custom springs. The guy from Ankmar that came verbally quoted me a little more than 700. I went with this company as it came highly recommended. Two days later when someone came to install, a family member was home for the installation and the bill somehow jumped to $1200+ for the 2 springs and 45 minutes of labor. The family member signed the bill as we just assumed the price would be as quoted. I tried calling Ankmar on multiple occasions as well as sending emails and using their customer service website to contest this price and there is no response. Whenever I had called, they say a manager will get back to me but it never happens. $500 is a huge amount for me to lose and I never would have used this company if I was aware of this price. It is also so far above their competitors' pricing. Even if I was in the wrong in this case, they never had the courtesy to get back to me in any form which I find unprofessional and frankly, suspect of their business practices. I regret using this company and would not recommend to anyone! read more

I will definitely NOT use this company ever again. After having to reschedule three times due to their failures, I had to pay a cost higher than my original price quote. read more

Our garage door needed a re-balance after installing a door insulation kit. Our technician arrived within his appointment window, quickly assessed the problems, and quickly re-balanced the spring to the new door weight, adjusted my light beam safety, adjusted the upper and lower limits of my door opener, and aligned the track on one side. Done in 20 minutes because he was just focused and efficient. Very professional. I will use again and highly recommend Ankmar. read more

We had been having some trouble with our garage doors recently. I set an online appointment which was easy to do from their website. The technician came within the scheduled window and called before hand to let me know he was on his way. Larry (I'm terrible with names, sorry if I got it wrong) took a look at the doors after I explained what was happening with them. He figured out the problem quickly, explained what was happening and switched out the necessary parts with new ones. Took the time to re- grease the tracks and rollers for us. So far so good, doors working properly again. All in all, we've been pleased with the response time from making the appointment and when work was completed. I'd recommend Ankmar to anyone having trouble with their garage doors. read more

Service technician arrived within the appointment time slot provided. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and quickly fixed broken springs.

Terrible experience. Had an appointment from anywhere 2pm-6pm never received a call for when they would be at my house. Once they got here at 5:30pm they tried to scam me into purchasing a whole new garage opener. Nothing is wrong with my unit just got jammed on the safety bolt and the guy took the bolt out and never gave it back to me and told me I need a whole new machine. Fixed the issue myself the next day and my garage works perfectly. Never will recommend or use this company again. read more
