We checked several other spots first,…read moreand everywhere else either had much higher prices or a bunch of restrictions and hidden fees (like charging $100 just to put a board on your car roof). None of that here. They have very reasonable prices, good-quality boards, and the staff helps you choose the right size board and paddle. We paid only $30 per person for a half-day SUP rental and $25 for a full day surfboard rental, which is a great deal for this area. One thing I'd recommend though - double-check that the staff actually secures the rope when they strap the boards to your car. The employee didn't want our help, but a few minutes into the drive the boards started coming loose. Luckily, we had a Jeep Wrangler with an open roof, so we were able to hold them. Turned out the ropes weren't even properly tied, just kinda thrown on. Hopefully this was just a one-off, especially since they do keep your card on file in case anything happens to the boards. Overall though best prices and conditions in town. Definately recommend!

We just rented the boards and didn't do any instruction since we've all done a lot of paddleboarding. The beach was gorgeous and the water was really warm and clear so we saw a lot of fish, corals and urchins. The only downside for us was our reservation was during low tide and it was VERY low at the time and pretty windy! We had to be really careful navigating around reef so we didn't damage the reef or the boards. I would recommend doing a quick check of the tide tables before you make your reservation. There's also no cell service down where you meet your boards, so be sure your whole party knows where they are going.

First off, they charge the least of anyone we could find on the island: $40 per person for a 90 minute session. This is usually 15 minutes of beach instruction and another 75 minutes in the water. They then let you use the boards on your own to keep practicing. Our main instructor, Nephi, was a great guy who seemed to genuinely want us to be able to surf. They are not tied to one particular place on the island, but instead go wherever the weather and surf will be perfect for learning. That means that they could be in Poi'pu one week, Waimea the next, and Princeville after that. You just have to call to find out if they are booked and where they will be. Have cash or a check ready, no plastic for these beach bums. They provide everything else you need, except your swimsuit... They have the boards and surf shirts to help prevent skin rash and keep you warm. On that note, it is suggested that women wear board shorts to keep their upper thighs from getting rashed when moving or pushing up on the board. We both managed to stand up and surf multiple times during our first ever attempt at surfing! We highly recommend this group.
