We couldn't have been happier with the tour that we chose for our na Pali coast tour…read more We went with a bigger boat that could still fit in the caves, which ended up being the best choice. It had a little bit of cover, so as a ginger that burns, I sat towards the front and was able to stay mostly out of the sun the entire trip We were able to learn so much about the land, cruised next to a massive pod of dolphins and went in two caves. It was amazing. When we got to the snorkel spot they brought out some drinks and snacks. Snacks included fresh pineapple, chips and granola bars. They do have a bathroom on board for emergencies....but they let you know straight up it's not something you WANT to use if you can avoid it. My only complaint is that they didn't urge people to stay seated on the ride back. This older gentleman decided to come up and stand right next to me to jump and ride the waves? And kept slamming into me and stepping on my feet. Our bench was full so I had no room to move over. I asked him nicely to stop and he ignored me, and the guides ignored him. There are signs all over saying to stay seated when the boat is moving.

Need to be sure on your feet. *Almost all of it is shaded. *We all did fine doing the hike in water shoes, but they have some for you to rent if needed. *To get behind the waterfall, you climb up a 10-15 foot rock face using a rope. I'm a sucker for waterfalls. Living in Hawaii, most are crowded so much so that it's not super enjoyable. This is on private land, so all that's down there is what's on yours specific tour. I loved that! We were told they sometimes have close to 30 people on the tour, but including my family of three, there were six of us that day. We hiked down to the 30 foot first. You can go out to it and maybe be in water up to your waist. Then we hiked over to the 60 foot. That one you have to swim out to, but there is a ledge once you get close. The waterfall is massive and amazing. Getting to sit right I see it was amazing. We got to climb up and walk behind it as well, which was really neat! Definitely recommend! Will tell everyone it's a must do!

Then we got out and went on a "hike" which was a great easy nature walk. Bruce explained the flora and fauna to us and the history is the islands floral. Then we came to a watering hole and there was a rope swing we could use. The water was very refreshing. We saw two water falls and then there was a giant motorized canoe they take you back in.

Our tour included 2 zip lines, so enough to fulfill the need to fly but not hours of zip-lines back-to-back. This tour is more about the kayak up the river and the hike through some beautiful, undisturbed nature.

They take you into caves and aren't afraid to squeeze in. What we didn't expect, getting MAJA island stories and information while the captain/DJ plays some great music and choreographed movie scores to go with the vibes. We met hundreds of SPINNA dolphins and during the one hour snorkel stop, we were escorted by a beautiful Honu across the reef. The wife and I talk about this trip all the time. And Chaz? Absolute legend. Kept the vibes light with some solid (and delightfully cheesy) jokes, plus he snapped a ton of pics so we could actually enjoy the moment without worrying about our phones. But the real highlights? Getting insanely close to the cliffs and feeling the sheer power of the ocean, then just floating out in the middle of nowhere, taking it all in. We did the 8am trip and by the time we were leaving the falls and the trail back to the boats was packed. In terms of the level of activity, we are fairly active people but in no way athletic. The other people on our tour we had children and everyone did fine with the trip. It's a few miles of kayaking on calm river waters, then about 1-2 mile walk through the jungle. The walk was all flat but the trail was a bit tricky since there are tons of tree roots.
