I could spend hours just digging and is easy to navigate. Their graphic novel section is just as strong, thoughtfully curated with top writers and artists kept in mind. The weekly new release selection is always on point, I love walking that wall of newly released comics and finding something new. Alex, the owner, is genuinely kind and approachable. The shop has that Cheers-like vibe where you can talk comics with the owner and other collectors without feeling rushed. If you're in the Bay Area and love comics, this shop is a must-visit. A bit pricey ( 1$ extra for one slice of tomato and 1$ extra for some shredded lettuce ) but they were good! And somebody was selling coffee too. We sat in the car to enjoy our lunch, then went back to the store for more bargains. The bookstore has some outside vendors too. The staff here have always been…read morefriendly, helpful, they have a comic section with books from the last year or so on the right side of the store which includes titles from Marvel, DC, Image, Dynamite, and a few titles from independents. I have not seen many back issues with the exception of wall comics. They have a pretty large area of clearance $1 comics on the left side of the store which seem to be 2-3 years old books. I like that these $1 boxes are on tables and my back appreciates that they are easy to sort through. They also have an inventory of collected editions which includes trade paperbacks, hardcovers, omnibus, and compendiums. The owner Kerry has tried to help me find some obscure current comic books a couple times which I appreciate. The staff have all been helpful and easy to work with. I believe they do a significant amount of business in trading card/game card these days, but still have a respectable comic offering.

They're really helpful. They have a few long boxes set up in the front with 1 dollar comics and 5 dollar graphic novels in the front of the store. Singles are kept in the 1$ long boxes which include a lot Marvel, Image, Valiant, Ultraverse comics from the 90s, you'll also find some DC and vertigo titles as well. Sifting through these boxes gave me flashbacks of when I was a comic collector in the 90s. Towards the back left and back wall of the store, you'll find shelves of graphic novels, omnibus, and other collected editions. Back issues are set up on a large table in the back. You can find a mixed selection of different titles from Silver age to modern. I found surprising inventory of certain title runs. I have a bit more exploring to do in this store. Crush carries good comic storage stuff - boxes, bags and boards (BCW brand) on the right side of the store.

One of the most beautiful written and beautifully drawn comics of 1999. Smax #5 by Alan Moore. All of these Alan Moore comics on America Best Comics are gems. Alan Moore getting his 2nd wind and having fun with comic books again. Coup D'etat #1 Written By Ed Brubaker; Art By Jim Lee, #2 Written By Micah Ian Wright; Interesting event storyline where The Authority seizes control of the US Government. This TPB is out of print and since Micah Ian Wright was fired by DC and blacklisted from comics for stolen valor everything he's written has stayed out of print. The Authority story with art by Jim Lee that DC will probably never ever reprint in our lifetime. And some FCBD Greatest America Superhero, Superman, ect. Great store and great customer service.

We were not given a receipt and now the product is open, we're stuck with these Lafufus. Buyer beware.
