Disappointed. This time I decided to try a local, small business... Serenity Pest, I spoke with the owner directly and he was able to make it the same day. Winning! Serenity was able to discover the opening for the rat was hard to get to using my access door because that portion of the house was an addition. Probably why the first company didn't bother. Serenity had to access through the outside of my house and had to carefully remove my vent and the sidings around it. Entered through the crawlspace and capped off the problem. Set traps, caught rat, cleaned, and sanitized all areas of concern. Just wow! What a difference of finding a company of quality! Thank you! Thank you!

in September 2018 we had 3 known racoons on the roof of a rental house, a family or racoons, baby…read moreincluded. they were visualized by my tenants but were causing a flea problem for my tenants, so they had to go. when i called San Francisco pest wildlife removal (sanfranciscopestwildlife.com 415.881.4347) they were swift to act which was great. however, they charge per animal capture (which i think is $150/animal- which would have totaled $450). i knew i had 3 racoons, so rather than breaking up the family, i paid over $600 to have them relocated all at once and all together (a "package deal" by the company). infact getting the "package deal" and relocating them all together so they wouldn't be separated was encouraged by the agent i spoke with on the phone. so rather than pay the lower rate which trapped one at a time, and saved me a few hundred dollars, the bleeding heart in me dished out the money to have them all removed/relocated at once. again, also recommended by the agent on the phone. Oddly, racoons returned to the roof 3 months later. since i have never had a problem with racoons at my house, i thought maybe the same ones returned, so i called the company to see 1) if i had some sort of warranty, and to have them spell out what areas are problematic 2) to see where they relocated the racoons. the woman who answered the phone looked into the records and said that they terminated the family, and that no, they do not have any warranty. she also became annoyed after i started complaining to her ($600+ is a lot of money, especially to have the problem return 3 months later), and she told me "sundays the office was closed but that she answered the phone anyways". Their website says (in 3 places) "we are available 24/7 via cell phone". their website also says," When we encounter animals inside a house, we inspect every part of the house, from ground level to EVERY PART OF THE ROOF, to identify all the areas of entry, and all vulnerable areas, and we perform professional repairs, with guarantee, to seal entry holes shut". yet when i asked her what they found, what was documented when they captured the family, she said that no inspection was done on the roof. when i started to question the agent WHAT EXACTLY DID I PAY FOR, who by the way was the same agent who originally helped me in september (most likely the owner), she started to get defensive, and eventually hung up on me. THIS COMPANY JUST WANTS YOUR MONEY. THEIR ETHICS ARE CRAP. They don't care about the wildlife they trap. they push the "save the wildlife family card", and they euthanize them all, once they trap them and mislead the consumer. also, it seems they are licensed in CO. not sure how that affects their practice in CA, but i have filed a complaint with BBB and Fish and Game. :)

Went out of town for a getaway up in Oregeon and had my dogsitter watch our pup and house. Turned…read moreout as my husband was loading up our SUV for our road trip, at 6:30am, he left garage open as he ran up and down our stairs to gather stuff to put inside our car. That is the only time we can think of when the racoon got inside our garage. 36hrs later, my dogsitter texts me at 12:45am telling me there's a racoon scratching at our kitchen door trying to get in the house from our garage!!! Long story, short, she calls Animal Control, who doesn't deal with racoon removal, they recommend another company. She calls, but gets VM. So we call Wildlife Removal San Francisco and speak with Maria who is very nice. We tell her our situation and she tells us their prices for cage install, PPE, and cage removal. All reasonable, in our opinion. And even better they can come out within a few hours to put the cage in our garage. The tech arrived promptly per my dogsitter and gave her instructions on how often to check the cage. Within 24hrs later we had him captured in the cage. She contacted them the next morning & they came over and removed the racoon. Everyone at Wildlife Removal SF, we talked with from Maria, to her daughter Bianca, to Shawna who removed the crate, was helpful, answered all our questions, consistently called us back with updates of the progress of when the crate was arriving and had been picked up and where they were going to release the racoon once he was deemed healthy, were outstanding, professional, great communicators, and incredibly easy to deal with. I can't recommend this company enough if you have a problem with wildlife in your home. Excellent service!!

Otis and Pest #1 are awesome!! We had an awful smell coming…read morefrom under our house, so I called one of the big-name pest control companies for a free estimate. When the tech guy arrived, he told me he thought the problem might be in the attic (what? so clearly from under the house) and might be mold (what? smelled like dead animal). I never did receive an estimate from them. Then I called Pest#1 - WOW what difference! Otis said that it smelled like there was a dead something under the house. The crawl space is very short/full of ductwork, and the smell was awful. Otis said the tech from the big-name company probably just did not want to do the hard yucky work. Otis put on his gear, and spent half an hour dragging himself through the crawl space looking for the problem. It was grueling, but he just kept at it. Eureka - a really gross large dead rat. You want help from someone who knows how to work to solve your pest problem, can't do better than Pest#1 and Otis.

The next thing they did was charge several more thousands of dollars to seal up holes that they thought they saw from underneath the house. i'm guessing we spent probably $4000 or $5000 by this time. This did not solve the problem. I called them back again, Otis came out again, and this time he said that they were jumping on the roof and that we should cut the trees back. We did so. Otis looked on the roof and sealed up anything he could find. But this did not solve the problem. My son continuously reported to me that he kept hearing the rats in his wall. When I would tell this company this situation, they would say oh we don't open walls. Well, if they don't open walls, why did they keep looking at other places when that's where my son reported hearing them? They weren't coming in from the furnace room which cost us thousands of dollars. They weren't coming in from the roof which also cost us thousands of dollars. They weren't coming in from under the house, which cost us several more thousands of dollars. And guess what the rats are still there. I contacted the company yet again, why I have no idea since they clearly can't fix the problem, but I wanted to get them the benefit of the doubt. This time, they had the audacity to say, will seal it up and will guarantee it and it'll be perfect and it'll cost you another $2250 I contacted them and said you guys said it would be perfect and wonderful and sealed up before, the last three times I hired you and Mark laughed and said oh you know we don't open walls. He actually laughed, incredible. They seem to think I would actually hire them again. I'm considering small claims court. In any event folks, save yourselves a lot of grief, and don't hire this company under any circumstances. I have a feeling some of the other five star reviews were relatives of theirs, trying to help them get their rip off business on wheels.

Recently we had a very bad skunk smell about a week before Labor Day. Our furnace provider checked…read moreour duct work and confirmed some rodent in our crawlspace. We frantically began our search, but many offered limited services (e.g. prevent but not remove/cleanup) or have no inspectors till after Labor Day. We are glad we found Attical. Their inspector Angie came next day, recommended that we sanitized the crawlspace and covered it in plastic etc. We approved, and next day, their team led by David showed up promptly. During the work, I asked if the deck needs to be checked too. David volunteered to remove a couple of planks and viola - we found the dead skunk right away thanks to his work! After removing it the smell improved dramatically in our house. The work is done well, and they even helped to put wire meshes around my porch and deck to prevent future rodents from coming in. Overall, we are very pleased with their professionalism, quality of work, and promptness.

Tony is a honest, skilled and reliable guy to work with. Before hiring him, we had a big company…read morecame and they couldn't find the reason why a rat could be dead in wall while there is no visible hole all around the house. Despite that fact, they still tried to quote me more than 1K for them to check and seal holes. The other contractor even asked to break the floor to see any rat entry which would cost a fortune. But when Tony arrived, I showed him where the dead rat smell is, he immediately thought there should be something going on behind the wall since there is no visible hole on the outside. He then cut part of the wall and he was right from the beginning, there was a nest for that recent dead rat and couple old ones too. He figured out there are gaps between siding and foundation and that is a leverage for that rats to make entry holes. He then helped seal all of them with a strong flash mental which rats can't chew in. Thanks to Tony, we found and solve the problem when other big companies can not. He even charged a reasonable price. We really appreciated his passion to the job. He also managed to come while it was supposed his family time. Please give this guy a call if you ever encounter a pest problem.

We had a stressful raccoon situation with a mother and baby nesting inside an old electrical box…read morethrough a hole in the exterior of our house. The baby was trapped in the wall shared with our bedroom, and we could hear both the baby and mom at different times. It was very nerve wracking. The mom would come and go, and at one point seemed to leave the baby alone for a day or two. We even hired a general contractor to open the wall to try to find the baby, but we could not locate it. Meanwhile, the raccoon started tearing up parts of the exterior, including a vent. We called several pest control companies, but they all suggested trapping the raccoon which did not help since the baby was still inside the wall. We eventually contacted Wildlife Support, who recommended Tony, and I am so glad they did. Tony responded quickly, came out to assess the situation, and created a thoughtful game plan with us. The next day he returned with a thermal camera to locate the baby and set up a one way trap to safely remove both mom and baby. When the mom figured out how to open the trap and kept going back in, Tony quickly pivoted and came up with another plan. He returned the following day with a smaller trap and a makeshift blocker so we could close the hole immediately once the mom left. Tony was incredibly knowledgeable and clearly cared about the animals. His priority was getting them out safely without harming them. He was also friendly, professional, and genuinely concerned for our safety, reminding us to stay away when the raccoon returned and checking in on us often. Not only did he successfully resolve the raccoon situation, he got them out safely and we did not have to open the walls again. He also secured the electrical box opening and sealed other vulnerable areas around our house using quality materials. At no point did we feel upsold or pressured. He truly put us first. There is no one else I would rather call for rodent or wildlife issues. Tony has both Wildlife Support's recommendation and my full stamp of approval.

The screenshots will speak for itself. I made this update same day late afternoon. This should had been the end of this particular review: short and concise. Then mere hours after posting this update a second stream of Venmo rants began in rapid succession at 10:30 PM. This time he finally remembered me as a client when this was not so in his original statement. He sneakily revised his original rebuttal to saying he remembers me but still attempted to defame me a 2ND time. I did check this page after dinner around 8-9pm. At the time it was still the original derogatory and dismissive comment. By the time I came back to update the second Venmo rant, the comment thread had grown from the original 13 posts to the even more aggressive 87 messages. Tim. I paid you close to 5k for all the jobs done, tipped you for the work (which you acknowledged and was not part of the 5k I already counted for. +tip that would inflate the actually payment to 5.5k before Venmo because I tipped you twice for two separate jobs), got you lunch & dinner, and paid all the jobs done UPFRONT. And the $500 Venmo advance payment towards that future job for your tough time was apparently worth nothing judging by your Venmo posts. I can't say any other professionals I hired ever got this level of consideration. I did everything I could as a good client, but you were the one who chose not to act until Yelp gave you trouble. I made multiple attempts to work with you on scheduling but you did nothing. So I exercised my right as a client to post this factual, genuine review about your business practices. In response, you feigned ignorance, called me fake, and tried to ruin my credibility not just once, but twice. Then you escalated to threats and insults against me and my family members in the Venmo thread, with two separate outbursts (one in the morning and one at night).
