I had Fencepro replace part of my fence and retaining wall in 2010…read more I never got any type of warranty from them and after 6-7 years the fence/retaining wall started to lean. When I called and left a message a receptionist replied back that there should have been a warranty. There wasn't any with the original contract that we signed. I recently called them up and mentioned the I did not know about the 10 year warranty and it's now 15 years later. I spoke with Fencepro owner and he told me that even if I had a warranty it was the material that went bad. Since I hired another contractor and who incidentally just had finished a similar fence on the other side of our house that has both a fence and a longer retaining wall which lasted more than 30 years. It was built with some thought and ingenuity that FencePro lacks. They put in a simple system to drain the water to the street and put plastic on the posts just above and below ground to help protect the wood. They realize that wood easily rots when they get wet! When they removed the posts there was minimal wear on the 30 year old posts. On the side Fencepro did, the wood was completely rotten since no other measures were were take to insure its longevity. They may do a job quickly, but I believe they lack expertise in building quality retaining walls. I recommend that you find someone who ismore qualified, and is quality conscienous that knows how to build and make a lasting retaining wall! Below are my pictures. Judge for yourself!

Cannot complement the five man crew on the job highly enough, at least 10 stars. Crew arrived as scheduled and immediately started work, some setting up others removing the old fence, each man knew his job. Even working in a 5 X 40ft space they preformed like a professional team each man moving and working without getting in each others way, at the end of the day cleanup with brooms and blower. Fair price and a discount, however given some of the difficulties, old concrete and moving dirt, this was a bargain.

We couldn't have gone through it without Elias' guidance and support throughout. His professionalism, positive attitude, listening skills and focus on cultivating long term relationships is what makes Elias trustworthy and a joy to work with. Furthermore, his training and experience as an engineer enables him to propose practical, elegant solutions to common design problems which is very helpful. These attributes are reflected in the EHJ crew - Roger, George, Moses, Hector are all nice, helpful people and good at what they do. The EHJ team continues to be a great resource for us even after the completion of the project, promptly answering our questions, providing suggestions/vendor referrals and helping us with small house projects. We would recommend EHJ in a heartbeat to anyone considering a construction project of any size for their home.

I explained to him that I was i was building/ donating an outdoor kitchen at a middle school in Marin County. Julio called the owner of Fox Structural and asked what they could do to help. They ALL sprang into action. Julio had a consultation with me, and we devised a plan. Brandon Fox donated 100s of $$$ of supplies, as well as sent Jose his employee for 14.5 HOURS!!! Jose was awesome. He worked so hard in the hot sun all day, until 10:30 at night. He had a smile on his face the entire time! Julio built counters and tables off site and had them ready in 24 hours. All of their work was top notch!!! I need to give FOX STRUCTURAL AND TERMITE CONTROL a HUGE THANKS!!! The entire company came through and we could not have built it without them!!! He was remarkably flexible and personable throughout the job, allowing us to delay decisions so that he could mock up visual options along the way. We have since had numerous compliments on our gorgeous new fence :-) We also were very happy with the price, which was almost identical to two other very reputable fence builders.

Scott's was the lowest of the 3 quotes so we hired him. He did an amazing job. The fence looks terrific, and the retaining wall looks extremely strong, exactly what we needed to make sure the fence will last many years. The cost ended up being around 6-7% higher than the estimate, but he warned us about that ahead of time, and it was because of legitimate uncertainty about how much retaining wall he would need to build, not really knowing until he started the work. He's friendly and a pleasure to deal with. Highly recommended! We did have to wait about a month between signing the agreement and paying deposits, until he could do the work, but I don't think that's unusual and we weren't in a rush.

I previously posted a five star review for this company. Sadly,I need to update my review and let…read moreyou guys know what a rip off this company really is. We hired them to get rid of some rodents, my son heard them in his bedroom wall.Otis just sealed off the furnace room which is right next to my son's The rats came back, and when Otis came out and looked at the traps, they were untouched, so clearly the rats were not getting in from the place that they charged us thousands of dollars to seal. The next thing they did was charge several more thousands of dollars to seal up holes that they thought they saw from underneath the house. i'm guessing we spent probably $4000 or $5000 by this time. This did not solve the problem. I called them back again, Otis came out again, and this time he said that they were jumping on the roof and that we should cut the trees back. We did so. Otis looked on the roof and sealed up anything he could find. But this did not solve the problem. My son continuously reported to me that he kept hearing the rats in his wall. When I would tell this company this situation, they would say oh we don't open walls. Well, if they don't open walls, why did they keep looking at other places when that's where my son reported hearing them? They weren't coming in from the furnace room which cost us thousands of dollars. They weren't coming in from the roof which also cost us thousands of dollars. They weren't coming in from under the house, which cost us several more thousands of dollars. And guess what the rats are still there. I contacted the company yet again, why I have no idea since they clearly can't fix the problem, but I wanted to get them the benefit of the doubt. This time, they had the audacity to say, will seal it up and will guarantee it and it'll be perfect and it'll cost you another $2250 I contacted them and said you guys said it would be perfect and wonderful and sealed up before, the last three times I hired you and Mark laughed and said oh you know we don't open walls. He actually laughed, incredible. They seem to think I would actually hire them again. I'm considering small claims court. In any event folks, save yourselves a lot of grief, and don't hire this company under any circumstances. I have a feeling some of the other five star reviews were relatives of theirs, trying to help them get their rip off business on wheels.
