If i could give them 10 stars I would. I walked in and had no idea what i needed but they took the time to walk through everything with me. After an absolute terrible experience at East county bait and tackle , Anglers Arsenal was a pleasant experience! I got exactly what I needed and caught the exact fish I wanted!!! Thank you! I will most definitely be a regular loyal customer! read more

I came in to this shop and was immediately greeted with a very warm welcome and a big smile. It's a nice shop if you forget anything you can just pop in and get what you need. I got a decent amount of baits and was expecting my total to be 40 dollars instead of being 40 it was 27 which for fishing gear is awesome. I love supporting my local mom and pop shops. I will definitely be coming back. read more

I arrived before opening and the owner (John?) was so kind to open for me. I had driven three hours from LA to go fishing in San Diego and packed everything except my rods. He helped me pick a rod and gave suggestions for bait and lures. Great place to shop! I highly recommend Angler's Arsenal. read more

The owner is such a great, nice, and super knowledgeable person. He spent a lot of time helping me. I had many questions. He's very helpful and doesn't try to sell you anything which is nice. The vibe of the place is amazing, they make many reactive plastics there, truly their own factory, which makes their prices SO much CHEAPER than places like Walmart, etc! read more

Always friendly, welcoming(greeted with a handshake and pleasantries everytime I go), knowledgeable & patient! I only wish I was able to fish more so I'd get to go back more often. 1000 times better than the goobers down the street. read more

Shopping at Angler's Arsenal is the best experience I ever had at a bait & fishing tackle shop and quite possibly one of the best customer service experiences I ever encountered at ANY business! John Jr. and Jon the father and son combo who run Angler's Arsenal and Western Plastics (the company name for their custom plastic lures) are stand-up guys! I came in to Angler's Arsenal this weekend after having a disappointing day at one of the local lakes. I came here in search of some professional fishing guidance and some tackle suggestions. What I received from Jon was on point: * Friendly and more than willing to help answer my questions. * No short answers nor quick 'Yes' responses I've encountered at many other tackle shops. * In depth description of their custom-made plastics (Western Plastics). * Suggestions on bait that is working and how to work them. * I learned that they sell individual plastics which means you can buy onesies and twosies of 4" straight tail worms, 6" curly tail worms, 9" fat worms, 3" craw daddies, 3" flukes, 5" flukes, small frogs, large frogs, etc. etc. in several color and pattern choices! (This is great because you no longer need to purchase full packs of plastic bait and you can 'sample' various items until you find what you like and what works best at your fishing hole!). I will absolutely be coming back to Angler's Arsenal for most, if not all of my fishing gear needs! Because of my incredible experience this weekend at the shop I will be telling all my friends about how great this place is and recommend they come see John and Jon to get great tackle, excellent service and fishing tips. read more

Came in today in need of fixing the eye on one of my ugly stick poles. John the owner is such a sweetie pie. He advised us he has a guy that picks them up on Friday and delivers on Friday. It is a long wait but worth it. This place looks much larger than it does from the outside. They also have air conditioning inside. I would recommend this place! Just make sure to remember they close at 5pm read more

Went in here today to be greeted by John. He is enthusiastic and very willing to talk to you about any questions, recommendations or just the local fishing. I was really appreciative of the time that John spent with me. I first mentioned that I was just window shopping, but that didn't mean anything and it still didn't take away from the time that was spent on helping me select and match my perfect rod with a perfect reel. Wish the store was a little bigger, but I guess that's a good thing too because it's straight to the point. read more

This is hands down the best fishing store EVER . Not jest because it's a fishing store but John the owner is the best. i'm paying cash that I broke my back getting so I expect to be treated the way John treats people and he doesn't do it because you're spending your money there its because John is genuinely a good hearted person. And the knowledge is priceless and given happily without making you feel stupid for not knowing something and the prices have to be the most fair I've ever seen for good gear. And if something breaks John and his staff will take care of the warranty with whomever the company or brand is that you bought it from for you read more

It's just like the other reviewers say, it's a great place to get attitude-free advice and the guys are nice as can be and it comes across as very genuine. I had them spool up 3 good sized reels and replace a broken rod tip and I'm very satisfied with the price and the experience. I wasn't really sure what I wanted the reels spooled with and (I don't remember his name but it's not the owner) was really helpful and even saved me some money. I was planning to remove the braid off two of the reels as they were bought second hand and I wasn't sure how good the braid was but he inspected it and said it looks great and to save my money and just put a top shot on. Honesty like that is pretty hard to come by! I'm glad I tried this place (due to the yelp reviews) and I'll be coming back here anytime I have the need. Thanks guys! read more

I have used them many times. Last week I ordered a Seeker 6470 rush shipping for my Dads Birthday. Shipping went from free on the website to$7.00 to $30.00. The Rod never came so I called and they said they will get it right to me. It took 8 days not overnight needless to say I didn't have it for my Dad's Birthday. I then Asked Angler's Arsenal to refund my shipping and get me the rod. The rod that came in and it was the wrong rod. I called back and they said it was seeker and he would follow up with it. I then told I would even buy the wrong rod if he would give me a deal on it. He said no and Seeker was looking into what was going on. I had to call him again and ask what was going on he said he gave seeker the wrong # so he was sorry. I said it was ok just take off the shipping and send the rod. He would not I then got in touch with seeker. What nice guys they said they would help me and sorry for Angler's Arsenal and that they will talk to them. They also said the rod should of got to me the next day with out the $30.00 charge they were also sorry about that. I had to go to my bank to get my money back and seeker is picking up the wrong rod that was sent to me. This is what Angler's Arsenal had the nerve to write me after 2 weeks of them saying they wouldn't refund all of amount I paid. Hi again Joe, So let me get this straight. You say Seeker is sending a ups tag tor you so you can return the rod. Great. Angler's Arsenal was going to reverse the charge we made on your credit card. Are you now saying that you have talked with your bank and they are going to refund you the entire amount. What are you thinking? Did you think we would not issue you your complete credit? Angler's Arsenal will run your credit. Please advise your bank there is no need for them to refund you anything. I will wait till I hear back from you. Now remember, we were going to send you out that G6470-7 for the complete price we charge you. I hope you can come close to matching that price if you do desire that rod model and purchase it somewhere else. Thank you for keeping in touch Joe Good fishing John Angler's Arsenal So I now use tacklefishing.com and they have better prices on some seekers or are about the same. They are so nice! Joe United States Army I'll have a call tag sent out to you right away and the rod will be picked up. Just for the record, it wasn't our intention to leave you hanging with the freight bill. As a matter of fact, I would not have sent it out overnight or priority because it should in nearly all cases been delivered the next day via ground service. Additionally, had I been aware of the issue on the front end, I would have made sure that I delivered it to you personally so that you could have the rod in time. I apologize for that one too. It really boils down to the fact that John made a number of mistakes in this transaction and I will discuss it with him. He should have refunded your freight regardless of whether we refunded it to him. Regardless, I promise to make sure that the rod is picked up from you. I hope that in the future you are able to give Seeker another try. Thank you Joe for your patience and communication with me. UPS will likely send the call tag out to you in the mail with instructions on how to get the package picked up. Thanks again! Sincerely, Darin J. Dohi General Manager, Seeker Fishing read more

My experience with Angler's Arsenal was amazing. I went in to have 2 hooks replaced on an old swim bait found in my garage. I think it was Chuck behind the counter who helped me(sorry if I get the name wrong). He found the hooks I needed and offered to put them on the lure. He could have just done that and I would have been happy. Instead he went the extra mile and gave the lure a thorough run through and made sure every fin was intact and put some extra glue on spots that needed it. It didn't stop there. After completing the sale, he gave advice on different retrieves I could use for the type of fish I was going for. I will definitely return to Angler's Arsenal for any future tackle needs. They have amazing customer service and strive for satisfaction. read more
