I…read morecalled so many numbers, from online, handyman referrals, books, cards, etc. Handyman 101 was the only one that bothered to return my call. However, they advised me they were booked until after the new year. I settled in to having to wait a couple months longer. Much to surprise, I was called a couple of days ago, and told they had a handyman that could fit me into his schedule. I hoped I was getting a good one, as he was going to be cutting a hole in my outside wall. Well I had nothing to worry about, as Michael did an outstanding job. I could not ask for better. It ran over the time a bit, but there were a few unforeseen complications, which is always par for the course on many projects. Also, I never took the dog door kit out of the box from the company I ordered it from. That was my bad, because I had a long discussion with the representative when purchasing it. It was about the height I needed to order. She insisted I needed a larger one from the the measurements of my largest dog, than what I was planning to order. It turned out to be much larger than I needed/wanted. It took Michael some creative cutting off of trim on the outside wall to make look okay, along with moving things within the wall that were in the way when cutting through. It looks and works perfect and the dogs and I are very happy that it is completed! Thank you, Michael, and Handyman 101!

His prices were very reasonable and I really liked how he did my windows the right way so I hired him for that job too. My siding came out beautiful. Nothing about my house is standard and he was able to take flaws and make them less noticeable. He even had some suggestions for some unique ideas that gave a bit of artistic flair to my home that made the outcome even more beautiful. The bathroom had the most awful, early 80's, peach colored shower enclosure, I could not live with - and the counter was much too short. The backyard had a large lawn and a small deck - it was crying out for a more useful space for entertaining. My street generates a lot of traffic noise and I needed something to help reduce it. I also wanted an attractive trash/recycling bin deck, close to the street, for convenience. I looked for reviews and Emerald Valley Home Repair popped up. I like licenses and BBB ratings - Ted has them. He was professional in his walk through and intelligent, creative and confident with his advice and ideas - that he quickly put me to ease with his clear rapport I chose Ted Colee. My new larger kitchen space includes my necessary dishwasher and a couple new cabinets and sparkles with quartz counter tops throughout. He also replaced the lighting. The bathroom shower panels were removed and replaced with new bright white tiles. The deck steps down to a circular stone patio that allows for more entertaining and several large potted plants. I worked with Ted on ideas for the front driveway and we came up with a spectacular walled in - shingled and planter deck. It looks fantastic and provides more privacy in my front yard and most importantly, has reduced the road noise. The shingled trash/recycling/green-waste bin deck has a drop down ramp gate: So convenient! This was a series of jobs that effectively have turned this house into my home. Knowledge, skill, dependability, trust and respect are all vital in building that working relationship and creativity and flexibility complete the package.
