Nice portion of Hot & Sour soup. Would have loved more mushrooms and bamboo shoots. Wine and beer only but good, cold beer. Friendly staff. Biggest bummer is almost every booth has huge tears in the seating. Was afraid I'd snag my $100 leggings...also not very hygienic. I just tried the pho, and based on the reviews I thought it would be atleast somewhat decent. Unfortunately this is probably the worst pho I have ever had in my life "literally." I asked how long the pho was cooked for and the waitress said 2 hours. Pho needs to be based for a minimum of 7 hours before serving otherwise it will taste bland. Probably will give this place a second chance because the service was good. But for now I'm very disappointed. read more

Went here because Gold Fish was too busy (as usual) and I was pleasantly surprised. The large variation of cuisine ( Cambodian, Thai, Vietnamese, Chinese) was intimidating at first but everything we ordered was good. After spending over $70 in food I was barely able to feed 3 kids w the portions that were delivered to my home. I was told this restaurant is very good and the food is very flavorful. This was my first time ordering from here. I was just sooooo disappointed in the portion size. I ended up having to fry more rice and added the rice purchased. I am a vegetarian so eating out has to be strategic. I wanted something with noodles so I went to Angkor. The lady that helped was very pleasant. She told me she could make my Pho with tofu instead of meat. The broth was delicious and the serving lasted me for 2 days. Honestly it was just passable in my opinion but I hate pho so i didn't have that but their vegetables are good but the meat wasn't really that good. Their menu is large so I'm sure everyone would find something they want. Delicious! My Chinese from Cambodia husband took me here, and it was pretty great. Food is good . Portions are small for the price . And be careful when paying with card. My total was $51 , checked my bank before i left the place and it said they charged me $62.09 . And owner was acting confused showing me the receipt saying my bank over charged me . Saying this happened to someone else it's my bank fault . so i Called my bank they said that's the amount the restaurant charged me for so they must of added a tip. Walked in very close to the closing time of 10 pm last evening. The reason I landed up here was because it was too late to go to my other AV favorite Chinese place---Great wall. Now past month or so I decided I would eat ONLY healthy--- dishes with plenty of freshly sautéed/ stir fried veggies. Chinese and Thai I believe are the two cuisines which have the potential to offer delicious food which can also be super healthy. Cool combo huh? Of course one has to choose diligently, lest we end up ordering fried rice or Noodles which are dripping with oil and overflowing with salt---- as some fast food Chinese are notorious for ;) Anyway at 9.30 PM I started craving Chinese food and found on Google/ yelp that that Angkor was the only Asian restaurant open until 10 pm. I was craving Chinese food so hard that I didn't think twice but made a bee line for Angkor, which Id never heard of b4. I landed there at 9.52 pm. The waitress there was kind enough to let me in and eat there even though it was almost closing time. I couldn't believe when she nodded when asked if I could eat there. Yes!!!!!! I would get the food I was craving! I had read on yelp ( in a brief glance) that some reviewers had praised their Kung pao chicken. Being Kung Pow LOVER ( no pun intended he he) that's the dish I ordered ( but with minimum expectations). I had read somewhere NO ONE IS UGLY AFTER 2 AM! Similarly any Chinese would do at this time--- 10 pm---- in good old desert called Antelope Valley. But I had no clue whatsoever how yummy the food would be that was to come few minutes later. It has been said all cats are grey in the dark, and all food tasty when we are hungry ;) Well this was certainly no grey cat! First of all the sight of the portion shocked me ( pleasantly sillies!) It was huge! Besides there was awful lot of veggies in the entrée. The meat was cooked to perfection and the flavor was lip smacking. it was a BOMB! I was as it is famished and remember I was craving to put my snout in some Chinese food. And here I was having super tasty mountain of Chinese food served to me in Antelope Valley at 10 pm! And boy I ate. and I ate and I ate. it was easily the BEST Chinese meal I have ever had in antelope valley! Guys trust me, it was fantabulous! Maybe I was exceedingly hungry. But I guess it was the tasty food that bowled me ovah! I must also mention how kind and courteous the Asian waitress Amy was. She was absolutely amazing. She watched me patiently devour the pile of food she had served, In about 15 minutes (chomping) time the giant pile of food was totally demolished. Not only was the dish super yummy but also the fried rice which is served (complimentary!) with it is extremely tasty. I cannot wait to go back to this hidden GEM! read more
