Emergency flashers on. Slowed down from 70. To 60 then 50. Tap the brake don't freak. It's ok. Hold on. Tap the brake again. Ease off the road. Keep it on the shoulder. Slow down. Slow down. Ok. Stopped. Put it in park. Breath. Dep Brest. Call 911. HELPPPPP!!!!!!! Body shaking. Fear rising. Louisiana states finest. On its way. Tire tool wrong size. Can't change the tire. Tow truck on way. Still shaking. Towed to the nastiest motel the baymont in Lafayette. Homeless haven. Check in. That was my night. The next morning. I called the hero's. Sweet man didn't mind my Cali gen at 7 am. Said they would get some one out with in the hour. And they did. The sweetest cutest young man by the name of Chance came to my rescue. He was up and under my truck seeing if he could get the spare down No such luck. But he brought me a tire. And watching him work with such professionalism and speed. Reminded me of my dad. Who weed tires. His hands were the hands of a hard working man. His entire deamor and manner was charm polite kind and empathetic. He gave me his card and said if I ever needed help no matter the time or day. To call. They would come to me. No matter where I was in the area. I felt as if I was finally safe and it reminded me of the service calls I used to go out on with my dad. And as a 60 year old female. That memory was worth the wait. Thank you. Started searching locally for tire business' sales employees to discuss wheels and tires sales and find a combination that best fits my need. My idea was function before form. Honestly form was dead last. With an exception of Width. Width, speed rating, load rating, dry traction are the main concerns. These were explained to every tire shop I stopped at. Stopped by TT today. Started an financing app, decided it was best not to finish it. Stopped by the shop. The owner wrote up a quote very fast, with not much discussion on what I wanted/was looking for. $3700 for 4 wheels and tires. I would urge everyone make a cash offer and not accept double cost. I provided the quote from another shop also. That shops quote was 2100$. I will be avoiding this business. I mentioned to the business owner his quote was double. With a blank star he said yep, and I walked.

There were THREE tire shops in small Winnie TX while I was there, and L&G was open the latest. Winner winner chicken dinner. I rolled up, an older dude out front motions to me to pull directly into one of the bays, and a kid (young dude) gets to work on my vehicle immediately. #winning I showed him the rock that somehow got lodged between my rim and tire, and he takes care of it in a hurry. Tire appears to hold air, but he quickly soaps down the treads as well when I ask, just in case. Wheel goes back on and he cheerfully puts my spare back in its home afterward. Last but not least, I go to pull out my wallet to pay. He waves me off - you're good, he says. What? You're good. Why? Because it didn't have a hole and didn't need to be plugged? Yep. You sure??
