Fast forward to today. My husband ran over something large and hard at 70 mph. Hit was so hard it popped the needle off of the speedometer in the dash. Managed to get it into see Joshua. Wasn't good news but he gave me 2 options. First was the minimum that needed to be done. Second was an additional item that really should be done. All said and done, more than I wanted to spend but I still feel he was very fair in his pricing. Been driving the van for a few days now and am very happy with the results. Plus, I have the peace of mind knowing I won't be chewing up my tires every few thousand miles. Just as a side note. I did research Cortez Car Care and discovered something amazing. They have been members of the BBB for 23 yrs this year and have not had one single complaint lodged against them in all that time. In any auto related field, especially repair/maintenance, that is a record to be very proud of. They are professional, keep you informed every step of the way, do great work, for a fair price, stand behind their work, and most of all are honest. I have spoken with the owner more than once, as it is family owned, and he is usually there. But one time that I spoke with him that stood out to me that they were different. My stepson's power steering stopped working. I called and I was about to have it towed in as it was parked at a restaurant. The owner got on the phone with me and asked me what year and model the car was. I told him, he asked me if the car had driven through any heavy puddles. I told him it had been raining, so I assumed so. He told me that model is notorious for the sensors getting wet and causing issues with the rack and pinion steering. He said, let it sit for a couple hours and dry out a bit. It should resolve the problem, and it did. He didn't have to tell me that. He could've let me have it towed in and just let it sit and dry and tell me he fixed it and taken me for a ride, but he didn't. That's honesty. I highly recommend this place to all my friends and family, and to anyone else who reads this review.

I've used them a couple of times because I've liked the ones in Dallas so well. It seems like every time I take my car here there is a new problem. The last time I took my car there, the car began to have a new problem immediately. This time, I took it to a new mechanic. He said the last people who worked on my car damaged it. They cut corners. In the process of taking my car apart they broke an eight dollar part and didn't replace it. Because I drove my car with the broken part, I bent the CV axle resulting in a $460 repair. I was just happy my wheel didn't come off on the highway. Not wanting to get into a, he said/she said between the two mechanics I didn't even bother reporting the problem. I won't take my car back there. Why pay premium prices if you are not getting premium service? Why give them another chance to damage my car? Would I use Christian Brothers again? Not the one in Beaumont. Then when another issue popped up within a day of collecting the car, they decided to fix the additional problems (which were not caused by them, but they'd missed in their initial inspection) for free--no additional cost to me. They were also happy to drive me home from the mechanic shop when I dropped the car off, and later pick me up and bring me back to collect my car. Excellent, friendly service. Highly recommend.

Because my transmission had went out . All makes used ideal transmission 2 Rebuild my transmission. Once they got it back From ideal transmission. All makes reinstalled it .Drove it for A-day , had to bring it back to all makes because the transmission had went out .all makes took Trans out sent it back over to ideal transmission for repairs. solenoids went out so they replaced them .All makes reinstalled trans. I went to pick up my truck when it was ready at all makes, not long after. I picked it up transmission went out again. This time it was the torque converter And the pump gone out. Ideal transmission Replaced parts . Sent it back over to all makes ,they reinstalled it. I drove it for a little while about a month and transmission went out again. This time ideal transmission said they wanted the whole truck at their place, to see what is causing it to keep going out. I was out shopping when I got a phone call from Terry letting me know that The torque converter in the transmission was out . that it will cost me $1501.00 . I said oh no I'm not going to pay another penny . I asked her why is it that amount terry said its because they were not the ones who did the R&R labor , which is pulling out and putting in. I said That all makes said that you all wanted the whole truck there. To possibly see what was going on and repair it. When I said I'm not going to pay another penny .. Terry told me that she is going to have her mechanic guy stop working on it and not going to put tran back inside the truck because they had already pulled it out .I said OK that is fine all makes said they have no problem putting it back in. because I paid them the r&r but what was the reason asking for the whole truck if u are going to half as do the work .Ideal transmission ask for the whole truck. terry said they will replace the torque Converter And all makes would just have to put the transmission back .She says she would put transmission in the back of the truck and call All makes to come pick truck. Ideal transmission put the transmission in the front of my truck on the passenger side And put the torque converter behind the passenger seat With fluid still inside the torque converter. I did ask mark what could be causing the transmission to continue going out he said that all makes was putting it in wrong . that they kept busting the pump And vice versa With all makes mechanic shop. Mark said it could be the Fly wheeISo I replaced Fly wheel brand New also the transmission mount Was replaced So when my truck got back to all makes they installed the transmission. I drove it down the street and it went out again and I had enough I said I would not spend Any more money. And I wind up picking up my truck . I brought it to Ed's transmission they cost me $500 to get my truck back . Eds said that 4th and 5th gear is out the pump was good and torque converter was good but As you can see it was just one thing after another I talked to several shops and several people and they told me that ideal should have just tried another transmission but but unfortunately that was never done so here I ended up taking my truck elsewhere And having it repaired.. This is my experience with ideal transmission I could never enjoy my truck because the transmission kept breaking down Because of one thing after another ... All my tires were perfectly fine. They were trying to charge me almost $1800 to get new tires, a front and back alignment, and an oil change!! so women, i would NOT recommend this place. they will try to rip you off, lie to you, and overcharge like crazy!!
