We have a trip to Houston tomorrow to go to a specialist, and with us only having one vehicle at present, it was certainly a pleasure to work with some real pros!! I'm surprised to see such a low rating for this place. I have been bringing my cars here for years and have only had one minor issue, which was promptly fixed. There have been manager changes several times over the years but most seem to work hard for their customers. I like the change they recently made, which is by appointment only. read more

If you have a beater and you don't care about nicks and scratches after replacing your tires, this is the place to go. The staff is friendly and willing to help, but recently I had a bad experience that I will never visit this place again. I replaced two tires on my car and the mechanic scratched and damaged both wheels. They also stained the door handle and interior upholstery with grease. This is very disappointing because after all the effort taking care of my car, a careless mechanic ruins it in a matter of seconds. Called twice last week to get quote on oil change with 7 quarts. Kathy quoted $36.50 without tax on both calls so I scheduled an appointment after calling back to verify the amount. When I went in for the scheduled oil change the man at the counter told me it was not $36.50 because they had to charge a "shop fee". Funny how Kathy NEVER mentioned a "shop fee" on the phone last week. He was also up selling me on synthetic oil when my car manufacturer recommends conventional oil. There were NO cars being worked on when we arrived. Guess they think women are stupid, especially after calling twice last week to get a quote then schedule an appointment. I will not return to Goodyear in the future. read more

I like Goodyear. But when you get here early on Saturday morning to get the tires you purchased here rotated and balanced you should not have to listen to the gentleman at the counter explain to you for 5 minutes that he is extremely booked today and "if" his appointments show up I will be put behind them. A rotate and balance on any car is a fifteen minute job. We are now coming up on being open for 45 minutes- not only is my vehicle not done. I am one of only two custers here. The second Customer is getting her oil changed. The. Same gentleman just came out and told her he was out of 5w30 motor oil and would be happy to upgrade her to a synthetic blend and .... Wait for it.... Offer her a discount off of the synthetic oil change price. He should have offered it for the same price as she was originally quoted. It is now 8:20 I am still here and the first "appointment" just showed up. Sorry gentlemen you are failing in the customer service area. Update: 8:27 am time to rotate and balance one hour. Do NOT take your car here! They advertise cheap oil changes so they can "diagnose" other problems they say you might have and shake you down for hundreds of dollars worth of unnecessary repairs. They try to use scare tactics and make you think your car is going to fall apart as you're driving out of there. I had an appt at 10:00 AM and they made me sit for TWO HOURS! All I wanted was a simple oil change. When I told the salesman I didn't need the almost $800 worth of repairs he insisted I needed, they got mad and treated me terrible. I heard them trying to shake down every single person who came in there, including an old woman who told them she couldn't afford all the repairs and they tried to pressure her into opening a Goodyear account to pay for it! She was in tears! NEVER, NEVER, NEVER again will I darken the door of that or any other Goodyear if I don't know who I'm dealing with. My son-in-law works for a Goodyear store in Oklahoma and I know for a fact that they're honest and don't try this kind of stuff. SHAME ON YOU, GOODYEAR!!!!! read more

The overturn rate on managers and employees is horrible. Which in turn causes very very poor customer service. Wait times are horrendous , and customers stand at the service desk while the phone is ringing off the wall and not being answered because the one manager or service writer is on the phone. As well as customers who are there waiting to be serviced that have money in hand have to wait until the manager or service writer can find time to deal with them. It's mass chaos!! STAY AWAY FORM THIS PLACE. Goodyear needs to do something quick!! read more

I've gone to this Goodyear quite a few times. The first time was for tires and only tires- I wound up having my AC serviced and some other things. Then over time, I would need repairs and go to them because of the Goodyear card. I wasn't smart enough to see it but they do seem to 'diagnose' all sorts of problems every time you visit to rack up the bill. This last time, I went in for an AC diagnostic- $35.00 (I called ahead of time) and if any refrigerant was needed it would be $20.00 per pound and most vehicles only need about 1 pound. I got up there, my car was 2+ low on refrigerant. The dye they put in my car before was almost gone apparently. And now my car had to have a vacuum put on it to 'remove moisture'. The total cost $130.00+ . I said I didn't have the money, please just put the refrigerant into the car, he told me it wouldn't cool then- that I HAD to have the vacuum thing done. Panicking I said fine to do it, he added a coupon and knocked my price down to about $120.00. After leaving- I started thinking about it, I have never heard of a car needing the AC system 'vacuumed' to remove moisture- and that if it wasn't done a car wouldn't cool. I honestly believe this place scams people. I seen a lady go in for a tune-up while I was there. Only a tune-up. While she was there, they were telling her that some very pricey things were malfunctioning and she needed them changed right away. She was telling the man, that she only came in for a tuneup and were they going to pay for the additional work because all she wanted was the tune up. Now after reading the other comment about 'shaking you down' and thinking about my past experiences- I must say, this place isn't very honest. read more

My son brought our vehicle in because it was smoking a little and this place was the only one who could see him immediately. They seriously took advantage of him. Said he had an oil leak, because of a valve cover gasket, but it wasn't very serious. They diagnosed, repaired and charged him accordingly. A few days later, called him to come get his vehicle, as it was ready to go. They told him to drive under the speed limit cause all the oil under the vehicle could get hot and catch fire. They didn't even bother to clean all the excess oil after they had supposedly fixed the car. (We found out later the vehicle was completely unsafe to be driven). He drove ten minutes down the road at 11 pm at night and the car died on him ON TOP OF AN OVERPASS. Thankfully, he got safely down and into the grass and had to have his vehicle towed back to the shop the next day. They keep the vehicle another few days, clean the excess oil and then tell him he has a cracked head, which they couldn't see before, because of all the oil that was underneath the car. To make a long story short and to make my point, our vehicle was driven into their shop because of a little smoke and we had to tow our vehicle out of their shop. It's now non-running, non-starting and leaking oil and transmission fluid. We've been dealing with them for almost a month now and so far, no one sees any type of problem here. So far, no one we've dealt with has any type of business attitude. Their attitudes STINK. I don't see how these people are allowed to keep their jobs. I will be making a list of complaints with Goodyear as well. DO NOT and I mean DO NOT let these people work on your vehicles. And please DO NOT allow your children to take their vehicles to them. I live 2 hours away from Beaumont and can still remember my son calling me to tell me what happened to him on top of that overpass, knowing what could've happened to him, trying to coast that vehicle down the overpass with no power. And to think, this shop allowed him to get into that vehicle and drive off, knowing it was unsafe for him to drive, without a second thought for his safety. When my husband asked the Manager if he would've allowed one of his own children to get in that car and drive it home, he simply stated no. When asked why he would allow someone else's child to get in that car and drive it home, he had no response. I had to click one star, but if it was my choice, I wouldn't have clicked any. read more
