If I could give less stars I would. Mass chaos nothing even remotely relaxing about this place first if all. Asked the prices up front, when I went to pay I was charged substantially more, reason I was given is that they charge for polish removal, cutting your nails, more for polishes with different colored caps (not gel, just different brands) so basically you pay for the word pedicure and then the parts of the actual pedicure are ala cart? The pedicure it self was a joke, they scrubbed my feet with dial hand soap, used an awful stinky lotion, the water was ICE COLD and I said this, multiple times...my toes look like a toddler painted them, they're absolutely atrocious. No grater no pumice nothing. It was just absolutely AWFUL will never return. I just paid to have what appears to be a child paint my nails poorly to truly put this in perspective, I was in and out in less than 20 minutes for a $40+ toe job. read more

I signed up for Yelp specifically to share my experience at this business. In a word (or two): not good. I have been here a handful of times, and know what to expect. I'm not anticipating a luxurious, spa-like experience, just a standard mani/pedi. However, my last visit (as in my most recent and most definitely my final visit) left a lot to be desired. I had one of the male nail techs, and he took me to a manicure station and started the service. No soaking at any point in the process. After trimming my cuticles, he stopped and directed me to a pedicure chair, at which point I soaked my feet in some lukewarm water for approximately two minutes. Then he started the pedicure, and when he started trimming my cuticles he cut my skin to the point where it was bleeding and stinging. I got a half-hearted "sorry" and he kept going. I had to ask him twice to stop trimming, as it was painful and possibly unhealthy. He took approximately 60 seconds to put on the polish and then it was back to the manicure station to finish up, and hee wasn't pleased when I asked for an extra coat because the color was much lighter than it appeared in the bottle. When it came time to check out, he offered no additional apology and made no effort to make it right. I paid $65, including a 20% tip (which he did not deserve) and went straight to Rite Aid to buy various antibacterial products to try to prevent an infection. Another $20 made this a very poor $85 experience. Furthermore, the next morning, the gel polish was already peeling off one of my fingers. Completely unacceptable, so I returned and requested that they fix it (which they did). Instead of the standard 10-14 days, my manicure lasted a week and then I had to remove it due to multiple nails peeling. My advice: stay away. read more

Horrible! Do not go here for a pedicure. By far the quickest & sloppiest pedicure I have ever gotten. 15 minutes in total, definitely not worth $30. A pedicure is supposed to be relaxing, the worker was very rushed and also painfully rough. When I asked to speak to a manager she did not care what so ever and was very rude. read more

The place was clean and not busy which was nice. I immediately got sat for my pedicure. The girl did a great job and didn't charge extra to remove a prior gel pedicure that I had. I really wish they had magazines or a tv so there would be something to do while sitting there. Overall I say definitely a good price and I will return. read more

Now I remember why I stopped going to this place a few years ago after being a loyal customer for well over 10 years (when the 3rd long time manicurist there left within a few months (big red flag!): unfriendly replacements, an owner who could no longer be bothered to say hello, and messy, rushed paint jobs.. A very messy mani about a year ago by a young fellow who seemed like he never learned the trade (I had a gift certificate that was running out which is why I tried it again), and a rushed pedi more recently by a more "seasoned" person (another gift certificate). During the pedi when I noticed she didn't put on a base coat she said "oh, polish stays longer without it." WHERE IN THE WORLD did she learn THAT?! So wrong. Just being cheap. Then when I handed her the gift card she came back without asking if I wanted to use it for tip. When I asked if I could use it as a tip she said "no, you should've asked before I penned in the leftover amount, I can't change it now." But 2 seconds later, she asked for the gift card back so SHE COULD CHANGE IT BC SHE FORGOT TO ADD THE $3 for the "better" polish. Btw, nowhere on the shelves did it indicate an up charge for the polish I chose. (The shelf below (Cyndi polishes) did state the up charge.) The previous reviewer was right--they'll nickel and dime you, AND do poor quality job on your nails. read more

LOOKING FOR NEW SALON! Come here every summer when I visit Pittsburgh. Very good manicure. But the shop has become very unfriendly. The young woman with black glasses that did my nails never acknowledged me. Never said hi or even made eye contact. Gave her a BIG tip and she didn't even smile. Looking for a new salon! read more

One of the worst experiences I have had in a salon. The owner was very distracted, spent her time socializing with another customer who was there to tan, showing her all types of differnt make ups and hair clips during my manicure. She actually got up several times from my manicure to show this friend of hers producst in the store. Um, hello. I'm here to get my nails done. The asians speak more to their customers than Melissa felt the need to do with me. I'm completely unimpressed by this small, cluttered, salon. I would suggest going somehwere else. read more

I booked an appointment for a mani/pedi for myself and my daughter in law. They took her back first so I did not know what happened until we left. She was placed in the pedicure chair.and soaked but a lady who came in after us complained that she wanted to be next. After the techs arguing they decided the later comer rates more than we do because they made my daughter in law get out of the water and sit in a chair to wait. By the time I came around the incident was over. Will never - never- go back. Maybe the old lady is a more regular customer but so what - my daughter in law was already in the water. BEWARE OF USING/BUYING GIFT CERTIFICATES AT ANGEL'S NAILS! I went to Angel's Nails on Freeport Road in O'Hara Township to redeem a gift certificate for a manicure. I was told that I owed more money for the service than the gift certificate was purchased for, because the prices went up. They would not honor the dollar amount of the service that the gift certificate was purchased. The person who was handling this situation was quite rude and started to speak loudly in another language to someone else across the room. This person came over to state the same information. If you buy a gift certificate for someone, please know that if the price of that service increases, then your recipient will be paying more! I am sure that if the price were to decrease, they would not refund the difference. Also, beware of the intense fumes of this establishment! Overwhelming and potentially harmful! read more

As my friend and I were out to get lunch, we decided to get our nails done. Googled some locations near by and read the reviews to decide what place we wanted to go. Came to Angels nail salon, had good reviews. When we got into the salon, it was crowded. Didn't wait too long to be helped. As I sat down, it felt as the technician was rushing. Wasn't careful buffing my nails or cutting then down. When she started to paint them she had told me a fill and shellac nail polish was going to be $45 total! Yes, $45 total for a fill and polish. I got my full set with shellac polish done for $40 the first time!! I was highly shocked by this price. I work in a corporate workplace where I take pride in what I look like and how I keep my nails done. To charge such a high price is ridiculous, let alone how she rushed the whole process. My friend had also paid over price! $35 for a manicure with shellac polish. I paid the $45, no tip and never again will I return or suggest this salon to anyone.
