The guys doing my nails was very rude, he did not listen to me when I told him what I wanted for the length of my nails. When he put on the dip nail over my tips, he didn't file the nail down so I was left with bumpy and uneven nails. He got the dip all over the side of my nails and my nails are uneven lengths. I LOVE my nails!!!! I wish I knew the guys name who did them. I can be a little particular when I get my nails done. I want them to look good. This guy was so efficient that you'd think the workmanship would be compromised, but they look great! He double checked the work through out the process and corrected anything amiss. By far the worse and most rushed nail experience I've ever had. I went in for a full set with dip powder which generally takes about an hour maybe a little less. Mine took 20 mins. He was calling other appointments in while doing my nails to see if they could come in earlier like he had something to do. My nails are not even, they're thick, and look like I have giant toe nails on my fingers. I asked for him to thin them out and make them even which he took 30 seconds doing. It was a lost cause and I can't believe he was happy with the end results and to think I paid $70 for it. Never again. read more

She takes her time, never touches the skin with the tools and creates a masterpiece. The shop is newly remodeled with a custom and modern color palette, very pleasing. I showed them a picture of what kind of nail design I wanted and they did an amazing job! I have gotten so many compliments on my nails so far and I am in love with them. Have been going there to have dip manicures & gel pedicures over the past year. I had heard that the "dip" method (which is more expensive) is better for your nails, instead of the gel method. Then suddenly my nails started to split, crack & break. My nails are basically trashed! I've since learned that they use a quick & brutal technique to get the old polish off. This technique involves using acetone soaked cotton balls on for just a few seconds, then using a small device with a spinning head that basically destroys the top layer of the nail. This weakens/thins the nail, rendering jagged breaks sometimes down to the quick. Other minor things annoyed me about the place. Upon entering, there is no receptionist or greeter. Everyone essentially ignores you, & you are left to wonder when they will get around to servicing you, since the appointed time has past. Often 15-30 minutes past the appointed time is when someone would finally say (without a polite greeting) you can sit over there......nodding in the general direction of the targeted spot. Then they get the wrong color & act as if it's my fault! I've had it with this place. read more

I've been coming to Angel Nails for years. It is very clean, has modern equipment and an extensive polish selection. They have regular, gel, and vinyl luxe polishes and also do acrylic sets. They also have eyebrow and lip waxing available. I always have an excellent service and my gel manicure lasts for 3 weeks! I've never had peeling or chipping. It can get extremely busy but they are always accommodating. The price is right, too. The only reason it loses a star for me is because services with Tony can be a little rough. He does a fantastic job polishing but can be harsh during massages and cuticle clipping. I nicely ask him to lighten up but it usually still hurts. Regardless, he does a stellar polish job so I leave satisfied. read more

I've had a lot of inconsistency here. Sometimes I love my nails, and sometimes the shape is so wonky and the polish is thick and goopy. $35 for an acrylic fill is far too much for them to look bad. I had a coffin shape. I asked her to trim my nails and reshape them. I had to ask her a second time to make them more pointed and coffin shape... these are not coffin. These are awful. read more

Terrible experience! I had a dip French manicure/ polish change on toes by Jessica and she is very rude and unprofessional. The French manicure was very sloppy and toenail polish had leftover polish on toes for 72 dollars I expected more than what I got. Jessica also cut me with her nail file which I ended up getting an infection from. I've reported this salon to the state board of PA for dirty nail file. This place is very unprofessional and they treat customers so rudely! Find another place that appreciates your business!! read more

My experience at Angel Nails today was good until it came to payment time. The gel manicure I received was done well, and the women who worked on my nails was friendly. The wait time was short and the place was clean. My review is not on the service of the nail technician but on the business. The friendly woman who did a nice job on my nails chatted to me about where I typically get my nails done, where I am from, etc. I am visiting Pittsburgh, and currently reside across the state. I am here on business and got a manicure on my lunch break. I was charged an extra $3.00 for being a "new customer"... because I get my manicures elsewhere. I have been getting manicures for 14 years, in multiple cities and never have I EVER come across a salon that charges an extra fee for being a new customer. Due to the large amount of competition in the nail industry, I most often see specials for new customers. I am out of town and decided to give this salon a shot (even though I have passed about 2 dozen in the last 2 days)... and to be hit with a FEE for not getting them done there in the past - it's absolute nonsense. Not the best way to 'welcome' a new customer. Perhaps this woman did not expect me to return because I am out of town so they attempted to secure an additional $3.00 from me. But actually, I am often in Pittsburgh, and will never be returning to this nail salon. I am by no means upset that my manicure cost me $3 more. The dollar amount is not the issue... It is the principle. This is terrible business, and perhaps not even legal. There was no where in writing that there is an added service fee for being a new customer. This is not a way to grow your customer base, which they clearly have to if they are desperately charging new people more money. I am not one to right a negative review but sometimes I feel as though it is necessary. This owner should rethink their strategy. Again, the manicure itself was good. I didn't have cash and therefore they would not let me add tip to my credit card and I even went to the bank to get cash out to tip. I know good business and general respect. I tried Angel's for the first time today and was very, very pleased with the service and the work that was done for me. The salon is located in a very cute space and is quite clean. While there is a nice selection of colors for regular services, there is a FANTASTIC selection of shellac colors. As for the actual services, my shellac mani/pedi was done by Kelly. She was pleasant to talk to and and did a great job. My pedi did not feel rushed at all and the massage chair was probably the best I have ever experienced. My shellac mani looks beautiful. Will not be going back. I went with my sister, wife and daughter for pedicures. Pedicures were $25 per person and apparently doesn't include getting the dead skin off. That was $10 extra. So none of the workers talked, I like having conversations with people and it was extremely uncomfortable. I never had any idea what the gentleman doing mine wanted me to do. Just awkward hand signals or grunts. When he was scraping the dead skin off he cut the bottom of my right foot, didn't say anything and just kept going. We brought my daughter along for fun and they also didn't talk to her. She has tons of questions and is just curious and basically was treated like she didn't exist. If I could give zero stars I would. Never going back and will take our business elsewhere. read more

I've been looking for a new nail place close to my new home. This still isn't it. It was definitely one of the cleaner places I've been to. Also, reviews are correct that they're quick and have a huge selection of polishes. But the quality of my gel manicure was lacking. I've been getting gel for two years and most put it on slowly and precisely to avoid the edges and cuticles. The gentleman who did mine was very hasty and the results showed. Usually I can get close to three weeks out of a gel mani. This didn't even last two weeks. And at one of the higher prices. I will not be back. read more

This nail salon is an absolute nightmare. You could go in once, and get the service done. Go in another time, and you'll slowly observe the disrespectful and horrific work they provide. The place is immensely loud, the workers have endless conversations not even focusing on YOU, the CUSTOMER giving them the money they use to pay their bills. The polish they provide is just terrible. Their shellac polishes stay on for more like two days instead of two weeks, which is how long shellac should actually stay on for if treated right. They don't treat your nails respectfully, either. Say you have a cut in a nail, or under it, or you're sensitive to some tools they'll use. They won't care, whatsoever. No lotion, no essential oil for hydration and care of the nail, nothing. Absolutely terrible. I wouldn't recommend going here at all. You work hard to get the money you have in order to treat yourself from time to time. Don't go spending it somewhere you can't trust you'll be satisfied at. read more

Didn't think it was fair that stiletto (pointed nails) fill was an extra $5 just bc of the "shape". Saw my CC was charged more than normal. Shortly thereafter I called to see if I was potentially charged extra- no problem over the phone and they agreed they would take off $5 the next time- fast forward when I came back they proceeded to bully the technician that I spoke with about it and agreed with me... when my nails were drying they warned me the "next time" it will be $5 extra bc of the "shape".
