A good tree trimmer and cleaner envisions how the trees will grow back and how that will impact your maintenance, views, and charm of your home and yard. I can say that Wild Oak Tree service did all of that AND ensured that my yard was properly trimmed and cleaned up afterwards. They did excellent and timely work and highly recommend them to everyone. With all the rain this year and rapid growth, I look forward to requiring their services again :D Thanks much team! Chad

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend Wild Oak Tree Service…read more We hired them to trim trees on our property, and during the work their crew damaged our fence. Accidents happen, and we would have been completely understanding if they had simply taken responsibility and fixed the damage. Instead, the most frustrating part of this experience has been what happened afterward. We have repeatedly contacted the company and given them multiple opportunities to come back and repair the fence. We have been told it would be addressed, followed up multiple times, and continued to get delays and avoidance rather than a resolution. At this point, we have spent far more time chasing them than any customer should have to spend trying to get a contractor to repair damage caused by its own crew. A company's professionalism isn't just about completing the original job -- it's also about how they respond when something goes wrong. Based on our experience, Wild Oak Tree Service has failed badly in that regard. We gave them every reasonable opportunity to make this right before leaving this review. Unfortunately, they have not done so. I would not hire them again and would caution others to think carefully before doing so.

Mike is absolutely wonderful and a consummate professional (he came recommended to me by a City of…read moreAustin arborist). I got a few other quotes, before going with Mike Klein, but he was the most knowledgeable -- and offered the best pricing and most responsiveness. Where others talked about scheduling weeks out and needing down payments, charging extra to haul away, etc., Mike was ready and helpful in answering all my questions. Furthermore, Mike handled the City of Austin application for tree removal from start to finish and (once the removal was approved), was there the next day. Further background: I knew our Elm tree was sick and dying (from City of Austin arborist inspection) and very close to our house and leaning so that when it went it was either going to fall on our house or our neighbors house. I had received quotes from everyone and contacted Mike on the day a storm was expected in the area to tell him I was finally ready to pull the trigger/as I was worried the storm. Mike offered to come out (and did) that same day to at least proactively take down some of the limbs that were weighing the tree down AT NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE and cleared them away before I got home. The tree did not fall that night in the storm but instead came down 10 business days later after the City of Austin approved the permit, with no problems (even after other vendors had worried there would be problems: because of the tree's proximity to the house and over power lines). My yard was cleaner after Mike left than it had been before actually and with one less sickly and root rotted tree leaning against the house! I've now recommended Mike to several friends and neighbors, all of whom have been very happy.

He was honest, reasonably priced, efficient, and left our yard cleaner than he found it. We could not be happier with the work that Mike did for us. Thanks for taking care of our trees!
