Tonight was my first and last visit to Angelo's. My mother requested to go there for her birthday and my sister had recommended it. I asked if their onion rings were made in house or if they were frozen. I was told that the onion rings were frozen. This disappointed me greatly. I ordered the seafood lasagna with an Italian salad. When my salad arrived, it look like it came from the dregs of a barrel. There were suppose to be fresh greens, tomatoes, red onion, garlic, black olives, Parmesan cheese tossed in a vinaigrette. My salad had no tomatoes and the parmesan cheese was from a can. The worst part was I discovered old lettuce after a couple of bites that were turning that funky red color when lettuce is going bad. My seafood lasagna came with what looked like cream crawfish sauce instead of Alfredo sauce like the menu said and was refrigerator cold in the middle. I did mention this to our waitress to let the chef or cook know that it wasn't heated all the way through. I did request a to go box to take the rest home. We ordered cake for dessert after being assured that the cakes were baked in house. That may be the case but the cakes were made from a mix and iced with pre-made icing. The cakes were incredibly dry. I had placed our to go boxes in an empty chair at our table because there wasn't much room on the table. The hostess came over and moved the boxes without asking and started to take the chair. When I asked her why, she said she needed to stand in it to put ice in the drink machine. My problem with this is 1. There were several empty tables with chairs she could have chosen from 2. She didn't address us before she picked up our stuff to move it and 3. Another taller staff was through putting in the ice by the time I addressed her about moving our boxes. Our bill for three people was $110 which I absolutely don't mind paying for good quality food and service. I didn't receive good or quality food or service at Angelo's! I will not recommend this establishment to anyone! read more

Unfortunately, our pizza was so greasy that it became soggy. This was our first time going so I'm unsure if it's always like that or not. If it hadn't been so greasy/soggy, it would have been a really good pizza. read more

I am a pizza snob, I won't lie! We had to overnight in this small town as we were traveling. I was skeptical to say the least but wow! A hidden gem that's for sure! The pizza was delicious and you could tell it was all made from scratch! Our waitress was such a sweetheart and so attentive! And then there is the dessert! All made by the same lady that makes their pizza crust. We got a slice of chocolate cake to go but it never made it out the door once we took 1 bite!! My wife and I were looking a locally owned restaurant in something small and intimate. So we hopped on yelp and chose Angelo's. It turned out to be a great decision! My wife had spaghetti and meatballs and I chose the titan pizza. Everything was fresh and delicious. At the end of the meal we allowed our waiter to choose our dessert (butter cream cake) it was also delicious and we would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone read more

My girlfriend and I had Sat dinner here and it was a great experience. It is an excellent representation of a Southern family restaurant. The spaghetti was great with a large helping and giant meatballs. The sauce was hearty and flavorful. My GF enjoyed the Seafood pasta and there were generous amounts of shrimp and crab. I think we also got the stuffed Ravioli and those were very good and well stuffed. Service was extremely fast. Prices for entrees were fair and great value, $10-$16. There was a large and unique selection of pizza and subs. I would definitely return, except that it's a long way from where I live. The owner greeted us and thanked us for visiting, as well as assuring we were happy. I noticed they had a lot of good lunch specials as well. read more

The food here is good but I don't rate this restaurant as one $. I don't agree that it's cheap to eat here when a plate of lasagna is almost $17. But if money is no big deal, then chow down. read more

I was not at all impressed with Angelo's. I ordered the Chicken Sicily with the Italian Side Salad. The lettuce in the salad was limp and mushy, as if it had soaked in Italian dressing all day. I couldn't eat it because it was so mushy. The Chicken Sicily ($16.99) consisted of cubed chicken, mushrooms, red onions, capers and artichoke hearts over angel hair pasta and tossed with olive oil. There was no seasoning whatsoever on this dish. I had to add a lot of Parmesan cheese just to give it some flavor and then only ended up eating the pasta and mushrooms from the dish. My dinner was overpriced and not worth eating. On the bright side, my husband and son both ordered 8" pizzas and said they were good but overpriced, as well. My husband's 8" BBQ pizza was $10.99. That's ridiculous for an individual sized pizza. While we were there, a gentleman came up to a member of our dinner party and asked what he thought of the ribs, baked beans and potato salad that he'd ordered and our friend told him he didn't like it and that it didn't taste good. The gentleman agreed with our friend, as he had ordered the same dinner and stated he probably wouldn't eat there again. Overall, the food is not good and it's way overpriced. We will not eat at Angelo's again. read more

I want to say that the food and service is a 5 star +. What caused an unpleasant dining experience was that the wait staff seated a couple with 2 very loud screaming toddlers next to us. The entire place had vacant seats everywhere. There was no one else in the area in which we were sitting. The staff should use common sense that middle aged couples and some young couples without children do not want to listen to screaming children while they eat. If I am offered a seat next to a table with children that age, I decline and request to be seated elsewhere. This was our anniversary dinner and the screaming was so loud we couldn't even talk to each other. They also later seated 2 other couples in our age group in that area and I noticed they were looking at the kids and shaking their heads. If people can't discipline their kids or leave them at home, at least seat them away from everyone else. read more
