This place is amazing! I recently placed an order for a baby shower cake. Well this gorgeous cake had a fatal accident. I called them twenty minutes before they closed and asked if there was anything they could do to help me! They said to bring it in and see what we could do. Well cake could not be saved. We recently ordered our wedding cake and 100 cupcakes from Eccentric International Bakery. The staff here was super friendly each time we visited the bakery to provide payment, or colors, or discuss changes. On the day of the ceremony they arrived punctually, unloaded the cake and cupcakes onto the display area provided and left. If I wouldnt have been in passing when the vehicle was out front, I wouldnt have even known they were there. They arranged everything in advance and didn't need to even talk to me the day of the wedding. The cake and cupcakes all looked beautiful and tasted even better! We got married 10 days ago and we're still eating the cake. Its still delicious! The extra cupcakes went to work with us and we got several compliments from guests at the wedding as well as coworkers (several days after they were baked). They're prices were very affordable and helped us save a good amount of money on our expensive day. We would highly recommend working with them! I have been told that 5 stars is "standard" for wedding vendors that performed their duties as expected. I would definitely give more that 5 stars if I could! read more

My wife and I went for a cake tasting and decided to order pastries and a fruit tray. We were told our order would be delivered and we were given a date to have it pay for. When we went to give the money we were told that our order has to be picked up instead. It threw our whole scheduling off so. upset as we were we still got a fruit tray that turned out to be something that we would have been better off making ourself. When I came in to order this cake with only 2 days left for the event, The ladies asked if they could help and I said I don't know if there is time help me, and I started to cry. It had been such an emotional exhausting week. They pried the information that I need a 30 year special occasion cake I only knew white cake, light, fluffy. She said " Don't you worry, we will make it wonderful." And Oh my did they!! Someone went above and beyond to research the symbol of the association I was affiliated and painted it on the cake with enough clarity that it took our breath away. I came in here for the first time today to ask if they could do a special order of macaroons. I was told they can't do macaroons to order. So my daughter & I had eyed some beautiful looking cream puffs so we bought those instead. It was like fake food they looked good but they were dry and horrible. The cream had no flavor at all. Without a doubt the worst cream puff I have ever had. I just spent $8 for 2 disgusting stale cream puffs. I feel robbed. I will never go back and I don't recommend them. They also have a fake cake with macaroons on display. I asked why they can't make specific macaroons if they have that on display. I was informed it's just a "dummy cake". December birthdays are tough to celebrate, especially two days after Christmas. I was searching for a bakery to make three dozen simple cupcakes for my daughter's 3rd birthday party on December 27th. I called and went to three different bakeries in the weeks before my event and they were all closed even though their websites said they would be open. One bakery didn't even bother posting holiday hours on their door. Anyway, I drove a bit further out of my way and found Eccentric International Chefs open for business and more than willing to help this desperate birthday planning mom out. The woman working behind the counter was super helpful and friendly and helped me figure out the best cupcake flavors and frosting options. She even had character cupcake toppers in our theme. The cupcakes were ready just a few hours later that same day. It was a great experience and reasonably priced. Only reason why this isn't a five star review is that for me, personally, I would have liked a bit more definitive flavors in the cupcakes. Although, if you ask my husband (he doesn't care for sweets), it was perfect and just the right amount of favor for him. The kids devoured them, especially the whipped-cream frosting (and the moms appreciated that it wasn't heavy buttercream frosting). Great job and thanks for saving the day for me! read more

This weekend I purchased a birthday cake for a 3 yr old, and I tried this bakery for the first time. When ordering, the personnel discussed what kind of decorations were possible, and we ended up with a round cake with a picture (edible) of the Frozen princess. The cake was fluffy with whip cream for the icing along with a layer of raspberry. Given the number of adults at the party, the 3 yr old was lucky to get anything. read more

We went into the shop and within 15 minutes we decided on a 3 tier cake, ordered it, and left. As arranged, the cake was delivered at the appointed hour and set up in our dining room. Oh how upsetting. I had an appointment for cake tasting today for my wedding cake. And unfortunately due to traffic we were going to be 10-15 mins late. And they couldn't accommodate that. They said because "they wouldn't have time to do everything and the have back to back appointments". I understand the appointments, I wasn't asking to extend our time. I just wanted to still get a chance to talk to them about our cake. But due to my work and fiance's work schedule we have difficulty finding a day to do this. The consultation was completely no pressure, and the quoted price was far below what most other bakeries in town were asking for a comparable cake. They showed up on time to set up my cake the day of the wedding, and did a beautiful job, going above and beyond what I expected of them. Not to mention, the cake was delicious! Everyone at our reception raved about how good our cake was, and I have to agree. I tried my fair share of tastings at a Bridal Bizzare here in town, and EIC was by far the best, and the finished product for my wedding was even better! I would rate this a ZERO if I could. I went there to order Thanksgiving pies. I asked the man (the owner) if the crust was made from scratch. He assured me his wife makes the crusts herself, fresh, using the best ingredients, from scratch. A few days later when I went there to pick up my order, I was shocked and really disappointed to see the pie crusts were obviously store-bought frozen pie crusts. The guy had lied straight to my face! The pie crusts has not been made by hand, but manufactured in a factory. Heck, I could have made those pies myself at home if I had wanted frozen pie crusts. I had cupcakes and a smash cake made for my daughter's first birthday. The cupcakes were great and looked cute, but the smash cake was a huge disappointment. When my mom went to pick the desserts up for me, she was given the excuse that they just didn't have time to decorate the smash cake and since it was complimentary that it was the best they could do. That's not a very good excuse to me. I gave plenty of advance notice for when I needed the items. Let me start by saying that I hate giving bad reviews because I understand that everyone can have an off day. SO..a friend suggested this bakery so my mom and I stopped by to see if we could place a 200 cupcake order with them for an event of ours. The lady we spoke to was rude and couldn't care less about anything we asked her about. Kept saying that she "couldn't help us" because the owner was not in at the moment. Wouldn't even give us information on when the owner would be in and said "I dont want to call him right now," and didnt even take down any of our information. My mom continued to ask questions when the lady INTERRUPTED my mom and started talking to another costumer like we were not standing right in front of her talking..... Another lady walked up and gave us some samples to try which tasted like something you would buy at albertsons. Not sure why they couldn't give us the time of day, wont be coming back. :( read more

I went to 3 cake tastings before I came to Eccentric International. The previous bakeries were recommended by theknot.com. I was disappointed because the cakes were not as good as the reviewers had suggested. So I decided to make an appointment with the bakery that also did my friend's wedding. I met with Melina for a wedding cake consultation. She was very professional and knowledgeable. She came up with great ideas for the cake. I ended up ordering a 6-inch square top tiered cake with 200 cupcakes. Eccentric International Chefs had the best tasting cakes and the best prices! My wedding guests absolutely loved the cupcakes!! They were moist and delicious. The only downside that happened was that Melina had said she would help decorate the cupcake stand and put it all together at the venue. It wasn't her fault but the reception coordinator was 45 minutes late in opening the doors and apparently, Eccentric International Chefs dropped off the cake and cupcakes and didn't have time to decorate it (they were just going to put the cupcakes on the stand and use the flowers my florist had given me to decorate the cupcake stand and put some other flowers on top of the cake). Two of our guests saw that it wasn't put together and they ended up decorating it themselves. I don't blame Eccentric International Chefs for not decorating it since the other vendor was late but I was sad that they didn't get a chance to do it. It ended up being beautiful anyway. I ordered a half sheet cake for my daughter's second birthday party. It was delicious! I went to Flour Power first and it was going to cost about $120 for the cake with a picture scanned on it. Carl was GREAT from the beginning. My husband, mother-in-law, and I went in to taste test for our 5/24 wedding and walked out confident knowing this was the place. The cake was exceptionally moist and the frosting and filling were perfect, not too sweet-not to plain. We didn't even visit any other bakeries. They even gave us a percentage off since we were referred by another bride. It was delivered, set up beautifully, and ALL of our guests complimented us on how delicious all three flavors were. We have ordered several birthday cakes for our children from EIC and each one has been amazing. EIC always delivers a creative, beautiful and tasty cake. We just celebrated my sons 3rd birthday and I ordered a marble cake with Bavarian cream. The only direction I provided was "construction" and gave Carl 3 candles in the shape of trucks to have put on the cake. The cake he delivered was outstanding with 2 large trucks, "dirt" and trees to make a construction site. All the guests were amazed at the cake and then went back for seconds once they tasted it. The cake was so fresh and delicious. When you compare them to other options in the area (mostly grocery stores) their prices are the same, but the quality is amazing. BEST WEDDING CAKE EVER! I received SO many compliments and people even asking for the contact information the day after my wedding. My parents and I first came across Eccentric International Chefs at a wedding bazaar almost two years before my wedding and booked them on the spot and couldn't wait for the wedding because of the cake. They had a great promotion going and their customer service was fantastic. My husband got to experience them for the first time at our cake tasting and was blown away! I made some last minute style changes and they pulled it off perfectly. The only issue was wishing we had more! We got enough cake for almost 200 guests thinking it would be too much but our 150 guests got multiple pieces and even asked to take some home leaving none left over. Carlos and his wife are the sweetest and the artistry and pride he takes in his work is that of a world class chef. My family refuses to use anyone else for any event we have.
