Rating Angela's on a "2 AM burrito" scale where they score pretty high. I ordered the California burrito and it holds up! The provided salsas added an extra heat to the food that I appreciated. Fries could had been salted more, but they came out fresh and crispy which is a feat since we were there late at night. read more

First time ordering from Angela's Burrito Style, very disappointed. I ordered a Burrito Suizo, a side of rice and beans and a 20oz Horchata. The 20oz Horchata never arrived and to top it off the burrito came plain no "Ranchero" sauce on top. I will never order from them again. read more

I ordered the Angela's Veggie Burrito Grande for delivery. I paid extra for guacamole, and there was no guacamole in my burrito. And they forgot to put beans in the burrito, so it was just a rice burrito with some green peppers, onions and lettuce. Disappointing. read more

Good asada over here at Angela's. Been a few times and really dig their burritos. They're open late, too. Give them some love! read more

Angelas is outstanding for what it is. They serve the best Mexican food in the area but lack dining the dining experience. Quality/Price ration is extremely high. They are an ideal option for a "take away" meal. read more

I've ordered from Angela's through GrubHub twice as they have a big menu, are open late, don't cost a fortune, and deliver pretty quickly. Both times I ordered the veggie California style burrito and the chips and guac, although the first time I ordered I just got a regular veggie burrito. I thought the California style was interesting because they have fries?! On the burritos?! I don't know if that's actually California style but it did make for an interesting bite. I also thought the chips and guac were delicious. The portions are pretty large, and the burritos hold up well overnight in the fridge. Overall, it's a great late night treat. read more

My favorite Mexican restaurant in Chicago!! Love their grilled cheese burrito. As a vegetarian, I found their options very yummy and I keep going back for more! read more

Amazing burritos, super huge and cheap. Very generous with the fillings, I appreciate. Great flavor throughout, plus it doesn't get soggy! I recommend the chicken burrito. If you add rice, they put a lot of rice in there, but there's still a lot of meat. Do note that sometimes the fillings are not super evenly distributed, but you probably won't care (I didn't) because it tastes so good. read more

Angela's Burrito Style - Steak Quesadilla with Meat (steak) and tamale - Mexican Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

Hard to find authentic Mexican food around this area but they had the best torta ever! The steak was amazing it was marinated perfectly with the classic Mexican steak taste to it! They were very nice! To top it of they had 2 different sauces, I loved the red salsa one a lot it was very tasty with the torta.!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND read more

4 stars for convenient late night eats! I wouldn't go here in the daytime- honestly, the food isn't super high quality, and there are plenty of better Mexican sit-downs in the area. But my peeeeeps, Angela's hits different after a late night out on the town. Fridays and Saturdays they're open til 5 am, and every other day they're open til 2! There aren't many other food options that stay open so late (ok besides the beloved Weiner's Circle), so our gal Ang comes in CLUTCH. I always get the burritos. I like that you can choose your burrito size, cuz lawd knows you don't wanna overdo it with drunk eats- the small is plenty! They come with diff proteins and sauce/cheese toppings. Plus some really spicy sauces! The quesadilla is pretty dope too. You're welcome to eat there or get your goods to go. Every time I spend under $10. It's just easy, breezy beautiful. Add it to your late night eats rotation...Angela's, Weiner's Circle, Angela's, Weiner's Circle, Angela's........ read more

Place: This is a solid late night stop-by. If you are craving tacos or a burrito this is your place. There are seatings in the back but a lot of people pick and go. Service: The service is good! They were very friendly. Food/price: My friends got different types of tacos and they also got chips with Guac. Good quality food! Good for day and great for night :) Price is worth too. Audience: Great for groups or just honestly you can go and pick up it up to eat at home hehe. Recommend/tips? I would highly recommend. read more

Amazing food, and will be back very frequently. One of my favorite spots in the area.

Angela's will get the job done, but not worth a special trip. As the name suggests, burritos are the way to go. .. followed by quesadillas and tacos. In that order. The horchata is homemade and pretty good. Food quality doesn't justify the prices. read more

Angela's Burrito Style - Two 2 Taco Dinner - Mexican Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

I love this place. I went to Galway Arms tonight because I like the live Irish music and my roommate is out of town and I work from home all day and felt restless. The Irish music was great and I think I might muster the courage to accompany the talented musicians there next Tuesday; stay tuned. Anyway, I usually try not to eat past 10 bc of the whole "intermittent fasting" phenomenon. But I usually blow it. Tonight was no exception. Left the Arms, walked into Franks and placed a pick up order. Left Frank's to pick up said order. As one must do. They were making my order when I walked in. I was a bit early so no big deal. I think I usually get the steak or beef when I get the California style burrito but today I got the marinated pork. SO glad I did. 10/10. Totally full/satisfied but not in a bad way. Stoked for bed and low key stoked for work tomorrow. I credit the burrito from Angela's. I cannot take a picture of it bc it is gone. read more

Angela's is great. The California Burger is so good. Definitely give the Birria Tacos a try too

the food was inedible, the tortilla was so hard to chew through. i could barely eat it and had to throw it away. $25 down the drain

Every time I've come here I end up getting the California style steak burrito! It's delicious. The burritos come in two sizes (junior or grande ). The grande is significantly larger than the junior and just a dollar or two more. But I usually get the junior because I can't finish the grande in one sitting and the burrito tastes best fresh and warm. It is more expensive than chipotle. There is some indoor seating if you would like to dine-in but I feel like the majority order carry-out. I would recommend this place! read more

Decent food, terrible service. In person order got interrupted by a phone call. Waited for 30 minutes, and went to check. They say they don't have it and accuse me of eating it already. When they've been walking past me sitting waiting for half an hour. They find it with other mobile orders and give me a half assed sorry. And now I've got a cold soggy burrito. read more

Prefacing this review by saying that I don't think I've ever had Angela's while sober, BUT that doesn't mean it's not a fantastic little spot. My bf and I always split the jumbo California burrito with chicken after a night out and it never disappoints. The meat is quality and the ingredients are fresh. The avocado and fries aren't always the most prevalent ingredients but they add those perfect fresh and salty flavors every time. The house salsas are delicious too - but that red salsa can be really spicy! read more

Expectation: Get 'California' burrito, enjoy, be satisfied, go on my way. Actual Experience: food was served. I was underwhelmed and then irritated by the misnomer- 'California' Burrito. My 'California' Burrito was missing ingredients, no guac or sour cream- which are advertised as included. 1/2 lettuce. I paid $9.75 + a Jarrito (~$2) and tipped up front. ~$15 total Conclusion: Do Not Recommend this is a real california burrito: https://www.yelp.com/biz/la-taqueria-san-francisco-2 read more

I ordered the enchilada dinner, and it was terrible, and rice was bland. what a letdown, wasted my money.

If you are looking for no frills Mexican after a night out, this is the place to go. The food is good and the delivery is quick.

Still 5 stars: just updating so I can add a photo of my recent burrito. And still delicious while sober!

Great place if you want to hit the restroom 1/3 of the way through your burrito. Avoid What was supposed to be a causal lunch with my son turned into a literal Sh*t show. Couldn't make it more then 1/3 of the way through the chicken burrito without a visit to the restroom. While not causing violent reactions, the chicken tacos were flavorless and forgettable. Oddly, they included sliced tomatoes and not the diced tomatoes you normally add to tacos. With soon many choices in the area, avoid at all costs. read more

In the last year I've lived in the area, I've ordered both pick-up and delivery from Angela's several times. I was a little confused at first by the name, "Burrito Style," instead of just, like, "Angela's Burrito," but you know what? They've got some charm in that confusing name! And I LOVE ANGELA'S! For the most part, I usually order a shrimp burrito, because that's one of my favorite meals. But there's something remarkable about Angela's: Whenever I order pick-up, it is always ready much quicker than expected. Not only is it ready very quickly, but it also tastes amazing, is cooked properly, and it's always easy to tell that it was made with love. Most recently, I did something different and ordered not only a steak taco bowl instead of a burrito, but I got it delivered instead of picking it up. And you know what? Angela's still followed through with their amazingness. That taco bowl was delicious (I nearly inhaled it, which is a common theme among meals I love), it was presented beautifully (which is always mind-blowing to me when it comes to delivery, because it was literally placed in a back and dragged down the road... okay, maybe not LITERALLY dragged on the pavement), and really didn't cost too much (both my boyfriend and I ordered bowls, and the total before tip was about $14). I'm glad I'll be living in this area for awhile and that I found a favorite spot to order from, because Angela's never disappoints. read more

Angela's has some of the best tacos in Chicago. Period! This review is only for the tacos. I love them so much that I have never moved on to any other menu item. Hahaha. One time I did get a quesadilla and that was pretty delicious too. Service is always pleasant and food is done fast. I've never had a bad experience here at any time of day. Whether you're drunk or sober, you will love their food. All of the meats are cooked fresh so you get that nice grilled taste. I like the carne asada (steak) the best. They also offer shrimp and fish tacos. The corn tortillas are perfectly soft yet slightly crispy. Order them the "mexican way" with only onions and cilantro. Once in while I will add sour cream or cheese, but plain old onions and cilantro is my favorite. This way I really get to savor the freshness of the meat and the sauce. And the sauces! I a such a fan that I asked Guerzo, the owner, for the secret behind the delicious sauce. He told me that he uses only the freshest ingredients and he blends them together each day. Apparently many other Mexican restaurants boil their peppers before they blend in order to make more sauce with less peppers and also to extend their shelf life, but he doesn't do this. His grandmother taught him how to make the sauce and he has never changed it since. How can you not love that?! And for the red sauce he actually roasts the tomatillos before blending them with the other ingredients and that roasted flavor really comes through. If nothing else in this review entices you, at least go for the sauce. I would like to deduct a half star for their horchata if it was possible (not flavorful enough and too much cinnamon) and the bathroom (not the best) but for the food it's definitely a 5! read more

Great food. Fast and delicious. Great place to stop by when I'm in the area for some quick protein.

I only had to go to Chicago from Indianapolis to get a good California Burrito. Moving away from my hometown of San Diego in 2011, meant moving away from good Mexican food...and family and friends too, of course. Throughout my journey, I've sought out and come across many interpretations of the California Burrito. Some with lettuce, beans, and rice. Some with potato chunks. Some with pico de gallo. All of the above would be considered pretty heinous in a true California Burrito. Seasoned carne asada, semi-crispy french fries, a good tortilla, and a congealed mass of cheese, guac, and sour cream make the iconic burrito. That's what I found here at Angela's Burrito Style in what they call a "California Style Burrito." Enough about my west-coast-inspired spiel. Angela's is a small hole in the wall. We got there around 11AM and nobody else was there. Street parking is $2 per hour. Their restroom is old, but clean. The workers were nice. And both the red and green salsas are great. I'll definitely be back to see what else this place has to offer. read more

Still delicious! I had the chicken California Style burrito and chips and guacamole. I shared a grande burrito with my husband and with the guacamole and chips it was the perfect amount of food. I have to say that I liked the steak burrito better than the chicken but it was still very good. I'll definitely go back. Love the French fries in it! read more
