Went to this nail salon for the first time recently. I was very happy with the price but when my toenails grew out I realized that the girl never trimmed the corner of my toenails. I've been going here for a few years. Extremely pleasant and accommodating owners. Last time I was there I got a spa pedicure and gel polish manicure. My daughter got a regular pedicure and gel polish manicure. As I was signing my charge card receipt I saw that I was charged $145! I even asked if this was correct to which I was told yes. I've gone here about once a month for about 6 months and will NEVER go back after my last experience. They try to up sell you for everything, spa pedicure, waxing, if you want a regular mani/pedi. They weren't busy so they asked if they could do my manicure and pedicure at the same time. No problem. The two people who were working on me were talking about multiple people in the salon the entire time in their native language. It was to the point they were pointing at the people they were talking about. I don't know if it was customers or other employees. I was finished quickly and while I was drying, I was given a free massage which was getting borderline inappropriate. He was going really far down my back, like under my shirt to my bra strap, and fairly far down my shoulders in the front. Once he was finished, he said "you're done" and stood next to me waiting for a tip. I gave him $4 in singles on a $22 bill. He counted them and said "$4? That's it?" I started to say that's all I had in cash. Before I could finished, he started yelling "$4 for two of us? You had manicure, pedicure, and free massage." I said "I'm sorry" and he stormed off yelling in his native language, and started slamming doors at the back of the salon. They are very aggressive with the upselling. I was getting a wax that was set on the menu at $40. When I went to pay she charged me $45 because she said she did "extra". Not only did I NOT ask for (or notice) any extra service, but the price on the menu says a straight $40. Not $40 and up, not $40+, just $40. So how did we get to $45?? That takes a lot of nerve. Huge turnoff. And the polish on my nails started cracking in less than 24 hours which leads me to believe it was old and/or mixed with an additive. Good pedicure, but that's about it. They upcharge for every little thing, and they give you only the amount of service that they have to. Every time I was there I felt so rushed, and one of the ladies actually fussed at me one time for a miscommunication that was not my fault. The nail tech doing my pedicure told me it would be extra $ for extra massage time, I said no, apparently he added more time and told her to charge me, and then she was mad at me for trying to get something free out of them. I wasn't; I said no, and I didn't know he tagged it on anyway. Apparently the normal pedicure massage is almost nothing, if you don't add on one of the frilly overpriced options that they push. My gel manicures and artificial tips always lifted when I got them done there. Don't go there without cash tip money, because they won't let you put it on the card, and they make that very clear. Also, it seems that all of the employees carpool to work together every day in a big white van, and once some of the workers are done, they sit and fold towels and stare at you waiting for you to leave. Like, go do something else, make yourself useful and don't make me feel pressured to leave when I'm paying for the service, just because you're done and you want to go home early. They pack up everything so fast, they all make it so obvious that they can't wait to run out of there, and they also deny clients or give them attitude if they have to accept them, a half hour from closing time, every time I've been there (which was after work hours when I could get there). read more

I would not recommend going to angle tips in rocky point, I got fake nails a week ago and my nail flew off. The service was absolutely horrible, the lady didn't even fill in my nail in all the way, one nail was crooked and the lady I had wasn't even nice and you could tell she wasn't in the mood to do nails. I have been a very loyal costumer to angel tips in rocky point for over 4-5 years(every two weeks). A couple months ago I got a manicure, it felt rushed and she did not do a good job so I tipped her 20% (I always way over tip) the next time I came in I got confronted by the male owner asking me what was wrong with my manicure. I told him she did not do a good job. He than proceeded to make a huge scene about how he watched her and she did a good job. I got over this and actually went back even after this embarrassment. Today was the straw that broke my back. When I was there today I sat in the last seat near the bathroom and the break room. They had a leak in the ceiling so they had a garbage holding the door open to the break room. As I was getting my manicure I saw one of the nail ladies in the break room actually taking old used paraffin wax from the plastic bags which had been "thrown away"(that had been on people heels) and putting it back into the wax warmer. I was so appalled I stopped my manicure where it was and I asked to speak to Kim the manager. She proceeded to tell me I was wrong and that the nail lady who was doing it doesn't speak English and doesn't know what she's doing. I am not one to make a scene but I was so disgusted by this I had to say something. Then when I was leaving they had the nerve to tell me "don't say anything to anyone". I will never be going back to this place and I don't advise you to either. I am still sick to my stomach thinking about this. read more

This place is very cramped. No TV. Not all pedicure chairs have massage. There is one person that does pedicure and another for manicure which means two tips. The pedicure was a few seconds of callous removal. Very fast pedicure. My manicure was just as fast. My cuticles were rushed over and after one day now, my gel polish is already lifting.
