I have been coming to this salon for ages. Over the past few months it has completely gone down hill. I made and appointment to get my nails done on Friday and they didn't use the color I asked. Anna rushed, kept getting up, kept looking at the time, was busy talking to other customers and just not listening to me being all around rude, she didn't buff my nails correctly nor paint them right- missed MANY spots on multiple nails. I then got my eyebrows done and she literally took off the entire left corner of my brow. I called the owner John and was told to come back the next day. I went back and John "fixed" my nails. Within an hour of leaving my nail chipped. I went back Sunday, cordial as I could be. Not to mention I was getting a fill I was told would be 31 and my brows are 7 and it somehow came out to 41. I had a few broken nails but I mean STILL. AND I STILL TIPPED ‍ I explained this to him and he HUMILIATED me infront of EVERYONE. He said he called his company and the police . I told him I would wait and nothing happened so I left. I wish I didn't have anything bad to say but I'm at my wits end and at this point want my money back. read more

I got a refill done with Anna and she did not refill them with the powder and acetone nail techs usually do. She did it with this like builder gel or acrylic over lay gel.. But I didn't say anything because I thought "hey maybe that's how she does things". Boom she's filing which she's not even really doing and then goes to paint she does the French so bad with the normal nail polish brush instead of the skinny brush but I again, giving her the benefit of the doubt thought maybe she'll clean it up with alcohol or acetone. Nope. So I'm like okk. I didn't say anything because it wasn't horrible so I look at them after she's finished and they're just so uneven, fat, and bubbly looking. But at this point I didn't have time to stay and fix them. I go to pay and don't leave a tip because I hate them. She questions the tip part and I said no tip because i genuinely don't like my nails. She legit gave me my card back, slammed the drawer and walked away lol. Took everything in me to not go off on her. Kept it cool fr. So I told John the owner that I didn't like them so he told me to come back the next day to fix them which I did. Lol.. safe to say the only difference was him actually filling them with the power and acetone. They still look ugly af. Long story short after all that.. I hate my ugly fat uneven nails and I will never go back there to get my nails done. I came here to get my eyebrows done and it was Sunday so it was basically the only nail salon open around my area. As I entered the establishment, it was packed but I was taken in right away. The staff person that did my eyebrows, did a really good job and I was happy with my eyebrows. She did my eyebrows and cashed me out all in about twenty minutes. I don't know if all these negative reviews are for the correct place. I've never had to wait more than 10 minutes, they do a wonderful job (I get a gel mani), and they're beyond affordable! My mani lasts two weeks and is smooth and beautiful. They do cuticles too which is AMAZING because I think it makes it look better and last longer. I've been to three different manicurists here and they consistently have been great. I also brought my 3.5 yo daughter and they were amazing with her. They're easy to understand and also listen to what you have to say as a client. I was born with syndactyly and unfortunately two of my finger nails are quite different and very very sensitive. EVERY salon I've been to either makes it uncomfortable by not painting it, making a comment, or a weird noise when they see it. If they do paint them, they miss part of the nail...Not ONE single person here has done that. In fact, they are gentle, kind, and thorough. I have to give extra props to LuLu who was all of the above: gentle, friendly, great communication, great manicurist...she also went the extra mile when I was indecisive about color by showing me the two I was between on my nails. It was an extra step for her but she offered and gracefully. Speaking to the environment-they have at least 14 people working. They have plenty of stations. Are they spotless -no, but they also have a revolving door of customers. Ive never been when they open, but I'm sure they start out much cleaner than they are by the end of the day...They've always used new tools on my nails! The look is more like the nail salons from the 90s/that were in the mall. If you're looking for fancy then maybe this isn't the place, but if you want a great gel mani (or a mani for a child) that is well done, lasts and is affordable I HIGHLY recommend. read more

I went in 3 weeks ago and the lady who did my nails was so rude. She got mad when I asked for more chrome on my nails. She said it was enough and slammed her fist on the table and spoke to her boss in her language while being pissed off. I said to her and the boss that she shouldn't be mad over me asking for more chrome, that I'm paying for. What happened to the customer's always right. They are truly terrible people who work like they are in a factory, you are just a number to them. If they smile or talk to you, it's all fake. They demand a large tip even when they are rude to you! It is also by far the dirtiest nail salon in Connecticut. I'm shocked that it hasn't been shut down yet. Someone needs to contact OSHA! If the place is busy, your not getting the appt when you want to. It's not because it's booked, it's because they bring random people in who didn't have an appt and just start doing their nails. It wasn't even busy because of the weather! Also, John messed up the nails to the point where one of them looks like duck, almond, and coffin. At the same time. Also, made the XOs red and not black! Went here for a mani pedi for the first time. Pedi was great but the full set acrylic is horrific. Not only did the lady tell me it was okay that the nails were crooked when i asked her to fix them but the acrylic is paper thin and completely uneven. The paint job is terribly uneven as well as the terrible job she did on the holographic "design" for an extra $10. I usually do my own nails but I decided to go with a family member. Never again. Im so glad I decided to give this place a chance. After reading the reviews I was a bit skeptical to go, but again, I'm glad I did. John did a wonderful job only nails. The place is busy, but they are extremely friendly, unlike MOST nail salons I've been to. Their prices are amazing, you can't beat them! Afternoon I went back for a pedicure (I didn't have Time for both in the morning) get there and ask for te pedi that includes callus removal ($21) mind you, I've had this pedi done before and it ALWAYS includes a green tea mask on my legs, and a timed 5 minute massage, this time, I didn't get any of that, but still paid the price for it. TERRIBLE! There's no other words to describe it... Matter of fact there is, nasty, rushed and unorganized! Maddy did my pedicure it's was rushed as well as sloppy. She didn't cut my cuticles well then gets upset when i tell her, she said "hunny i've been doing this for 16 years" & i said okay but that is sloppy can you pls fix it, but she didn't so now we proceed to polish and the polish was horribly applied ! I asked politely if she can remove the polish and do it over she refused! bc she said it was perfect. I had polish on my skin she didn't clean it up until i kept repeating myself. Right after i got it, it chipped, got it fixed.. an hour after i got it fixed it was bubbled and peeling off again. Also, they always tell you a 15-20 minute wait but in reality you end up waiting an hour. I've been here a few times over the years and was never impressed with the work that they do. But, it was never awful. I usually drive out to orange to get them done but on a time crunch I went close to home. I have a wedding tomorrow morning to attend and this was a huge mistake they are awful. There's still hang nails, she cut the thumbs to short, didn't ask if I wanted them cut I had to tell her, then she cut the thumbs so sort it was close to bleeding, the cuticle cutting was too much, and she started squaring my nails off when I went in with them rounded and wanted them to stay rounded, I had to ask for that. It's message amd there's polish on my skin, and my entire nail isn't painted in some spots and it's sloppy.
