I waited 30 minutes for a pick up order.. After getting my food and there being no wait at the coffee counter I realized the coffees I placed for pick up that I was waiting on were never made so I had to ask for both coffees to be made and one of the coffees still wasn't made correctly and then I got to the car to realize one of the sandwiches placed for pick up was not made correctly either so I had to go back in and have that fixed also. read more

Terrible service. Awful late. The young man with pink hair couldn't have been less socially aware. Completely seemed annoyed I was ordering anything, totally rude for no reason. Burnt the milk, so the drink was way too hot, then filled my late way to the top of the cup, with no foam whatsoever. It spilled all over my car, and burnt my hand. I threw it out, it was that bad. A total waste of money. Mind you, I drink lates all the time, buy them all over and have never had this happen. Disappointed, yet again. I bought a box of mixed pastry at 7am for my Mom and they tasted at least a day old if not more. So stale. All of them. Having managed bakeries and been a baker, I know that the pastry should be baked fresh every morning, and typically only have a shelf life of 12 hours. I only go here once a year since they've opened, and I always hope they'll be better, but I'm done going. Market Basket has better pastry. read more

The Andyman bakery in Amesbury is absolutely by far the best bakery I've ever gone to. I love the fact that it's not just a bakery and it sells other things like bagels and sandwiches and especially that yummy bakery pizza. Two days ago I called and I spoke to the baker herself. Her name is Debbie telling her I needed a double layered cake for a very special woman who is retiring. Debbie went above and beyond and out of her way to ensure that we got everything that we asked for with the decorations, etc. the cake was amazing not only did it look beautiful. It was so delicious. I was amazed at how little the cost for such an amazing cake. The Andyman has always been a favorite of mine. The staff is always super nice. There's plenty of parking. Very rarely. Ordered a chocolate cream pie for Christmas. Everyone was very much looking forward to it. I have always enjoyed the pastry but the pie was awful. It barely had any chocolate filling Very light in color and did not taste like chocolate. The rest of the pie was over two inches of topping and not whipped cream as we expected. I had the privilege of interacting with Cole Ciprari on the phone. He is a genuinely kid, caring, sensitive man. Due to a family crisis I had to cancel a Bakery order (last minute). I have been to andymans my entire life and have never witnessed such horrible attitude from the staff. I was here on July 3rd 2023 and a lady behind the counter in a gray sweatshirt, glasses and black hair was the rudest person I have ever witnessed. i witnessed a man accidentally drop his iced coffee right after he got it. the lady in the gray sweatshirt gave him a roll of paper towels and told him to clean up the mess himself if he wanted her to remake his coffee. I then witnessed her give many dirty looks and horrible attitude to all other customers. this makes me very sad as everyone here on this day is seeing her horrible attitud - it's making this place not look good at all. she needs to be talked to at the very least about how horrible and uncomfortable she is making the andymans customers feel. read more

When ever I visit the area, I make sure to stop here for coffee. There is a large selection of coffee flavors to pick from. The bagels are really good and my kids like the cookies. The service can be a little slow at time and it's really busy in the morning. read more

My husband and I just moved to the area and have been here a handful of times after hearing great reviews especially for the bagels. Although the food is good, the place is not that clean and there have always been flies in the glass cases where the pastries are (sitting and flying on the pastries). We gave them the benefit of the doubt and tried to go back, but it's still the same thing (we've been about 5 times and there are always flies in the cases and around the shop). They produce good products for sure, but they need to clean their establishment especially since flies can cause further contamination and sickness. This was my first visit. The wait was extremely long,people waiting cut in line but the display of cupcakes looked so fabulous it was worth the wait,until you took a bite! Gross! Very nice place to grab a quick coffee, hot or iced, and a snack if you want. My wife and I stopped in on our way home to western mass, and we really enjoyed it. I have been coming to Andyman for years as it is really the only bakery shop in town. They have always seemed too struggle with getting customers in and out efficiently and is still ongoing. The shop is way too small to accommodate the foot traffic and would benefit from a larger space. Today I purchased an iced coffee and one of these desserts for 7.50. the only edible portion of it was the cream. Pastry was soggy and tasted like the bottom of a refrigerator. I know this review will not matter to their regular customers because they had a enough of them and there isn't really much choice around here but are you kidding me? This was the most disappointing and disgusting excuse for a bakery/restaurant. It took forever for the front counter girl to acknowledge me, she didn't have a menu to offer but only a greasy, spotted menu to look at. Trying to make the experience a little smoother we went for the simple grilled cheese sandwiches. They were dry and stale tasting. The cookies they wanted for dessert were hard, stale, and tasteless. You know the food is bad when a 7 year old says a grilled cheese and a cookie is gross!!! Their idea of COVid distancing was to throw chairs on top of every other table. No plastic in site anywhere and people lined up inside 8!at a time. Seriously?! This place made it through the pandemic and other great places closed? People need to start being a little more choosy. Delicious bagels and treats. They are very busy so you will need to be VERY patient. This is not fast food. There is a 50/50 shot that they will get your order wrong. They need to train there staff better. The turnover is real high which is usually a sign that people are underpaid. read more

I have been patronizing Andyman for the last few months. Generally, I have been happy, The coffee is great, baked goods excellent, and sandwiches good. I have stopped to buy desserts for a dinner at a friend's house and everyone loved what I brought. The reason for the rating of 3 is because I visited a few weeks ago and ordered a BLT. Here is what progressed. The (older) woman at the register was very pleasant. When she informed the other staff member (younger woman, long dark hair) I wanted a BLT Wrap it was clearly obvious from the woman's reaction she was not happy to have to make it for me. She finished making the wrap very quickly and gave it to me. When I opened the wrap I found a wrap stuffed with a lot of lettuce, a few slices of tomato and two very skinny slices of bacon. It wasn't worth 1/2 of what i paid. The reaction of the staff member was very bad and there were no other customers in the store so she wasn't stressed for time. Perhaps this young woman should find a job where she isn't required to work with the public. On this day there were two gentlemen who appeared to be either management or owners. I had multiple nauseating experiences within the past year. Well, it's no secret that small businesses (especially) rely heavily on reviews so I only felt it was fair to update my review since I finally had a good experience! A few weeks ago, my boyfriend and his friend ordered sausage, egg, and cheese bagel sandwiches and both stated they were among the best they've ever had. I didn't have anything due to my previously bad experiences. However, today, my boyfriend picked us up food from Andyman's. Cream cheese on a bagel is my go-to, but I've been trying to limit my dairy intake (I know, I'm about to totally contradict myself in a minute) so I've been using my own dairy free cream cheese.. with that being said, he picked me up a mozzarella and bacon bagel just sliced, as is. OH MY! This bagel was DELICIOUS! It was without question super fresh, the inside was so soft and fluffy, and the flavor was incredible (due to both the bagel dough itself and of course the mozzarella and bacon on top). My boyfriend got a bagel sandwich, again, and also stated the bagel seemed more fresh than last time and was delicious. Due to today's experience, I will be giving Andyman's another chance. I do hope my future experiences are like that of today. I will update when I give them a few more tries to determine if today is actually their norm and will update my "star rating" and recommendations accordingly. read more

We go to Andymans often. I am very disappointed with the counter help! I feel like we are a bother to them. We were trying to order 6 pastries , the blond girl , was rude and literally didn't speak to us. We stood there waiting then asked for help. At the end of choosing we asked for scali bread sliced. She took her time out back and came back to us and again said nothing. She rang us up and then she spoke to us! We got home to make sandwiches and the bread was hard as a rock. Very disappointed.
