A neat little chocolate shop tucked off of Main Street in an old mill building. This is the retail store for Ovedia Artisan Chocolates, which are sold at a select few shops in MA, NH, ME, CO, and WI, including Butcher Boy in North Andover and Philbrick's Market in Portsmouth. Ovedia sells the chocolate barks, bars, chocolate covered nuts, truffles, caramels, and coffee beans. The items are on the pricey side, most items already packaged ready to go. They also have a small coffee/espresso bar in the shop, some baked goods to go with your drink (short or tall sizes). I strolled in here only for a tall Iced Coffee ($3.15 with tax) which was pretty refreshing on a very hot day. CLOSED on Mondays

More like 3.5, but I can't round up. I thought the truffles (stout and a red wine flavor) were fine, but nothing super unique. My iced vanilla latte was a bit on the boring side as well, and I've had way better lattes. The flavor profile was off, or maybe the espresso just wasn't bold enough for me. My BIL's iced chai was fantastic, and I'd get that upon returning. Their flavored iced coffees seem like a better bet than the lattes, and I'd be willing to try one of those as well.

Coffee is not good. Chocolate was pretty good! Will be returning to try more things. There is a nice seating area as well.

Hidden shop in the back of the Main drag and in between two buildings. The coffee is excellent and home made chocolates are even better.

Yummy.... Get an outrageous iced coffee and I always get a few dark chocolate pecan turtles or some of their incredible bark to go!

I didn't know what it was at first so the strength of the bourbon in the cake was actually really surprising. The cake itself was really good and moist and one of the better cakes I've had from places in the area, especially compared to something that you would pick up at a supermarket. I recently decided to order a cake for my own party. The owner is really nice to deal with and will give you a lot of ideas for what you would could put in a cake. She has a menu but is open to pretty much any suggestion you have. I settled with a red velvet cake with Southern Comfort in it. Thankfully I was just as happy the second time around as I was the first time.. In short, great service, reasonable prices, and a cake that is not only delicious but could probably get you drunk, what more could you ask for?

I spoke directly with the owner/baker who was able to take my order with short notice, walk me through some thoughtful considerations I hadn't thought about (basics like size, etc) and deliver on time! we got a chocolate peanut butter cake but I forget what kinds of liquor were in it. Probably partially because the birthday girl shared almost NONE due to the cake being so delicious. The liquor complimented the cake so nicely, was not over- or underpowering in any way and we still talk about it 3 months later because we can't wait to try another one. I would recommend this business and their product to anyone without hesitation. The owner even followed up with me over facebook to make sure we were happy. OH and the cake kept beautifully in the fridge which isn't always easy for baked goods. Enjoy!!!

My wife and I tried their homemade sangria, red for me and white for my wife. Both were excellent and fruity. We started off with baked oysters and baked blue cheese, served with homemade chips, bread and toasted almonds. Both appetizers were served hot and they were delicious. The selection of entrees was quite impressive, as were the specials offered. I had the baked haddock special, my wife ordered the surf and turf risotto, our friend ordered the duck confit special, while his wife ordered the beef tenderloin. Everything was delicious and more than enough to satisfy the hungriest diner. After dinner, we enjoyed a few of their scrumptious desserts. Two of us had their pecan and chocolate torte and my wife had the limoncello creme Brulee. If you are in the Amesbury area this is a great place for a fantastic gourmet dinner. The only caveat is that reservations are required, as Phat Cats is quite popular with the locals and fills up fast. Diners are never rushed, so they tend to linger. They close for one week in February and one week in July, so be sure to check with them during those two months.

The service is outstanding--professional, attentive, and they have a way of keeping the flow of food just right without ever making you feel rushed. The owner is incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to make our night feel extra special, which truly set the tone for the evening. The dining room itself is elegant and welcoming, with an open layout that makes the space feel lively and inviting. Because it's all open, it can get a little loud at times and make conversation harder to hear, but when we went toward the end of the night the atmosphere was quieter and even more enjoyable. The meal started with their bread--perfectly crunchy on the outside yet soft and fluffy inside, the kind you can't stop eating. The Calamari Fritti was hands down the best I've ever had: tender, melt-in-your-mouth, never rubbery, with a sauce that balanced savory richness and just the right amount of kick. Despite being fried, it felt light and satisfying, the ideal appetizer. For my entrée, I had the Ravioli di Aragosta, and I honestly can't praise it enough. The ravioli were generously sized and stuffed with flavorful lobster chunks--both inside and piled on top. Each bite was rich, savory, and carried that perfect seafood finish that lingered beautifully. Absolutely phenomenal. Drinks are another highlight--the bartender pours them strong and tasty, just the way I like them. And to top it all off, the desserts were gorgeous and paired perfectly with an espresso. I loved the thoughtful touch of including a rock candy stick, letting you stir in sweetness to taste or just enjoy as a little snack. All in all, Ristorante Molise checks every box: incredible food, warm hospitality, and those little details that make an evening memorable. I can't wait to come back!
