After waiting ages to get to Maya's, I finally made it this weekend and these guys exceeded expectations in every way. We had the pistachio latte, taro milk tea, Dubai chocolate croissant and almond croissant. I would get every one again. We had cow's milk in the pistachio latte and oat milk in the taro milk tea and I recommend both combos. The space is bright and welcoming. The only confusing part is identifying the entrance which had both us and another party confused. The business itself is well signed (near Ellie's as a landmark) but just the door was hard to identify! They are in a strip mall (located at the corner) with good parking, especially down that far end.

I am so glad I stopped in to Maya Gourmet. As soon as you walked in, it smelled amazing. The cafe is in the corner of the plaza with plenty of parking. The inside is decorated cute with tables for enjoying your food and drink inside. The staff were all so kind and helpful. I ordered a hot pistachio latte because so many people have been talking about in other reviews! It had real pistachios which made it taste so good. I ordered my husband the Dutch cold brew. One of the staff gave me the run down on how it's made with the glass contraption behind the counter. Epic! It tasted so strong and my husband loved it! He mentioned in the future making this cold brew with Ethiopian beans which I look forward to trying. I had to try the Dubai chocolate croissant and it was heaven and massive enough to share. I also had to try the cronut (croissant donut) just based on looks. It tasted just as good! When we were leaving they offered each of my kids a cookie. It was such a kind gesture. They truly love what they do! I can't wait to go back.

Visited Mays Gourmet for late lunch and enjoyed a salmon croissant with eggs and avocado! It was a mouth-watering top notch sandwich. Such a treat for a Friday lunch! The latte was great as well. The Italian music playing in the background added to the overall enjoyable experience. Highly recommended!

Delicious and creative bakery! And coffee. Very cozy place to sit in. Highly recommend the bakery! Very special. Nice and friendly owners.

Service was incredible. Owners were so so so nice. Croissant sandwich was great. Desserts were to die for. Hidden down in the corner of a strip mall.

This place is great. The owner and staff are super friendly. We sat at one of the tables and the owner came over and asked how everything was. He was super knowledgeable about coffee and answered some questions I had as I am a newbie espresso maker. We also had a spinach and feta croissant and it was delicious. The pastry looks really good. They also roast their own beans so here is a place to pick up freshly roasted beans for great coffee.

This dynamic husband and wife duo know what they're doing! The "gourmet" in the name is not a bait and switch, this place truly offers gourmet food, coffee and smoothies. Tried it for the first time today and it did not disappoint. We walked in and were immediately greeted by the husband and wife team behind the counter, with bright smiles, within minutes of opening. The husband is the mastermind behind the gourmet coffees, hand roasting beans from around the world. The wife, the baking wizard, popping out the yummy pastries. We ordered the smoked salmon croissant and bacon egg and cheese with avocado breakfast sandwiches. Hubs got a strawberry banana smoothie, and I got the caramel macchiatto latte. We had nothing but raving reviews about all of it. Best Coffee and pastries in the Merrimack Valley. If you want a place that gives you nothing but European café vibes with high quality ingredients and a happy face to greet you, look no further. We will be back OFTEN!

    Cute decor

I've been here for take out pastries, (delicious by the way) but today we dined in and had a breakfast sandwich. I had bacon egg and cheese, my date had sausage egg and cheese. Both on croissant. First, you cannot find nicer people than the owners! They will bend over backwards to help you. The sandwiches were delicious on delightfully flaky croissants. Simple yet excellent. We got a coffee. Here's the problem - there are a lot of choices for coffees that needed explaining! And they were happy to do so. They roast their coffees in house and they are delicious. Lots of options for other drinks teas, smoothies and bowls as well. I wanted to snag a chocolate Dubai croissant to go- but someone came in and grabbed the last 3. Next time! By the way it's small but very bright and cute in here! So it checks all the boxes for me. I'll be a regular.

This is great find. The coffee is fantastic and the sweets are unique and taste great. The people running the place do a great job of making you feel welcome and catered to. It is a little tucked away in the plaza but it's beautiful inside. Once you come once you will want to come again.

Anyways, Crack'd Kitchen totally lives up to its namesake, for every single egg product here utilizes (wait for it).....REAL cracked eggs!! This may seem like a rudimentary feature. But when you take into consideration how many short-order breakfast places rely on liquid or processed egg, things like this are graciously appreciated by those of us with a palate above that of a seven-year-old. So, I had an opportunity to try this place out both to-go and dine-in. Right upfront, I will say the food is far superior when enjoyed dine-in style. Given the distance from my house, I can aptly say we'll be mostly opting for dine-in (unless the dining area is hella crowded). For to-go, I tried the Country Breakfast whilst the dine-in meal was one of their sammiches; The Basic, to be precise. Overall, both were little short of greatness in their own ways. Though, I made a few casual observations. As mentioned earlier, this stuff is way more enjoyable inside the restaurant. Ergo, I probably should have reversed which meal I ordered when. Despite that minor setback, I think I actually liked the Country Breakfast more than the sammich. Whilst the former carries decently well as a to-go plate, the latter could have benefited from some seasoning on the eggs. I guess that's why they also offer sandwiches with various special sauces. Not gonna lie....I am slightly curious about their honey-sriracha sauce. One day I shall be brave enough to fancy it. One other complaint I have about the platter specifically: you only get half as many hashbrowns with the meal. For....some reason. Meanwhile, I ordered a side of hashbrowns with my sandwich and it came with six. I would assume that'd be the standard across the board so....make it make sense? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Btw....I should probably mention the only reason I'm stuck on this point is because the hashbrowns themselves are amazeballs! They don't even need ketchup, but comes with it if you fancy that sort of thing. A few other housekeeping deetz: their gender ambiguous restrooms are located toward the back entrance. There is also complimentary water for folks dining in. So, yeah. We'll certainly be revisiting this place from time to time. Perhaps I'll even try a couple of over-easy eggs at some point. Till then, Crack'd Kitchen and Coffee in Salem gets 4 cracked eggs with bacon and beautifully seasoned hashbrowns out of 5.

This is a Lavazzo espresso in an Italian-leaning shopping piazza, ya gotta get the coffees right, signores. Mingua. Then after a lengthy amount of time, our pastries were collected. All of the almond croissants looked as if entire bags of confectioners sugar had fallen open on them. Also a strange, not almondy flavor to the least-snowy almond croissant we paid an arm and a leg for and threw most of it away. Not worth the calories. Ditto the chewy and chocolate-lacking chocolate croissant. One spot of chocolate inside, horrible bready chewy exterior. These are croissants! Should be light and flaky by definition, even an Italian version. Not sure if Tuscan or hotel kitchen is at fault, or if they are shipped in from elsewhere, but the baked goods were baked bads. The avocado toast slice with tomatoes was the only winner in our entire order. We had been looking forward to trying this hotel cafe since it opened, and it was not at all worth our special stop or money or parking fee today. With so many cafe options, there is no need to give this another try when almost everything was a big letdown. If you are staying at the hotel, this may be the only game on the block, but I'm sorry to say they need to improve the service, efficiency, quality, and flavor. To put Artisan in their name is wishful thinking at this point.

Ordered the ham and egg breakfast sandwich on a Portuguese roll, asked to add lettuce but it was not added. No sauce of any kind, so it was super dry. My bad for not asking for a condiment. Ordered a chicken salad wrap for my lunch and it came with a bag of chips. Looks to have been grilled, packaged in a clear plastic clamshell container. Asked for lettuce and onion, and it was included. I think I will attribute the very strange taste and texture to "don't buy chicken salad from a donut shop", my bad. Lastly, ordered a butternut donut (because how can you order from heav'nly donuts, and not order a doughnut?) Unfortunately, I hate shredded coconut and this is covered in semi-toasted coconut. Maybe it's my misunderstanding, but my idea of butternut is the small crunchy yellow "crumbs" like at Dunkin - should be called a coconut donut? (but I guess it's different at each donut place.) I apologize for comparing this place to DD! All tolled, I'd give it a 4 (if I could it'd be a 4.5) and would like to try other items in the future.
