I love coming here for the ice cream stand. Its cash only, but the portions are amazing. The staff is friendly as well. I haven't bought any hot foods here before, but I have bought bread and other baked goods and they were all delicious!

The Bear (Italian Beef). - A beef wrap with shredded beef and vegetables inside a tortilla, partially unwrapped in a plastic container, with some chips nearby.

I will keep this review quick because frankly, this place feels largely unispired...or that was our take. We came here to try Bob's Chicken Barb Sandwich. This was okay. I am sure it's a bit better in Winter and we were here in the dead of Summer (they stop serving at 2pm so that kinda sucks as well)...it's not a bad sandwich but it's like $2 worth of chicken on a roll for $11 plus tax. Okay, you could argue. maybe $3. This isn't something you NEED in your life...like I thought when I saw it on the TV show Chronicle. I'm glad I know and now I can move on with my life. The other sandwich we tried was The Bear. We didn't know about this one till we walked in, but I'm glad we mixed it up and got different things and shared them. This is basically an Italian Beef...which I never tried when I lived in Chi town for a spell. I can't compare it to anything but its a beef sandwich with some onions, peppers, etc. It is served with a side of Au Jus, which some will absolutely love. In short, I liked it because I like the beef aspect and while I typically love spicy things, this tasted as if some fool dumped a ton of ground pepper in a vat and cooked the beef that way. I personally think it was over-seasoned. If it was even a little bit subtler, I would have probably liked it a lot and might have gone for 4 stars. I do want to add there are two things I detest about this place: Just eating my food with my girlfriend and looking around and there massive ads for realtors and roofing guys (or other trades people) and EVEN WORSE, there is a bunch of religious stuff on one of the sides. I get it, the owner of this place can do what he will, it's their business. I just don't have to like it thrust in my face. This country was built on religious freedom and while I happen to have the same faith, I don't think anybody that doesn't should be subject to that. Moreover, when I go to lunch I just want a tranquil environment, particularly when I am overpaying...so I guess I feel like the food was okay, the environment was below par and for what we spent, we can do better and we will. Oh they sell some pies and fruit and stuff. I didn't look around too much since lunch was underwhelming, we def weren't leaving more money here...which is wild because my girlfriend rarely just wants to leave without buying a ton of stuff to bring home. TLDR - Food was okay, environment was lacking. Better value to be found elsewhere imo.

Blueberry Cream & Apple Cream - Two large bakery pastries with cream toppings are placed in open boxes on a countertop, one with a dusting of powdered sugar.

Looking for an amazing dessert for your family or holiday, Mann Orchards makes the most delicious pies. Picked these up for our Christmas dessert. Everyone enjoyed them. Perfect crust, perfect cream .. mouth watering. Staff are so nice & extremely helpful. Always smiling. A little something for everyone. Gingerbread muffins, pumpkin bread & the spinach, feta focaccia were fresh & filling. Definitely bustling during the holidays ... best place in the area making the most delicious items!

The lunch plates are very good. They also have an ice cream stand out front which has some good flavors. Most of all the pies and other bakery items are very good too.

Chocolate cookie - A person holds a chocolate cookie wrapped in clear plastic with a Mann Orchards label, set against a plain background.

I had their cookies in multiple occasions. I like that their cookies are soft and not too sweet. I've had the raisin cookie and now I had the chocolate one. I recommend both flavors. I would come here for my cookie needs.

Blueberry square on left - Two slices of baked items, possibly pie or cake, are inside a cardboard box lined with parchment paper.

The food was excellent! The young lady who helped us was so nice and patient! She explained how each dishes were prices and what some things were called. Because of her, I learned the proper name for Spanish rice. It was very reasonably priced, too. The large rice was only $8!! My husband and I ate that for two days, lol. They had many vietnamese items, compared to my Asian stores nearby. The seafood and meat section was good size and organized. I only got a glimpse of the vegetable and fruits section, but it seems ok for quick runs when you forgot something. The cashier was nice and caring. One of our food boxes fell inside the bag, and he straightened it out. That was such a small gesture, but it showed how much he really cared for his customers! I will be returning for their food. The fried chicken was so good and the rice alone too!

I just finished reading all the reviews and while most of them were positive and well deserved, a…read morecouple of things stood out that I think deserve some comment. Before I get to them I want to jump on the bandwagon and say Rob and Jannette (the owners) are some of my favorite people now. I park my car in the garage across the street from them and feel a gravitational pull to the market every time I park. I sometimes go in there with no need and no idea why I'm going in and walk out with something special. Now to the complaints (which were few but shouldn't go unchallenged). First, some complained that the prices are high. That's true, as well as inevitable at such a small scale. I know the owners aren't becoming rich via this venture. If you're the type of person that only considers prices when forming a value statement, you might be better off going to BJ's. For me, value is a complex calculation that doesn't actually result in something that you can put a dollar sign in front of. I live in the neighborhood so convenience is a factor. The selection, in particular the beer and wine choices, is something that I literally can't find at any other grocery store nearby, thanks to the invisible Puritans in my state that voted down a referendum to allow grocery stores to sell beer and wine. Much of what's available is sourced locally. More important than those, and something that I saw in many reviews, is the wonderful relationship I have with the owners. I can't even walk past the place without a friendly wave from them. They know their products and are happy to answer questions about them. And they know me. They know I try to only eat vegan foods, their amazing Muffaletta sandwich being a notable exception. They know I'm allergic to chocolate. As a regular customer, I get special treatment from them. Try THAT at Market Basket! Just this morning, I ran out of turmeric and ran to the market. They didn't have it on the shelf, but they had it in the kitchen. Rob got me what I needed and refused to take my money. What's something like that worth to you? I also saw some people complain that the produce can be on the edge of spoilage. I can't deny that there have been times when I purchased things only to have them inedible the next day. I understand that this is just normal for a small, owner-operated grocery store with moderate turnover and minimal staff. But instead of writing them off, I alert them when I think something in the display fridge should be removed. Also, I don't stock my refrigerator from MSM. I buy what I need when I'm going to use it and inspect it before putting it my shopping basket. In other words, I don't attempt to treat them like a tiny Hannaford. I treat them like an amazing pantry, which is easy for me since they're in the neighborhood. Before the MSM opened the city conducted a survey among downtown residents that attempted to figure out what types of businesses people would most like to have appear in the neighborhood. A small grocer was at the top of most resident's preferences. I'd like to remind people that now that we have one, we'd better use it... or we'll lose it. I'd also add that whatever problems may exist at MSM, they'll only get better if we reach out to them the way they've reached out to us.

Market Street Market is the only locally-owned grocery store as of the time of writing this. The…read moreowner of the store also owns the building, and he is as friendly and helpful as anyone could ask for. The market carries a nice assortment of fruits and veggies (mostly local), deli meat & cheese, pastas, sauces, breads, coffees, etc. They have a great MA-roasted coffee that is excellent, and you can even get fresh-squeezed OJ by the glass - there's a fancy contraption that allows you to watch the process - or you can get watermelon by the slice. Perfect for those hot summer evenings. There are some muffins and pastries if you need a quick snack, frozen foods, and a decent selection of laundry soaps (like method) and other household necessities. In short, pretty much anything (basic) you'd need to run your home, especially if you already eat out several nights a week. They're open 8am - 8pm. Also, since it's a smaller store, I'm assuming that the owners will stock anything you ask for if there is a growing demand for it. They seem pretty flexible and are definitely open to opinions and feedback on how to make store as good as they possibly can. So why didn't I give it 5 stars? Well, it is pretty small, so there's no way they can stock EVERYthing that I need, which means I'll still probably have to go to a larger store for some things. That and the prices have to be a little higher because they get such small quantities. Otherwise, I'm a fan. I'll try to get at least a few items there every week just to keep them in business, because it's something that was sorely missing from the downtown Lowell area. Stop by and check them out! Great Store, it was a great experience! Returning the Empty Bottles was totally 'hassle free". At 1 Stop Liquors Methuen I spoke with the cashier and chatted a bit. I was amazed how big this store is and their great selection of Wine- Beer and Liquor i observed. I inquired and asked who the owner was? She pointed and said he's here in the store and pointed to him "Joe". I walked over and shook hands and aske him how he started the business. What a great story 28 Years ago and now - 6 locations! Joe started by buying a small package store from a friend's family who wanted out of the business. He was a young guy going to college -had a wife and hardly any money to his name and owing a mortgage for his home and working another job and maintaining the small Package Store on Bridge St. in Lowell, Ma. He knew nothing about this business. He made it work and grew the business. Its a great American Dream come true. I have so much respect for people like this. HE WORKED FOR IT AND EARNED IT !! Not riding on the backs of others and surprising he seemed like a pretty unpretentious person. Their Wine prices are incredibly competitive; many Wines are LESS expensive than neighboring NH stores! No need for me to go North, its right here at 1 Stop Liquors in Methuen and plenty of parking! 1 Stop Liquors carries just about everything you could imagine, Wine - Beer- Liquor and even Mass Lottery! Talking with Joe the owner was a great experience! Their pricing and service was really great too. I felt I owed them a good word and deservingly so I wanted to endorse it. From today on - 1 Stop Liquors has earned my business and I will tell many more.... even though I am not a big drinker, Cheers! Please note, NO ONE EVER asked me or enticed me to write this review. The review was written purely based on the service I received that day and the variety of product I observed and how easy it was to speak with the owner.
