I am extremely pleased with my experience at AJBW and highly recommend them for any biking needs. I went in to purchase a bike; Chandler B. listened carefully to what I wanted, what was important to me, what I'd be doing, and what my price range was. Then he showed me several bikes in my price range and let me try them out. I found a bicycle that was the perfect combo of comfort, ease of use and price. Because of a special on this brand, I was able to save over $300. Chandler helped me understand what accessories I would need and explained the purpose and use of each one. There was no upsell involved -- he wanted me to understand what was available. He explained I didn't need to buy everything he showed me today. What I did need to begin riding was a helmet (which he helped me with getting one that fit like a glove), a tire pump and road kit for repairs. Chandler took all the time I needed to ensure I was comfortable with the purchase. He adjusted the bike to fit me and made sure it was ready to hit the road. Unfortunately, we couldn't fit it into my car. Chandler went ABOVE and BEYOND expectations: he said he would bring the bike to my house when he got off work. You don't find that level of service many places anymore. I would highly recommend AJBW for all biking needs. Be sure to ask for Chandler B to be sure you have a terrific experience. This place rocks! They don't have many bikes right now, but many places don't anyways. However; the associates there DO have so much knowledge on bikes and said that they should be getting a shipment of new bikes soon. They do have some rentals available and bikes for women. I bought a very eye-catching bicycle jersey and some bike shorts. They told me that they will open their bicycle maintenance appointments back up on August 3. Before going, I read all the great reviews and was admittedly skeptical, anyway. My son and I went on a Saturday morning, a beautiful spring day, a time when they would be busy, so I expected service to suffer, as a result. I can happily say, I was WRONG with every reservation! I don't even know how long Matt took to answer all of my son's questions and review his many options for getting the best bike for his needs, but it was was HOURS. We were never rushed, never pressured, never made to feel anything but welcomed and our business appreciated. We both walked out with bikes we are thrilled with, as well as a rack for my truck bed and an assortment of accessories. Matt even pointed us toward a great nearby trail, because we couldn't wait to go ride! We already had 4 bikes at home - now we have 6. Chances are, I'll want another one before too long. First of all, Andy Jordan's gives a MILITARY DISCOUNT!! 5% discounts on bikes and 10% discounts on accessories! From the minute I walked in the store Andy (the owner) answered every single question I had about riding. The most advanced bike I've ever had was a Murray purchased from K-Mart. After being out of the country for over a year, I wanted to get back into riding the right way. All my research pointed to a Specialized brand bike. I had a lot of questions about 26" wheels vs 29" wheels and Andy answered ALL of them. He didn't make me feel stupid even though I was asking very basic riding questions. He even let me take the bike for a spin in an empty parking lot. I'm still in awe of the customer service this place provided me. Andy didn't try to push the expensive stuff on me but rather showed me what I needed for my entry-level skill set. They'll do all warranty repairs in-house and have a huge selection of repair kits, pumps, etc for when you're out and about. I'm definitely going to recommend this place to everyone I know and I look forward to joining the store on some of its organized bike rides! read more

Another red bike from Andy Jordan's, years later lol. After renting a bike from a well known competitor and $60 too, it became clear that I needed to invest in my own. So my journey began and Andy's was my last stop. A Mr Jack showed me the Roll Sport on the showroom floor and when I say that the bike spoke to me and my senses is an understatement. This is strictly for exercise and recreation all the bike I would need like a comfortable and well fitting shoe. The shop brought back memories I hadn't been here in years funny how things come back around after all this time. But it took this virus and the need for exercise to come full circle to turn to this awesome bike. Look forward to choosing the right accessories I'll need to make this an amazing new frontier for me. Andy and the guys are great! They made this experience an experience! I don't think you can ask for more from a local bike shop. They carry great, quality brands, the staff is helpful and ridiculously knowledgeable about their products, it's near some fun places downtown, and it's probably the best place in the area to have your mountain bikes serviced for 'beyond casual' riders. I just recently purchased a mountain bike from this shop and I couldn't have been happier with my experience shopping and purchasing my bicycle. The associate of the store who assisted me in my purchase was incredibly helpful and explained a lot to me about all the different options and helped me find the bike that was perfect for me. They'll work with you on what your budget is and find a bike that is right for you and get you a quality bike that will last unlike those poor quality bicycles you find at the supermarket chain stores. Their prices were great as well from all the shopping around id done and compared they had some of the lowest prices in town or online. Plus with each purchase of a bicycle you get a deal on service and a warranty. Always better to shop local instead of going through the big online retailers or corporate chains, plus their service is excellent so you can't go wrong. read more

To all my mtb and roadie friends who plan to visit FATS or any other Augusta area trails: this shop is not the only game in town if you need emergency bike maintenance and parts, so don't give them your business! They were the only local Augusta shop picking up their phone the day after Xmas so out of convenience, they set up my tubeless tires for me, which I was grateful for at the time. I willingly purchased a $70 stans kit from their store and $20 per tire fee. Not only are they condescending to women bikers who aren't locals, they are overpriced for basic service/parts and charge extra fees without any disclosure. For putting my tires on the bike, answering 2 questions, and tightening one bolt related to the tire installation, I was charged another $10 without notification. This is all after I was given a clear price and my credit card was already run. This is BAD customer service and is borderline discriminatory, like the same cliche of how women are told to go to car mechanics with men to not get taken advantage of. I'm a woman in the shop alone and they know I'm from out of town...so they don't think they are going to see me again...you do the math friends! On top of that, they are incompetent. A bead on the back tire wasn't popped into place so I was leaking air...and they didn't replace my protective presta valve covers. That's what I got for $125. Lucky for me I have mechanic friends who got my hooked up proper for my next ride. Merry Xmas and happy New Year jerks! read more

This is my first yelp review, but I feel compelled to share. I decided it was time for me to get back on the bike, get out of the house, and get some activity in. I am new to the area, and am not familiar with the local businesses, or the area. I found Andy Jordan's Bicycle Warehouse on the internet. The reviews (yelp) were good, so I decided to look at their website. First off, they have a feature on their website to help you find your "right bike". You answer some questions about yourself, where and how you want to ride, how much you want to spend. They had a technician review my responses, and I received some suggestions of models that would work, based on my answers. I went to the shop and "test rode" three different bikes. The third bike was "MY BIKE". I am pretty excited about getting back on the bike, and getting out on the road. There was absolutely no pressure. My technician/specialist was Ben. So nice and helpful. He was very knowledgeable, and helpful. I didn't feel rushed, and certainly not pressured. I would HIGHLY recommend this business if you are ever shopping for a bicycle or accessories. I did buy my last bike from them which I do very much like. That being said they never have any parts in stock and have to order anything basically that breaks. Then they dramatically overcharge you for parts. Anyone can order parts from Amazon for half of what these guys charge. Incidently if you need spare parts and they don't have them in stock, oftentimes they have have them at the other bike store. read more
