I realize you have to drive up a dirt road west of the Belk shopping center. Look at my picture for the road. It is not a difficult find, but could be confusing for a first-timer. Upon entering I was greeted by a friendly dog and a hospital person behind the counter. The location had a small selection of outdoor equipment, but for the size of the store, I thought they did a tremendous of showing a variety of outdoor selection. I was recommended to this store to find climbing equipment and was disappointed in not finding any, but no fault of the store. I noticed that the store had a selection of disc-golf equipment. When I plan to pick up the sport, this would definitely be my first stop. The employees working at the store were top notch in helping me in finding other locations that would have the climbing equipment. I would definitely be back based on their excellent customer service.

The paddle was leisurely and Andy had a lot of good information about the park's history and ecology. He takes care of all the setup so you don't have to drag a canoe at any point. Even if you're like me (read: you're not a good swimmer and you've never been kayaking), you'll have a great time and get the hang of things pretty quickly. Besides, there is no better way to escape the heat of Columbia in the summer than taking a ride down the Congaree River. It was a manageable waterway that's suitable for first-timers and enjoyable for all, and Kevin was incredibly attentive, patient, and encouraging throughout the ride down. Everything is provided for you -- kayaks, paddles, life vests, and even bottled water. Just remember to dress light (shorts and a tee) and bring sandals (preferably, because sneakers will take several days to dry out) that you don't mind getting wet. If you've never been kayaking -- definitely give this a try. It's $35 well spent!

We traveled from Lexington, KY and were staying in North Augusta, SC which was only about 30-40min away. Worth the drive!! We did the Bronze Party Package for 10 of us - it was easy to book and totally affordable. This package included: 1 jet ski, 2 single kayaks, 1 tandem kayak, 2 stand-up paddleboards, and a party float/ lounger! We had fun alllll dayyyy long!! The staff was informative and took our safety seriously but also really encouraged us to have fun. Riding the jet skis was probably our favorite part! There was a picnic table right by the water that we were able to use and the water in the lake was clear. We even got to see an Eagle!!!
