It's pleasant enough, but the modest distance is irritating, particularly in light of the longer greenway trail just north of here on the same creek. The wildlife is abundant here also - I've seen deer, turtles, and various birds here. I haven't seen a nope rope yet, but I'm sure I just jinxed myself because I hate snakes and saying stuff like that seems to speak it into existence. Since it is a small park, it can be a little busy when the weather is really nice. The trail around the park is perfect to use for 5k training. Drop on in when you need a brief commune with nature!

One can walk a substantial distance in either direction and be treated to canal views and river views. Notably, a waterfall and pond running off of the canal are near here. It's a pretty area, and while he parking lot will be crowded on a nice day I've never had any trouble getting a space and once you get out on the trail it's usually quite pleasant.

Can you blame me? With two furry family members, I am always looking for a clean and safe space they can run around in. Augusta (including North Augusta) only has a few dog parks and this is a good one. I will say I appreciate the natural shade in the warmer months and the bench to sit (for when they wear me out). The space is a good size and there is a separate space for small and large dogs. I will mention that on the large dog side there is a corner in the back where leaves and such have piled up, making it easy for a dog jump out. I saw one dog hop the fence at least three times on a recent visit. Just be cautious if you're on that side. Again, it is convenient if you are spending time at the Park already and at least worth trying out. But remember, please pick up the poo. Just saying.

This is my local park & I've been going here for years. It has a walking track, a tennis court, a…read morebasketball court, 3 softball/baseball fields and some soccer fields. It also has a small playset for younger children. It is also located by a little creek. They have been doing a lot of remodeling & renovating during the past year. You can visibly see where they use their funds to make improvements. The park is well kept. You can rent/reserve fields for games or practices. It is also very community friendly as they usually allow different groups to hold events there. I've seen the concession stand open sometimes when there were soccer games, there is an annual Easter Egg hunt there, the North Augusta rock group held a swap there, and many families like to hold birthday parties there. During the off season, sometimes the softball fields aren't always completely kept up. One or two of the fields may be missing bases or a pitching rubber, but another field usually will have it. It is still a great place to go.

It is…read morepaved, and while on occasions it passes sports facilities or people's backyards, it is generally quite green. It is usually well-attended and I have not had any safety concerns; it certainly feels better than comparable areas on the other side of the river. There are plenty of bikers, but the trail is generally wide enough not to present any major issues of overcrowding. It's definitely a good way to get a taste of the environment without driving too far from the city.
