This is an awesome…read morefacility--gives you a simple, old-school ball park feel without the "extra" that so many state-of-the art facilities have today. The food was cheap, and everything was right beneath the stands (food, restrooms, etc.) Great location next to Lake Olmstead and the trail head which is located behind the stadium. NEGATIVES: 1. Parking is ATROCIOUS. There is very minimal free parking. The lots are made of dirt and gravel, no defined parking spaces. It's quite common to get parked in and be unable to leave until the others nearby come to get their vehicles. Frustrating is an understatement! Some people would walk all the way from parking off Broad Street. 2. Neighborhood not the best, not the worst. Safety at night is definitely more of a concern. 3. Ticket line is always lengthy. The stands can get crowded and there is little room to move around comfortably if you need to stretch your legs. Otherwise, this is a fun facility. I miss it often, even when at current Green Jackets games across the River. I hope it stays around and gets good use!
