It is usually well-attended and I have not had any safety concerns; it certainly feels better than comparable areas on the other side of the river. There are plenty of bikers, but the trail is generally wide enough not to present any major issues of overcrowding. It's definitely a good way to get a taste of the environment without driving too far from the city.

Several ellipticals; lots of bikes, one stairmaster, and some rowers in basement. They got some new weight machines and a small selection of dumbbells that go up to 50 lb. So no lunks here. The indoor track is big plus too, but the Greeneway is right there so why not just run outside? Also several basketball courts, racquetball, and activity rooms. Even craft room. But just $50/year. Can't beat that :)

After paperwork, we were given life vests for the kids and brought to the edge of the river. We're then given tips on how to navigate, how long it'll take, good place to turn around if needed, and then we were helped into the water once on the kayak. I will admit I haven't kayaked ever, and only canoed when I was a preteen. It was safe to say your girl was rusty and completely inexperienced. Add a small child to your lap, and a mom was slightly terrified. We paddled along, albeit very slowly, and eventually we were close to the golf course. We also decided after we saw some people swimming on a bunch of little "sand bars" that it would make a great a pit stop too. My kids were happy to have some solid ground and the water felt really nice actually. We only went calf deep in the water, mostly the parts that were clear, but the people we saw were shoulder deep. I'm definitely not brave enough. In any case! We saw a bunch of turtles, tons of dragonflies, water bugs, a few birds (herons?), but no snakes or alligators/crocodiles thank goodness. She peed herself because she couldn't hold it any longer. The adult male coach did not let her go, despite her claiming it was an emergency. She tried going on her own, but it was too late. Adding insult to injury the coach punished her for disobeying the order not to go to the bathroom. This is nothing less than bullying by a male adult on an 8 year girl. My daughter spent the rest of the night in wet clothes, because no one called me and she was to scared to tell anyone what happened. Great job Hayden (major sarcasm), she will never come back now. I have reported this to the police.

Hayden's Gym lost a customer today because of their employees' poor customer service.
