The cable for the brakes was not connected, the handlebars were not tightened, and the tires were not inflated. I took the bike into Chain Reaction for the brakes. They found all the other issues. I expected to leave the bike there for the repair. To my pleasant surprise, they took it into the repair area and make all the repairs immediately. They were so sweet to my 6 year old Granddaughter, making her feel like an important "customer". In addition, one of the repair guys taught my Granddaughter to ride her new bike. Spoke to Berry and as I was trying to talk to him, he said "you don't buy much from me". I asked for my sample bottle back but had to walk to where he was and retrieve it. Never felt so disrespected. Berry already has a reputation for being an ASS but I can confirm right now that it is well deserved. I've also purchased a Green Egg and a table for the egg from him along with other miscellaneous items. I don't live in Aiken but still went to him for all my Bioguard supplies. Beware! He doesn't appreciate or need your business. I'm 77 and have had my pool for 35 years. Trust me, you can do better than Berry Pool.

The course starts out with no direction or signs, but after you get to the lakeside holes it becomes pretty obvious. Honestly though, unless you're extremely accurate on every shot, you can't play all 18 holes. There are a couple that run along side the lake, with baskets literally on peninsulas feet away from the water's edge. I've lost a couple here attempting to play these holes for the sake of completeness. There is a scuba diver that goes into the lake and retrieves these - if you manage to catch him he'll grab your disc for you if he can find it. He'll call your number if it is legibly written on the disc. I believe he also sells them - he's got loads organized by area code, apparently for a name-your-price type of arrangement. Nice guy.

Overall...a decent park that feels squeezed. Better for experienced players…read more Concrete pads and satisfactory signage. The entire length of the course is placed in between a neighborhood road and Lake Olmstead. There is also a paved walking trail that follows the same path as the course. So, accuracy is a must, or else you WILL lose some discs in the drink, or to a car run-over, or hit someone. Care must be taken to watch for walker/runners using the trail. Given those concerns, this course is probably better suited for more seasoned players who know how to control their hyzer. The course features are Lake Olmstead (obviously), a good mix of distance drives, tree hazards, and some interesting elevation challenges. There is a restroom attached to a barbecue pit building, located about halfway through the first 9 holes. But it's not cleaned regularly so beware. There are also very few trash bins along the course, so dispose of any trash before hand. Holes 1 and 2 are on some kind of practice field, so they may actually be unavailable at certain times. I booked this gem on Air bnb. This was an excellent and very comfortable hotel option while we were visiting the Augusta, GA area last weekend. This boathouse lodging is situated conveniently on the Augusta marina, so there was no parking issues. The reservation process was very easy, and we had no issues communicating with the owner all through our visit. This houseboat was an older vessel, that was restored and could easily be enough space for 4 adults. On our visit we just had 2 adults, so the full size bed was more than comfortable. They also have two two size bunkbeds that could be used for kids or other adults. This houseboat was very, very cozy and comfortable. It had direct TV and all the other options (microwave, refrigerator, stove, everything a normal hotel would have. Our hostess was very friendly and added special amenities to ensure we had a great experience. Lots to do in walking distance, make sure you go downtown for some great restaurants.

Tyler made great suggestions on where to place the heater as well as moving some other equipment as well. We switched to Elite for pool maintenance after the heater install because we found Elite very easy to work with and conscientious. Lastly, we just had a pool update that included a new liner, replacing white metal edging with cobblestone and repair of cracks, addition of drain for deck, Cool Deck application and painting. Tyler and Joe worked together to give us an end product we love. Their attention to detail and willingness to please is beyond most any work by contractors on our home projects. We highly recommend Elite.

These guys are super stars!…read more A friend of mine was getting married and for every wedding that she has gone to she had a handkerchief embroidered with the bride's new initials--so, naturally, I wanted to do the same for her. I found the perfect handkerchief and all I needed was to find a place to get it done. I called around town and was told that because of the delicate fabric it would nearly be impossible to get done short of finding a little old lady that could hand sew. I mean, that is literally what one person told me. After panicking a bit (Where does my friend get it done? Who knows? I couldn't have asked though without stirring up her suspicion.) some kind person directed me here. Praise the Lamb, because they had me bring in the handkerchief to take a look at it and even though they had all the industrial machines in the back (I got a grand tour because I needed to pick out the perfect string colors--I didn't take pictures... because, well, it would have been odd. But believe me, they have half a million color options and the wall the colors are hung on is beautiful to look at) my handkerchief was done with care somewhere else. The staff were so very friendly. They treated me like an old friend and we were on the hunt for the perfect color combination for the embroidery. I really appreciated the time that they took and the kindness they showed my frazzled brain. My experience was with a small order and it was amazing the detail, I can only imagine how great of a job they do on larger products and orders.

As for parking, I do recommend arriving early, since you may have to park far down on the grass. There was also a good amount of green space to set up a tent for our club and plenty of rowing and food vendors to browse and purchase from. A cool fact, the Savannah River they row on is Georgia on one side, where the club is located, and South Carolina on the opposite bank.

I went to check out this place with minimal rowing experience (aka Boy Scout camp and what I've…read moreseen on television). I was ready to be intimidated, but thankfully the exact opposite happened. It is off 5th Street, but you have to go back a little ways to get to the actual location. The building is deceiving in size, as you will find out soon enough. In the bottom are where the different sized row boats are stored. As a member, this is where you get to store your boat and oars. Then there is a gym and row machine. The gym area looks out over Savannah River, which is a beautiful view. The row machine is great for teaching one how to learn to row in sync (I soon learned I needed more practice in that area). You have a second floor where there is a dining area (available for rental by Club members) looking over the river and a balcony. The point person walked me through not only the location, but the overall experience rowing. It was also interesting to learn that the 1996 US Olympic Row Team trained here. My lack of knowledge in this area was not held against me and I hope to join in the new year. *Insider's Tip -If you are new to the world of rowing, go to a intro day. They do them once or twice a year and it is a great first step into this. -Also, once you pass a certain level of training you can come on your own whenever you want. That's any day and any time. I like that.
