Sold me a boat with a cracked block and water got into my oil refuses to take any blame for it....

If I could give one star I would. Sold me a boat with a cracked block in it and told me they don't care and hung up on me. They said the boat was fine but ended up spending $1,000 to fix gimble bearing and starter. If I were you I'd take your money else where to purchase a boat don't trust these people... nothing but crooks. A Mechanic told me they had to of known about these problems when they sold the boat to me they just swindled me out of $5,000 of my hard earned money.

This is the boat they sold me with a cracked block here's my oil my oil was milky that's very bad and a $5,000 fix

I've been looking to update my ski pants before an upcoming trip and decided to see what they had to offer! This place had so much more than I was expecting! Although "ski" is in their name they definitely cater to a lot more variety of outdoor activities. Not only do they have a large selection of men, women's and children's ski/snowboard clothing, outerwear and gear (pants, bibs, jackets, thermals, helmets, goggles, gloves, hats, socks, etc) but they also rent equipment (skis, snowboards) so you truly can get anything and everything you need to hit the slopes! It's great to be able to rent equipment to figure out what styles you like before committing to a purchase, but they can also help you figure out and select what gear may be best for you. There was a service counter towards the back of the store for rentals and maintenance. Although I don't know anything about the sport, they had a sizeable selection of disc golf supplies with what appeared to be really quality items. They also had shoes, sunglasses, clothing, sunscreen, and really just overall a great selection of products for various seasons and activities. The salesperson who helped me was so nice and honestly put way more effort into helping me find a pair of pants that suited me than I expected. They have a really good selection of high quality brands at reasonable price points. I was there in January and multiple winter items were on sale or marked down which was a nice find!

Parking was easy and not too long of a walk to the check-in. There is one restaurant and you can see my separate review for that. We did tubing the first day and skied the second day. My pro tip is to make a group reservation, which requires a minimum of 10 people. Otherwise, it is first come first served and they sold out both days we were there by the time we arrived at 9:30am. Having a group reservation also lets you skip the line to pick up your equipment as they have it all set out for you in a room that is shared with other groups where you can change and keep your stuff. The tubing was awesome! There were 5 lanes, with varying speeds and they let us tie up to 4 people together and go down some of the slower lanes. There was very little waiting and the tubes were fast! The magic carpet ride up was relaxing. Skiing on the other hand, was not as great. There is only one lift and one run. At least you don't have to worry about merging. It is all man-made snow and the lifts are slow. They were letting people go solo and with only 2 people to a 4 person chair with a huge line. The rental equipment was dated, but at least it was not expensive. This would be fine for any beginners.

Disclaimer: This 4 star review is for a very specific use case and your mileage may vary. I've…read morefound this to be an excellent place to bring new people who have never skied and kids their first times learning. If you are an experienced (even intermediate) this could easily be a 1 star experience. Highlights: It is a quick drive from Atlanta (~2.5hrs) it is pretty cheap (very helpful for new people or kids who might not get a full day or enjoy the more expensive slopes elsewhere). We needed up paying about 250-275 for lift tickets and equipment for 2 adults and 1 kid (we had an amenity pass). Lodging in the area wasn't terribly expensive. Slopes: The area is small, there is one bunny hill with a treadmill style lift, then one ski hill with a ski lift. The ski hill might be a blue (maybe a little easier). It is narrow with trees on both sides and with a left turn going into a steeper down hill. Check in: My advice is go early on Friday (we checked in at 1) and the line was short and getting equipment was easy. We got a multi day pass so we could keep the equipment and didn't need to check in Saturday. The set up they had seems like they were prepped for long lines which with the amount of staff and system they had could eat most of the day waiting. Bunny slopes: nice wide casual slop easy for beginners. The treadmill lift was nice but slow. Main slope: with lots of new people it can get crowded and depending on the weather could be icy. The line for the lift can get long and would not be surprised if you ended up waiting in line or on the lift 3x longer than you skied. Advice: check the webcam to see how long the lines are! We went early then left for lunch and nap when it got busy. Slope side tavern: surprisingly nice stop to get food and drinks. Dose of hot chocolate is helpful for the little ones during a break. Tubing: There is a tubing option onsite, get tickets in advance it may sell out early.

Once ready to get another boat, I tried a Yamaha jet boat from Marine Max in Greenville. They were the worst organization from top to bottom. They were the worst company I have ever experienced. I couldn't talk to a live person, and it took a few days to get a response to a question. I honestly don't know how those idiots are still in business. Once they had my money they didn't care jack about me as a customer... I saw the error of my ways... Traded the Yamaha in for another Chaparral with Strickland. This was now my 2nd boat with Strickland... They were so attentive it blew my mind... They even made a trip or two out to my dock to service the boat, and also went way above and beyond when I had an issue and needed a tow... These guys are absolutely fantastic!... This week I traded my 23' SSI for a new 247 SSX, and again, the response from them was incredible... This is now my 3rd boat purchased from Strickland... I will never go anywhere else for service. Richard, the salesman has been fantastic 2 times over, now. I've dealt with him on several occasions, and he is attentive, understanding, and very helpful when looking for what you desire from a boat... Chris, the top dog is very understanding and extremely helpful. He gets the big picture and will work things to a proper resolution... Brandon, I call him the wizard, he has answered every question I have wether small or large. He has been extremely helpful over the years, and I could not ask for more from his response... He actually helped tow my boat into the launch when I had an issue last season... Mrs Elizabeth takes care of the documents and fine print, and she is a pleasure to work with, explains all the details. She has answered every question I've had... The phone is always answered when you call, and you will always get your info that is asked for... I cannot speak more highly about this location. I could not ask for anything else from these folks... I've dealt with them from 2011 until present, and there is nobody I would ever go to for my marine/boating needs then these guys... They have been extremely understanding, very attentive, and absolutely easy to work with. They are by far the best in this area. If you are new to the area, I highly recommend Strickland Marine on Hwy 24 in Anderson... I have dealt with boat dealers/service locations for over 40 years ranging from Pennsylvania to Arizona and now to South Carolina... These folks are by far the best I have ever dealt with on every level. You can not go wrong by going to Strickland Marine... But you could go wrong by going somewhere else... Don't make that mistake... Just go to Strickland Marine for any of your boating needs.

When the police recovered it, they lied about the initial state to try to cover their losses, and then their insurance policy refused to cover the costs of any of the contents stolen from my vehicle. This has been one of the worst experiences of my life and I hope we do not have to take them to court over it. I have not even received an apology of any sort. Only demands from their insurance agent to go visit my "rust bucket"- it looks like a gently used vehicle without a single spot of rust on it. Complete jerks. Really and truly- avoid at all costs.
