We booked online through Airbnb and ended up staying at the groovy cow yurt. It's a tent with air conditioned/ heater, WiFi, bathroom and shower outside with a small fridge, coffee maker and 1 bed. It's like camping but glamping. Hannah was quick to respond with any questions we had. Check-in was easy. Starts at 2:00 pm. Haylee was our cohost. She was very sweet and helpful. There are other yurts and 1 camper on the property but you have all the privacy you need on this big farm. You are out in the middle of nowhere so make sure to pack some food. There are rules you must follow. Please do not feed the animals regular food. They are on a special diet which they give you a bucket in your tent. The sheep are from Switzerland and their highland cows are from Scotland. They are super friendly and give you lots of affection. If you don't want to stay, you are able to book different activities with the animals , there are upcoming events, photography session, weddings and more! My fiancée and I spent a majority time with the sheep. Feeding and petting them. We got to meet the highland cows which was very cool. You are able to walk around the farm if you like. At the time, the llamas and donkeys were not out. At the end of the night, we were able to light a bonfire and relax. You have a beautiful view of the farm and the animals roaming around. In the morning you wake up and there they are. We slept good. The beds were comfortable, the shower outside was something I've never done and thought it was a neat experience to be out in nature. Having coffee with the sheep was also cool! To think I found this place and it's on the way to my parent's home in Augusta. I highly recommend you pay them a visit. They have a location in Georgia and Florida. We told them that we are coming back next year! I can't wait. You get your pet therapy and to spend the night at the farm? Yes! That's the life!

That made it must see experience when we came to town. We booked the Groovy Cow Yurt via Airbnb and couldn't wait to see all the animals. The staff were all super friendly and informative about all the animals. We loved spending time feeding and petting all of them. The yurt was very comfortable too with a nice big bed. The shower and bathroom amenities were outside of the yurt which took a little getting used to but we still liked. We especially loved having our morning coffee with all the goats. If you decide to stay, they have four different yurts and a camper you can stay in. They also offer a number of different activities with the animals even if you don't stay on the property. We definitely enjoyed our stay there and would absolutely stay there again.

Perfect for a quick getaway, as well as for those who don't want to pay for an overnight stay. I've visited this establishment before. However, due to unfortunately due to car trouble, my 4 hr. stay turned into an extended stay. The staff was phenomenal. From the management to the housekeepers; they made me feel welcome and were eager to make sure I had everything I needed. A staff member even volunteered to go to store for me. At no time was I disturbed and was able to get some much needed rest. The grounds are well kept, it's located in the woods, so you're surrounded by nature. And it's surprisingly quiet. The highlight of my visit: Not realizing that I'd dropped my ring until housekeeping returned it to me. Wow! I'd highly recommend the Ashley.

This is one of Augusta's most rewarding museums, a place that manages to tell a 12,000‑year story…read morewithout ever feeling overwhelming. The Augusta Museum of History is the city's oldest historical institution, founded in 1937 and now the only accredited museum in the Central Savannah River Area, which gives it a level of curatorial depth you can feel as you move from room to room. The museum's signature exhibition, Augusta's Story, begins with the region's earliest Indigenous cultures, including artifacts from the Stallings Island people, and then moves through the Colonial Era, the antebellum period, the Civil War, and the city's twentieth century reinventions. You see everything from slave‑made pottery to a 12‑pounder bronze Napoleon cannon tube and an 1869 steam fire engine tied to the devastating 1916 fire that reshaped parts of the city. It's a rare chance to see Augusta's full arc laid out in a way that feels comprehensive. The museum also excels at capturing the city's cultural identity. The James Brown gallery is a highlight, celebrating the life and global influence of the "Godfather of Soul" with photographs, stage pieces, and biographical context that show how deeply he shaped Augusta's modern identity. Several media options to watch him performing and to hear other leading figures discuss his influence. The golf and Masters Tournament section offers a thoughtful look at how the sport became intertwined with the city's reputation, and the medical history exhibit includes an impressive wall of antique medicine bottles that gives you a sense of how local healthcare evolved over generations. One of the most enjoyable parts of the visit is the Transportation Corridor, which brings Augusta's mobility story to life with a 1914 steam locomotive, a 1917 steam trolley, a reconstructed 1930s gas station, and a range of early vehicles. Walking through the restored streetcar and stepping into the rail car for photos adds a tactile, playful element that balances the more traditional exhibits. Upstairs, the museum's radio history exhibit traces the rise of WBBQ, one of Augusta's most influential stations, including a "then and now" section installed for its 60th anniversary. There are also exhibits on local law enforcement and firefighting, as well as a gallery of regional legends that highlights entertainers, athletes, writers, and other notable Augustans. The entire museum is comfortably explored in about two hours, which makes it an easy and rewarding stop whether you're spending a full day downtown or pairing it with the Morris Museum of Art or the Riverwalk. It's the kind of place that leaves you with a clearer sense of Augusta's character, from its earliest settlements to the voices and industries that shaped the city you see today. Don't miss it. Having never been to the Field, for flight or special events (i.e. Charity Fundraisers) I thought the main building was just a hanger and check-in. To my surprise I found a spacious and up-to-date room (on the 2nd floor, there is an elevator) that would be great for parties, meetings, and workshops. To top it off, there is an outdoor patio space that faces the field so you can watch planes land and take off. Restrooms are right around the corner so you don't have to go far for that. Apparently you can also rent a plane and pilot (by the hour) to give flights. It held 3 adults/4 children and did 7 minute flights. I don't know the price of all this, but I will be looking into it. Such a great hidden gem on Wrightsboro Road.

Well, where do I start? How about with a warning....DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT STAYING HERE!!! I wish…read moreI could give them negative stars. We reserved a room for two weekend nights based on the pictures and positive reviews. Our credit card was charged for the whole stay, almost $700. So, the day we are set to arrive, the "manager" (I will get to that whole thing later) informs us that there will be no breakfast provided all weekend. Huh? Isn't this advertised as a Bed & Breakfast??? First red flag. Upon arriving, we pull up to an empty, abandoned looking house. When I say empty, there was NO ONE on site. No guests, no staff and not a single car in the parking lot. Very telling. We enter (via unlocking the door with text instructions) and put our personal items in our room. We were a bit surprised to see other "guests" in our room in the form of small bugs crawling on the wall. Being the ever optimist, I tried to think positive and told myself the staff would be arriving later. Not as such. We decide to go to Aiken to have a happy hour drink and return to the inn after that. When we got back it was pitch black outside and the inn had no lights on outside or inside. Creepy. So we walked around the huge place turning on lights so we could find our way upstairs. This was straight out of a horror movie. I was going to relax and watch tv while my partner got ready to go out to dinner. I attempted to turn on the tv, which was a whole 15 inches, and it didn't work. So, I called management, not on site and not local apparently, and they asked me to check the cable box. Excuse me? At almost $400 a night, one would expect a working appliance. This manager informed me there was no handyman and said there were instruction booklets by the tv for me to read and figure it out. Seriously? At this point it was almost comical just how bad this was. By now, we had enough and left and stayed somewhere else for the weekend, which was the same price as Annie's but beautiful, fun and actually had human beings present and good food also! To add insult to injury, the owner contacted us 2 weeks later as we requested a full refund and assured us that our money would be returned. That was about 4 weeks ago and not a penny has been refunded. She has been giving us the runaround. At this point, we realize that we aren't going to get any type of refund from her. What a disappointment from what is supposed to be Southern charm and hospitality. Beware!
