We were there in April, and found the campground to be very quiet and peaceful all 5 days we were there. Over the weekend, even with the campground filling up, it was still peaceful. The spots are well distanced from each other. It was a bit cold for swimming, but we did walk to the edge and try fishing. My only complaint is the online booking - there is a lack of photos of each site, and it's really hard to tell what the access to the water looks like. Some of the spots have an easier access to get into the water than others, especially for small children. We used campsitephotos.com to get an idea of what the sites looked like.

Sites are deep and level with a concrete pad and aluminum picnic table, and full hookups. 50/30 amp electric, water, and sewer. WiFi worked well. There's no bathhouse, but with full hookups it wasn't a problem. The grounds crew is out every day and the park is very clean. Easy access off I-20 with restaurants and shopping close by. Would definitely stay again.

My husband and I recently took our kids to a local fall festival where Elduets had their animal setup, and it was a highlight of the day! The staff were so patient and kind, answering every rapid-fire question my curious kids threw at them. My children absolutely adored feeding and petting the animals, and now I've been tasked by husband to convince my son that we do not need a donkey or chickens at home! Professionally, I've had the honor of booking Elduets for our nursing home's Fall Festival three years in a row, and it's always a heartwarming experience. Our residents light up when the animals arrive. This year was no different seeing someone recall memories from 60, 70, even 80 years ago while petting a goat or holding a chicken is truly a beautiful thing. The Elduets team goes above and beyond, making sure every resident has a chance to interact with the animals. If someone can't reach or see well, Robert and his family thoughtfully lift and position the animals for easier access, ensuring everyone is included. I would recommend Elduets Adventures & Events to absolutely anyone, families with inquisitive children, seniors who enjoy animal therapy, or anyone interested in learning more about farming, homesteading, and animal care.
